I want to file fraud case against vodafone for cheating customers and billing by using fraud means. Also want to file a case in the consumer forum regarding the same. If any of you have experienced similar issue and taken some necessary steps to punish such service providers, please suggest.
The mobile service provider has charged excessively very high on my international roaming data usage. There is no provision for requesting a international data roam separately when you request for activation for international roaming. Along with the voice calling and sms.. Data also gets activated.
Accidentally my mobile data was activated for less than 30 minutes and vodafone has charged approximately inr 14, 000/- only for data usage for 23 mb download. This is a data leakage by accident, the service for international data roam was not requested by me for activation. The total bill amount is rupees 17000.00 (Plus the applicable taxes) which is much over and above my credit limit assigned to my mobile number.
I have been reaching out to customer care over emails and phone requesting vodafone to waive-off the charges incurred against international data usage which is way beyond the credit limit assigned however vodafone is very adamant and not listening to my concern at all. My services should have been barred as soon as the billing reached credit limit. Their response to this is credit limit is dynamic which is very strange, not justified and not complying by trai guidelines at all. Credit limit as per vodafone seems to be as per their convenience and not as per customer's. I would like to file a case against vodafone for this fraud tricks to charge the customers.
