Vu Televisions — vu 50" led tv display panel issue

I bought 50" vu led tv 2 years back and now there is a problem with the display panel (Vertical lines on the screen). Since the warranty is only for 1 year, the engineer says that its a display panel issue and they say that it can't be repaired and the panel has to be replaced which costs around rs. 25, 000/-. This is pure cheating from vu company as they are selling cheap quality products which don't even last for 2 years! Customer care team say that it happens in some tvs, but looking at the complaints, looks like with vu tvs, it happens with 50% of their tvs!!! It is definitely an issue of their poor manufacturing quality, so why should the customer be at loss!
Customer care also offered buyback option in that they will give you 3000 rupees only of your.

I request the consumer forum team to support and save me from such cheaters like vu tv.

Really it is poor quality tv. Now some red linesvsppeared in my tv also half shade pic appears in the tv. Really pathetic quality.

True... Worst TV... After 2 years it started to its real MAGIC with all these ### issues. Really it's time now to ban and not use any Chinese products. Never know what will happen to them. Better to see other options.

I hv paid 10k to resolve screen issue from external repair services for which official VU executives quoted 23k. Pathetic company and their service

I have got the same problem with my 40 inch VU TV.
Colour thick lining screen only.

Only Two years passed.

Poor quality and cheap products.

Can you suggest how much cost to repair this ?

Customer care is also not responding well.

Plz support.

i am also facing such problem, the person who visited my house told me that your panel is not working and it will cost you more than 20 thousand for your 50 inch tv and im shocked to see that these fraud companies dupe their customers and then start charging them exorbitant amount of money for the cheap quality they provided.

I had the same experience. Display panel of my VU 49" 4k LED TV started malfunctioning (vertical lines). So VU replaced it and now after 2 years the new display panel as also start showing horizontal lines. Thankfully I had purchased extended warranty after the first bad experience so I hope they will replace it again for free. But this speaks about the bad quality of VU TVs.

Seems lot of customer hv same problems with vu television. Flipkart & Amazon should ban such fraudulent companies if they have to be in e-commerce domain. I resolved my issue by paying 10000 from outside vendors rather paying 25 to vu engineers.

I too had same issue after the warranty period. VU is selling poor quality products. They also change 1500 for technitian to visit. This is too much.
