Vodafone India — all services deactivate / barred for mobile no. [protected]

With reference to the above mobile number all the services were barred on 14/08/2017 without any reasons. On calling the customer care the reason given was wrong address verification. But to my surprise no physical verifications was done actually. On repeated requests at vodafone store no satisfactory reply is given by their staff. According to them i need to shift from post paid to prepaid and again from prepaid to postpaid. Is this the way to activate the services. Very surprising.
Please consider my request on urgent basis as i am working in an mnc and am not able to use my phone for the last 5 days. If my complaint is not considered i'll have to forward my complaint to higher authorities.

Vodafone India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
All telecom providers are pathetic. Tata Photon blocked my dongle number stating that documents were not submitted. I never received any notification for any KYC nor it was ever communicated to me in any way.
I was similarly told that now the number can only be activated as post paid under new document verification. I lost all my prepaid balance.
