I am currently residing outside India and I had Vodafone Idea postpaid connection. My mobile number was [protected].
Before leaving from India last year I had submitted a request in VI tp put my number in safe custody paid their charges. Generally whenever my mobile number safe custody was about to expire, I used to get an email from Vodafone saying my number's safe custody is about to expire and they were updating me regarding extension. I used to get email generally 30, 15, 3 days before expiry.
But this time, my mobile number safe custody period was expired on 3rd March 2023 but they did not sent any email either 30 days, 15 days or 3 days before expiry because of this i couldn't submit extension request for safe custody.
Vodafone has disconnected my mobile number without informing me. When i enquired about them, they said your number is deactivate and either me or any of my blood relative can visit Vodafone store within KARNATAKA to reactivate that. But none of my blood relative is currently staying in Karnataka and Its its very difficult for me to come to Karnataka to just collect new SIM card as its very costly as round trip costs approx INR 90000 from my current location.
My complaint is that without informing customer, how can they deactivate someone's mobile number. I have registered a complaint in their system also(Reference number is[protected] but they are always saying visit Vodafone store within Karnataka which is not feasible.
I need this mobile number badly as I am using this mobile number since many years and everything is linked with this number.
Request you to please help me here.
Thanks,
Prashant Kumar
