Vodafone India — Vodafone - overcharging while disconnection

1. I had called the customer care and applied for disconnection of my number in the last week of March 2017. The customer care guy informed that within 7 days the number would be disconnected. I also asked him wat would be the final bill and he informed me that it would be 280 which is immediately paid. On the same day I had stopped using the number.

2. After that I did not receive any call for customer care for disconnection.

3. On 6th April, 2017 I received a bill for Rs. 879. After that I received a call from customer care asking me to pay Rs. 879. I asked them to recheck and get back to me as I had already paid 280 rupees in the last week of March. After that I did not receive any call from Vodafone.

4. again on 10 th May i received an email asking me to pay Rs.1857. (I still cant figure out why I received this email)

5. Suddenly on 12 th May I receive a legal notice for non payment of Rs.1357. I called up the number given at the end of the email and ended with no response.

6. The Concerned person called up today I.e., 18th May and started harrassing me and threatening me with legal action. The concerned person used abusive language and forced me to make a payment of 1357 which was unreasonable, unethical and atrocious.

Note that I had applied for disconnection before my billing cycle ended, so as per my April Bill i was supposed to pay 590 (879 minus 280 which i had already paid on the day when I had called for disconnection).

After reviewing all the bills, I called up the concerned person to inform that the same is not correct and the balance amount of[protected] should be made to me as the same in not wrong. However the said person is not willing to refund claiming that i had used the phone after I had applied for disconnection, which is not true.

Resolve the aforesaid issue and Take immediate action to refund my money.
