Vodafone India — Unprofessional in resolving issues | |||
Dear Sir, This complaint is regarding the bill issues with Vodafone, my Cell number was ([protected]). During the month on April-May, I was travelling to US and had requested for international roaming along with the plan just prior to leaving abroad. The day I returned from US they barred my all outgoing calls due to non-payment. This was done without any prior intimation. When I called them back to check they said my billed and unbilled amount was around Rs. 60, 000 (Sixty thousands). They were unable to give me any further information due to the server issue. They also mentioned that there could be a possibility of an error in the bill as the amount was very high. This conversation took place as soon I landed in India. Post that discussion, I sent many emails and made many calls to Vodafone to resolve the issue. They were very unhelpful to resolve this; it was due to my persistent following up (three months) with them that they realized their mistake and they reversed Rs. 55, 099.22. Below is the email snapshot I received on Sept 24th. “Further, we wish to inform you that we have already processed an adjustment of Rs.55099.22/- charged towards data charges in international roaming levied in your bill dated 25/06/2015. The amount has been already credited in your amount due.” Since over last four months, I followed with them regularly. It was me who was keen to close these issues. However, due to delayed response and frequent changing of relationship managers it became impossible for complete resolutions. I could never have my second discussion with any one relationship managers as they kept changing. Also, recently when a collection executive came to my house he failed to produce his id card. This is not the first time Vodafone has made such mistake, in the past ( a couple of years ago) they had to tender an apology letter to me for their mistake. Since this is completely vodafone’s mistake and I have to suffer due to it, I had to physically go to Banks, Utilities to changes my number and also spent considerable time changing numbers at various online forum. This has caused be lot of inconvenience Through you, I wish Vodafone should be penalized for this mess so that other middle income group won't suffer like me.
