Vodafone — number disconnected for nonpayment of another number under dispute | |||
Dear sir, I submitted the following complaint 7 days ago and have still not got a response.. I request your help as i am feeling helpless and vodafone is obviously not cooperative about this. My alternate number is[protected] if you want to call me. Vodafone has forcefully stopped my outgoing and incoming calls on [protected] and i see this as a blackmailing tactic by vodafone which is against fair trade practices. I am baffled in my thinking as to how can you even think of doing this for a number which has been paying all its due on date consistently for the last 15 years!!!. Last year i bought a dongle under number [protected] and i discontinued its use since march 2017 this year but you continued to send me bills even for those periods. I paid you till april 17 but this still didn’t stop. You continued to send me threatening messages that my old number will be disconnected if i don’t pay up. I even agreed to settle for a lumpsum of 800 provided you give it to me in writing that this is what we have agreed as a mutual settlement amount. You never sent anything to me as agreed so that i could pay you off and settle any issue with this number. Earlier this month you disconnected my outgoing calls and reinstated them again saying it was a technical error. Yesterday you suddenly stopped them again and when i called i was told that it was due to non payment of the dongle bill! I would like to see any agreement / clause that i have mutually agreed to, that empowers you to disconnect my old number for non payment of bills on another number. If this is your internal recovery policy then you have absolutely no right to stop any services on my old number [protected]. I hope good sense prevails and you resume services on my old number back to normal, failing which i intend to pursue this matter with your appellate authority ms talwar and simultaneously with the consumer court as well for redress and inconvenience caused by vodafone.
