Vodafone — Auto upgradation of post paid plan to higher rate without consent

Mobile no [protected] currently on Vodafone RED plan with monthly rental of 799. This plan has been upgraded to higher rental plan of 999 without any communication / or seeking acceptance from Consumer. The simple reason i was given when i had to reach out to customer care after surprised by the bill amount is that the 799 plan has expired & automatically upgraded. But my simple question is how come you can raise the rental without my consent, raise a bill & make me liable for a decision vodafone has made & following up for pending dues with penalty. If the plan does not exist anymore, i should be intimated & taken verbal or written acceptance for change of plan. The term auto renewal, auto upgradation is being smartly used by telecom companies to their benefit to charge customers left right with no ethics of business conduct. When i was informed, It is my right to continue the services at higher rental or disconnect depending on my financial capability to spend on monthly basis for a mobile connection. Consumer in this case had no say & i would like to bring it to kind notice of vodafone that i'm ready to pay as per my 799 plan till date & switch to another plan of my choice if 799 no more exists but I cannot continue with your auto upgraded plan nor pay the excess amount charged on me & resulting penalties for delayed payment till resolution. I also seek support not to disconnect services till resolution is met considering the ongoing case seeking resolution
