Vodafone — unfair trade practice and case of fraud and cheating by vodafone

I recently came across my father bill dated 6th jun 2017 to 5th july 2017 for 98110* and 98115* was absolutely shocked and disgruntled by the inflated bill and old rental plans still running inspite of the low plan on offer and not even one attempt made by vodafone to switch my dad's number to low plans as offered by other telecom subscribers like airtel and jio.

Further i had called the customer care @ [protected] and was put on hold for almost 20 mins by the customer service agent ms. Priyanka who was unable to connect to her supervisor and eventually the call was disconnected by vodafone. I am extremely angry and feel cheated by the atrocious response by vodafone and would like to highlight the follow points to validate my claim:

1. The current rental plan is talk2all444 plan - this is a very old plan and should have been changed by vodafone after the new plans were launched. To illustrate, i was told by ms. Priyanka that their is a new plan of rs499 which had all free services (Free local+std incoming/outgoing and internet) but since my father did not put a request to change the plan it was not changed. I want to ask you when a person who is not very savvy as in the case of my father who is not very conversant with technology, would he continue to pay inflated bills for long time or be on old plans and devoid of good services only because he doesn't know how to dial customer service or write email to vodafone??? I expect vodafone to have the basic courtesy to inform and keep the customer updated on regular basis.

2. There is an additional charge of rs 650 for 5gb free internet 3g/4g on the bill - this is worst thing vodafone can do to a customer by charging for data when currently due to telecom data is available at a very less cost and filtered into the plan. Also when the new bill plan of rs499 informed by priyanka already has 5gb of free data and still vodafone is charging heavily each month for data separately. Is vodafone not willing to change the plans to suit its loyal customers or proactively offer new plans to save the cost on monthly bill??? Isn't its your responsibility to automatically stop charging for data and not fill your pockets by cheating or misleading your customers??

3. International roaming - this service is still active and every month rs 149 rental is charged. Again i want to ask why can't vodafone stop the service or call up customer's to check whether the service is required??

4. Also there are value added services which my father has not activated but still he is paying month on month rental for these services. E. G seven3rockers bollywood buzz, which he or i have no idea why at the first place it is activated??? This needs to immediately stopped and not charged to us.

5. Downloads - there are certain content download which are activated and have no clarity what are these and why it has been activated?? This also needs to be deactivated immediately!

6. Supplement number 98115* - we have time and again requested vodafone customer care to activate the sim and still the sim is not working at our end. We have been charged rental for the same which we would not be interested to pay and demand full refund of the bill for may-june'17.

As per the above calculation i demand a total refund of rs 4577 from vodafone for wrongfully not changing the plan to new rs 499 plans and activating vas and downloads services activated with our knowledge hence keeping us in dark for last 6 months. Further i also expect a speedy response from vodafone on the above claims and failing which i will be compelled to go for alternate subscribers. I would also not hesitate to take legal action on vodafone for unfair trade practices and also raise these issues on social networking forum. I will also not hesitate to reach out to the vodafone management and voice my concerns.
