[Resolved]  Volkswagen India — Never going to buy another volkswagen or skoda or audi car

Right from the emission scandal i was skeptical when my father zeroed in on the top-end model of the jetta highline at. The car was finally given to us after the staff mentioned in writing the emission scandal shouldn't affect us and in all likelihood we will get a software upgrade to make things all legit and fine. But little did we know that would be the start of our headache! We got our service book and manual after more than 4 weeks of the car delivery and 100s of follow-up calls and visits!!! (Whats more our service was due according to the system and we didnt have a service booklet to do anything)
The car drive-wise is really great and built also feels sturdy but it is the additional items like navigation system, auto sensor wipers etc. That are missing despite cars that cost half the cost provide far more.
What is worse is that our experience at the service station has been beyond dismal! The time frame it takes for the service has always exceeded the estimate and parts are never available! And every time i have had to give them my customer details as they have supposedly not been able to get my past registration and service details!
We had given our car for change of a backlight (For which we paid fully) but where as the time estimate was given as 5 days it took more than 2 weeks to get the car back... This was the time when my father suspected something fishy and even confronted the service staff for which they obviously denied. Now 2 months post the incident i recently noticed front passenger side roof having rust and when i looked closely i realised there were small dents around it... I completely suspect this was the issue for the delay last time (As our car is under cctv cover throughout the parking and we keep two covers on the car) and the problem happened during our car being in the workshop. They tried their best to cover this issue and we have been given this problem!
It is very unfortunate we have had more than 15 cars in last 12 years and have most of them parked at the same location yet never had rust and such cracks as well as dents on the roof. The make of volkswagen and the service of volkswagen is pathetic if this is what we get! (What is worse is the dents have definitely been fixed and if it were in our knowledge we would have got them corrected at the workshop but as this is not the case we are sure it happened during the last over-extended stay of our car at the moti nagar service station)
Would never recommend this brand to anyone. Regret why we didnt go for hyundai or suzuki!!!
Lastly, we took the car for the roof repair yesterday to another workshop (Not the moti nagar one, which i will never go back to again!) and to my utter surprise the workshop advisor asked us about the navigation card?!? (My father had been pissed off that the high end model that costs 25l doesnt have a navigation system and i was very upset and was going to buy a 3rd party system to compensate) and this is when we realised the moti nagar showroom never gave us the card and we feel cheated and so angry with them. Yet to confront them on this issue but my family and i feel frustrated and disheartened with our experience with volkswagen. Never going to recommend this brand and never going to use any of its sister brands as was planning to look at skoda kodiaq and audi sometime later in life!!! They are a figment of what i thought the brand was.
