Hi vodafone idea team,
Trust this note finds you well and in high spirits (After recently launched vi advertisement).
But trust me the ground reality is completely different and vague. Here is my story sharing example of work ethics followed by your organisation.
I am an existing prepaid idea customer and on 12th sept'20 went to nearby vodafone store (Fateh nagar, jail road, delhi 110018) to upgrade my sim to 4g (Sorry got excited by your new ad). The representative said the merger is not fully system operational and documents uploaded by idea are not visible in vodafone system so you need to buy postpaid plan and submit your documents. I objected to this and had a word with store in-charge (Satendra) who made further stories and frighten us by saying that your number will be deactivated and postpaid is the only way out (First surprise). There was no choice but to give in to their sales ploy. They completed the formalities and handed over the sim packet and informed that it will be activated in 48 hours. Coming out of store we checked the sim packet and it was empty (Second surprise), yes, there was no sim card.
I went back and they handed over another packet and this time sim was there. Total time spent = 3 hours, visit no.1
On 15th sept, my old sim go deactivated and i dialed the given number and a code to activate the new sim, but it did not work. I went to store the same day and the representative informed that sim was faulty (Third surprise) and need to change to another sim and it will again require the documentation and will further take another 24 hours to activate (Fourth surprise). Trying to understand where is my fault here, i put across the point that i have no means to communicate as old sim is de-activated, the store in-charge (Satendra) intervene and promised to get sim activated within 24 hours and gave me his number so that i do not need to visit the store. Total time taken = 2 hours, visit no.2
Today is 17th sept, the sim is still not activated and the person does not pick-up the phone (Fifth surprise).
I am on my way of third visit to store and will share further surprises on my return.
Also, now i am realizing that why people were angry and some even shouting in store. Its the amazing customer service and work ethics this organisation follow. I would humbly request mr. Ravinder takkar and mr. Birla to visit your stores and experiences the surprises your company sells.
