Vodafone India — horrible tactics used by vodafone to loot their own customers

Hey Team,
This is regarding the horrible tactics used by Vodafone to LOOT their own customers.

Vodafone have not paid even the tiniest bit of attention to what I said (or my grievance) and simply sending out the automated mails. Hence posting here:

1. Vodafone’s Fraud of International Roaming charges :: I called Vodafone CUSTOMER CARE and asked for 10-daysinternational roaming. I was asked to do it via Vodafone app for a plan or Rs. 3500 which I did. No one told me additional pack of Rs. 149 will also be auto-activated with this, which is not just one –time for every month.
A plan which was activated without my consent or knowledge, but I have to pay this price, and de-activating the same ### is also my responsibility. Looking at this dishonest behavior of Vodafone – I decided to anyhow pay this amount but get rid of Vodafone postpaid.

2. Getting rid of Postpaid :: I went again to Vodafone store to get converted to pre-paid and asked them the procedure. They told me till balance is cleared I can’t switch and informed me that amount of Rs. 180 as per pro-rate has to be paid(as my plan was of 149). So, I paid Rs 4520 (previous bill amount + this extra amount) and switched to pre-paid.

3. After the switch to pre-paid I am being sent bills :: Now Vodafone is telling me that for a plan which was applied on my number without my knowledge I have to pay additional next month charges also. (Even I feel I should not have paid the previous month as it was a cheating from your end- BUT YOU HAVE STOOPED TO NEXT LEVEL BY SHAMELESSLY ASKING FOR ANOTHER MONTH, INSTEAD OF DEACTIVATING THE PLAN IMMIDEATELY.

4. INCOMPETENT and ILLETRATE STAFF :: When I had called CUSTOMER CARE initially, did the guy sitting there did not know about the roaming charges? Why could not he inform about the additional int. roaming charges for the month ? Also, when I visited the Vodafone store to convert postPaid to prePaid, even he has no idea about these extra roaming charges. Same with you Satish and other CUSTOMER CARE representatives – are you all illiterates that you neither go through mails nor listen to customer’s grievance and simply reply with copy-pasted responses to LOOT your own customers?

5. Vodafone Fraud onCall Customer Support :: And not only this, the recent talk with the Vodafone support has added on to it by saying "Sir, this 149/pm international roaming is activated automatically by Vodafone, but for deactivation, you have to manually deactivate this yourself."

6. Vodafone Fraud email Customer Support :: Till now I already have three different service request numbers ( [protected], [protected] and [protected]) and also three different reference number as well ([protected] && [protected] [protected]), from Vodafone regarding the same complaint.


As next steps-
• I am raising the issue with Consumer Court, and will be posting the issue as well as the call recordings on other social and complaint websites.

• I had moved to Vodafone pre-paid but looking at this pathetic level of Vodafone – where you only focus on extracting money from customers by even fraud methods- I have decided to port to Jio immediately.

• And not just that, will be Porting my all other postpaid corporate numbers (9711***392, 8585***086, 8285***845) to Jio/Airtel as well.


Would be interesting to see for how long Vodafone is able to survive in the market with such horrible tactics.
