Vodafone India — Failure to reverse charges for non-activated ir 500/- day 10-day pack

I requested the above prior to commencing travel to New Zealand on April2.

It was ostensibly activated but the data component was not and I was unable to use the internet, download my mail etc and presumed that the service had not commenced. I complained about this immediately and daily using MyVodafone application chat feature.

My complaint was not attended and data component was never activated. I used a local 'Spark' sim and paid handsomely for data usage. I presumed that the pack had not finally been activated and did not use my vodafone sim except perhaps inadvertently to pick up a few incoming calls.

My complaint was acknowledged during the second last day of my travel by a Vodafone counsellor who said that they had complained about the local agent. He apologised for my inconvenience and also said that they did not have an operational NZ service.

We had a similar conversation on my return and the counsellor promised that the pack charge would be reversed on my request after the bill was generated on April 24.

Vodafone has since raised the bill and reneged on its promise.

Another counsellor today said that Vodafone can only reverse 50% of its charges giving credit for minimum usage of my sim during international travel.

I am surprised and deeply disappointed that Vodafone cannot acknowledge and take responsibility for failure to provide service and provide suitable redress.
