Dear Sir,
I own a post paid Vodafone number. When I migrated from Ahmedabad circle to Mumbai circle, I was given a faulty SIM card. It went "SIM Card removed" frequently and even between calls - because of which I have faced problems in my official calls also and missed out on important calls.
I raised a request for SIM replacement on 15th February with reference number :[protected]
Requested a new SIM on 15th Feb. Was assured a delivery within 48 hours
1st follow up call to customer care: On 20th Feb, they said SIM has been dispatched on 16th Feb. Will be delivered by next day.
2nd Call : Delay by courier company. Will recieve in 24 hours.
3rd call: my phone was not reachable hence they did not deliver. No attempt on my alternate number was made. Assured delivery within 24 hours
4th Call : SIM car was Delivered to someone named Raman on 20th February (the bluff)
5th Call : 1st March - Original status is dispatched and its still in transit.
Nobody has followed up yet - inspite of so many calls. I stay in Panvel and so I even gave them the option to deliver it at my office address in Sakinaka Junction.
Reason for delay is understood - but Vodafone has been bluffing. Lying to the customer won't help. There is no Raman in our society. and I dont think they would hand over my SIM card to any random and unauthorised person. However - today I called up again and confirmed the status of my complaint and it says dispatched on 16th February.
I spoke to a representative Jyotsna and told her if I dont get the SIM within 24 hours, I will mirgate to Airtel. I am surprised to see - Vodafone does not care about losing its 10+ years old customer to Airtel. My request was still not taken up. However - I have decided and proceeded with migrating to Airtel.
I need an explanation for cheating / Lying, the delay due to which I missed out on my important official calls and information.
