My late father had a VI connection of which sim was lost and blocked after. I went to the VI store to get it activated they said I have to give a letter requesting to transfer of ownership of the number and his Death Certificate, ID, etc, after arranging after more than a month I went to the VI store at Park Street and their they said I had to upgrade the plan from 399 to 699 family plan in order to get the number activated, having no options I agreed to it and then they took my ID and told me to wait, it took more than 2 and half hours for them to register the number to my name then asked for my spare phone to activate the number and kept with him for a good 40 mins or so and then they gave me a second phone number to my name which I never needed and told me to pay 299 for which I asked I do have a security deposit of six month's worth to which they said it cannot be used and will be refunded via Check so I paid and just wanted to go home and I went to get one connection got two I mean I already have an Airtel number and this VI number is second so no point of have third number when I just want to keep my Dad's number as a spare for if someone didn't knew about his passing calls.
I came back home around 8:45 from the store and tried to call customer care and explan the whole story and get the third numberb disconnected, the agent said they have raised the complain and will be resolved 2 to 4 weeks, I kept the phone and then called next morning to check on the complain number but their was no complain to my amusement so I told him to raise a disconnection request and this time I noted down the complain number and the funny thing is to get disconnected I have to wait 9 days for the request to be processed now imagen if new connection took that much time. Anyways now the third connection got disconnected and I have received a bill for that number its not much but considering I never wanted to have that number is a little annoying.
Now my father's number I can't use to talk to anyone as calls keep dropping, I'll port to Airtel.
I would like to get my VI connection to work and extra bill to be cancelled and somthing should be done to stop this kind of grievance from happening again woth anyone. Was this information helpful? |
