Vodafone India — Extra Amount charged in bill - reason - Company's system was upgraded so they missed the plan details

In my monthly postpaid bill an amount of 448 was charged extra.
Upon raising complaint got reply - our system was getting upgraded so the billing system ignored the plans active on the number and calculated bills. Now we can compensate only partially (as a favor) and rest you bear.
Why should I bear when the company's system was under maintenance and they did not bother to check the bills before dispatching.
How can after committing blunder mistakes in bills preparation the company can shamelessly reply that as a gratitude we will credit partially !!
