Vodafone India — vodafone erroneous bill charges for services not availed | |
My mobile number - [protected] I had requested for international roaming activation from 2nd may 2018 to 12th may 2018 For my travel to the us. However upon reaching, despite making the network change to t- Mobile (As advised by vodafone representative), my device did not connect to any network, Which inconvenienced me severely. Upon calling customer service, i was told that it Would take 24 more hours to activate roaming on my phone. Since 2 days had already gone By, i asked them to cancel my roaming request. I was assured by the vodafone Representative that it was indeed cancelled and that i would not be charged for roaming Charges. (Of course there were no calls made or received as there was no network on my Device!). Now, (25th may 2018) i received a message from vodafone that my outstanding bill is 4657 Inr (Ie the roaming charges) and my services have been suspended without nay advance Notice. Now my phone is suddenly a brick and i cant receive important calls that i am expecting, Because of an wrong outstanding amount that i do not owe them and due to the error made My vodafone. On calling the vodafone customer care for clarifying the situation, the representative For both rude and unhelpful. For one, he said that i had chosen to get the roaming Deactivated when in fact it was cancelled since it was never activated in the first Place. He did not listen to my problems, but kept repeating "it is not vodafone's mistake And we will try to waive off the amount", while what i am asking for is not a waiver but A correction made due to error from vodafone's end. This is so infuriating, not only was i left stranded in the us despite having made Arrangements before flying due to vodafone's negligence and now, i have to waste my time In talking to one representative after another who don't seem to maintain any continuity Of my complaint, while the services on my my phone still remain barred!! I have been a vodafone customer for so many years now. This incident has caused me to Reconsider my service provider. Was this information helpful? | |
