Respected Sir/Madam,
I am Sonam Lachungpa, a Vodafone Idea (VI) customer and I have been using the same services for more than 5 years.
On 1/4/2026, I initiated a port request to switch from Vodafone Idea to Jio. I visited a retailer, completed all necessary procedures, and was charged ₹400 for a service/recharge on the new SIM. However, shortly after, I received multiple calls from a Vodafone Idea representative who misled and pressured me during the conversation. Without properly informing me, the representative tricked me into cancelling my port request.
Additionally, during the call, the representative also threatened me by stating that my SIM services could be stopped or disrupted if I proceeded with the porting request. This created fear and confusion and I felt compelled to follow their instructions.
As a result, my port request was cancelled without my genuine consent, and the new SIM I received has now become invalid. This has caused me financial loss of ₹400, along with unnecessary inconvenience, harassment and mental stress.
I find this behavior extremely unprofessional, unethical, and unacceptable. Such actions appear to be a deliberate attempt to prevent customers from porting out through misinformation and intimidation.
I request you to:
Investigate this matter seriously and take strict action against the concerned representative.
Ensure that my port request is allowed to proceed without further interference.
Provide appropriate compensation for the financial loss and inconvenience caused.
I request a prompt and fair resolution to this issue.
Thank you .
