[Resolved]  Vodafone India — Pathetic Service and misleading information by customer care rep in Retention Department.

I have mobile connection with Vodafone for the last seven years but the company treats you pathetic for your loyalty. I had an issue with my February month bill (which was due on 15.03.2014) where I got a bill of 5084 Rs bill from them. I was shocked to see that amount and I called up Vodafone customer service, where they told me that I was charged so much amount for over usage of my data plan. According to them I had consumed 1400MB over and above my Internet benefit plan. I explained them that I had called during my previous billing cycle and requested to be upgraded to 5GB plan. There was a misunderstanding and the plan was never activated. According to Vodafone, I was supposed to activate the plan by going online or sending them an activation text. I refused to pay such a huge amount as found that totally unfair. After a few days I got a call from a Retention team stating that as a goodwill of gesture, they can reverse 1400 Rs amount. At that moment I declined the offer, considering I still had to pay 3600, which is too much for me to pay. Later on I called the Vodafone care service and asked them to disconnect my number, as I was getting very huge bills from them, they transfered me to Retention Team, where they asked me the reason to disconnect the number and I explained them the above scenario. They told me to pay 3000 Rs and they assured me that they will reverse remaining 2000 Rs based on goodwill gesture and customer loyalty and I should not disconnect this number. During this time I accepted their offer and made a payment of 3000 the very next day. They had also assured me that my service will be disconnected due to this issue. this was during the month of April, after that I had a journey of hell with Vodafone. My outgoing services used to get deactivated in every two days due to the amount showing pending in my last cycle, I had to call every time and speak to representative, who would give me the same stupid reason for my deactivation for my account, without even looking my account. I has to explain each and every advisor about the issue an then they used to reactivate my service stating that the reversal has been submitted and it would take time to reflect in my bill. Imagine the frustration that I might have gone through every time these guys disconnected my service without any prior notice. I has to call atleast 50 time for this issue and each time I called they assured me that reversal has been done. Few days back when I called again, since my services were disconnected for no god dam reason. I spoke to relationship advisor named Chandraprakash, who was very rude and mentioned that the reversal will not be done and I can go ahead and disconnect my Number! When I told him that I had several calls with Retention Team and they had confirmed my reversal he refused to comment on that and was extremely rude and arrogant. If they never wanted to reverse the amount, why was it offered in first place? I want to know on what basis I got a confirmation calls from everyone I spoke from Retention team that the payment has been reversed. Why was i misguided? This is a pure example of misguidance and lack of customer serive from Vodafone, who claims to be the number one service provider. Everyone I called jus wanted to wrap the call and get rid of the client. Nobody was bothered to own the issue and help me.This show where u guys stand! I want my reversal updated and also all late payment and reactivation charges that you guys have charged. I need a compenstaion for how was treated by your company
