My one month old vu android smart tv has already faced a lot of glitches, which has got me thinking how horrible the tv is and about its sub standard quality. I am not able to access any of its android functionality which is not happening for the first time, the home buttons do not work on both the remotes now. Last time a service technician had come and it took him a while to figure out what exactly the problem was with the tv and now again the problem has occured again not even 2 weeks after the repair.
Worst experience having got an android tv and not able to use its android function every fortnight.
Thinking i spent 47k for this junk makes me feel betrayed by this company. I just wish i could somehow get rid of this tv and get my money back. I hope no one makes this mistake of buying from such a cheap brand where the days i actually get to see tv is lesser that the times i have to call the serviceman/technician for help.

    I bought a vu 65inch tv, just one week before. The company sales person recommended me to buy from it's distributor baron electronics in electronic city, bangalore and not through online flipkart.
    Baron didn't had a display piece and they sales person said this is new latest version which can connect with our iphones and many other things. But when the tv was installed the service person said that it has very limited things which will work. Instead i should have got the android version for my requirement.
    I felt cheated as this tv doesn't meet my requirement. I spoke to the sales person and he agreed the mistake and said he will speak to baron electronics for replacement. But the baron people were very rude and said replacement is not possible and i need to pay them 2 times the gst amount, incase they agree for replacement.

    This is all open cheating. How can i get justice and get these culprits punished.

My payment order number is [protected] i had booked my products in luck by chance offer on 04/03/2018. So i request u to go through my problem and help me to receive my products.

        As per warranty end date it on 12 jan2018 and my tv display gone dul for this led tv in feb2018. When i called the technician, he does not do any thing and charged some rs.600/- for service charges. He recommended that tv pannell need to be changed which will cost rs.17000/- while i bought this tv in rs.20000/- when i asked the reason for fault while my stabilizer was ok and working well. So he told that there may be some reverse current from hdmi cable from dth box to lead tv that may damage the tv. So i told that this is then design fault and what you are doing for that so he does not give any answer. Without giving any servicing he has changed rs.600/-. My recommendation for every buyer that not to buy vu tv as that will definitely gone faulty after 1 year as no durability of this useless product. Pathatic service and service engineers. Please be aware and donot buy any product of vu tv.

          I have brought the vu tv on june 21st 2017 (Delivered), after 6 months, the tv is not working. I raised a complaint on 6th dec. 2017.

          Vu tv mechanic came on 7th dec and told me that the board is the problem and waited for 3 days for the new board, again the new board was not supported and still they tried 4 times, but still they have not resolved the issue.

          After that 13th other mechanic came, and he told me that we can't solve the issues, and they agree to replace the vu tv same product or higher version vu tv.

          But still then there is no response from them. Kindly log the complaint and they should either replace or refund my amount.

            It's been a worst experience that i am having with my vu 4k android tv after spending so much money on it, it's a waste of money for me now. At first instance i had purchased vu led 50 inch tv in cash, after that i have changed my mind and cancelled the led tv and purchased vu 4k android tv as i belive everyone should upgrade themselves in this digital time which i did it. But today after giving complaint to vu support a week a go i had and i had an engineer visit today and i came to know that being an android there are lot of apps which are not available at all on the play store, in short playstore is almost empty according to me.

            So for me this tv is just like another led tv inspite it's and android tv i cannot download any apps on this from any of the app store that they have provided nor i can download any apps from the browser also.

            So i would ask vu as well as flipkart people what should i do with this tv it's say it's a smart tv but there is nothing smart in this it seems that i been cheated by saying smart android tv as i don't see any feature of android i always have to depend on my cellphone to view anything which i can do it with my android box which i already own it but not using as i belive that i have a smart android tv.

              vu 50" led tv display panel issue

              I bought 50" vu led tv 2 years back and now there is a problem with the display panel (Vertical lines on the screen). Since the warranty is only for 1 year, the engineer says that its a display panel issue and they say that it can't be repaired and the panel has to be replaced which costs around rs. 25, 000/-. This is pure cheating from vu company as they are selling cheap quality products which don't even last for 2 years! Customer care...

              I raised a complain 4 weeks back still the issue has not been resolved.

              They are telling internal damage and its not covered in warranty.

              But in fact there is no internal damage as they have decide not to replace or repair the tv without cost they just closed my complaint.

              The tv is 8 months old, no proper response from customer care

                I registered a complaint about 20 days ago that my led tv is not working. My complaint number is vu15635.. Still there is no response by your company. No good response from your service provider in my area. Your customer care numbers are just waste of time. If there is no solution by your company then i'm going to register a case in consumer court about your service fraud.

                  I had place an order on flipkart( order id OD[protected] on 10th aug.
                  I received the product on 15th aug at the address mentioned in the invoice.
                  I requested vu and flipkart many times to install the tv. My installation address is different from delivery address. Actually before purchase i called vu and flipkart to confirm that installation can be done on other location(Hajipur-844101) or not, they(both) told me that it will be done at any location, no problem.

                  VU customer care told me " our engineer will install free of cost at any location within one month, just you will have to update your address only"

                  Then i ordered the tv and delivered on 15aug. I called many times vu c care, now VU c care told me that sir installation will be done by flipkart so we will forward your request to flipkart. I got cheated by flipkart and vutvs.com

                  So i request you readers please don't buy VU tv.
                  Its a fraud company.

                    Dear sir
                    I have recently purchased a vu television from flipkart on 21 april, 2016. It was suddenly stop working from july 23, 2016 i found that power cable was defective. The same i have registered a complain to [protected]@vutvs.com on july 27, 2016.

                    A person from service center visited our home on 29 july, 2016. He also framed the same issue as power cable failure. Further he told that i don’t bought the power cable along with me, i will bring it back from service center tomorrow. But the person didn’t turn up with the power cable.

                    After a week i have mail regards the same to the vu support on aug 8, 2016 but no response till date.

                    Yesterday aug 14, 2016 a person came from vu service center but the problem was not solved, again he framed a new problem that it was an issue in the power board, he said that i will come back next week and fix it soon.

                    I can understand 3 out of 100 will be defective, although if the provide good service it can be neutralized. I seriously upset because vu television service, i will never encourage anyone to buy vu tv.

                    I want vu to replace the tv.

                      Please kindly read the whole body because you will than only understand how much problems i had to go through for my new tv and till yet it has not been resolved as delayed and neglected by the company - flipkart sir!!!
                      I purchased vu (55) 140 cm iconium uhd 4k smart tv (Reference: ltdn55xt780xwau3d) ordered on saturday, june 25, 2016 (Od[protected] of rs.64, 989/- at around 07:21 pm in the evening...

                        Dear Consumer, I am sharing this with utmost disgust and pain after having purchased one 40' LED TV of Vu in October. Just after 3 months, this TV has developed a fault against which i registered a complaint in their toll free number on 05th February, 2016. The compliant number is HO118735.

                        I have been calling on this help line number on a daily basis and i was told that this TV will be replaced and i was also assured that TV has been dispatched and replacement will be provided on an urgent basis. However, when i called up their customer care again on 19.02.2016, i was rudely informed that there is no stock available and there is no likelihood of providing any replacement anytime soon. I feel cheated and misled in buying this product.
                        I want my full refund of the amount which i paid as i have lost all faith on VU's product.

                          I purchased the TV on 06-Oct-2015. Issue: External HDD is not getting detected. I have called the CC and they have been redirecting the call to some area manager whose work is just ask the issue and utter the word "We are there to help. Don't worry" Various false responses from him: 1. Better return the TV back 2. Its not at all an issue 3. Today we have power cut at office. Will reply you back I have taken all possible steps on my side, checking with various HDD, tried both FAT and NTFS formats, with ext. power supplied HDD, ... Till now I have spent 50 rupees calling the no. given by the customer care executive. But no responses from them yet. Its certainly obvious that "why it cannot compete till date with monster brands like SONY, SAMSUNG" WORST(EST) CUSTOMER SUPPORT.

                          They have agreed to provide replacement. Thanks a lot for their concern. It will be really helpful for the customers if they were provided with faster service. Though it was really hard for us earlier, now we feel better with their service. Thanks a lot VU. I rely on you. Surely will suggest VU to my friends & colleagues.

                            I purchased 4 x 50in TVs from this company. One got damaged (Scratch on the LCD screen) and we asked them to repair it. They are asking to pay money equivalent to the new TV and even suggesting us to treat it as a scrap and buy the new TV. I request everybody not to buy this company TV. It is a simple fraud company.
                            This is cheap chinease TV . My TV failed after 2 months . Many lines on display ... now down. No Service support from VU team... Do not repair in warranty
                            Do not cover warranty issue

                            Do not Buy otherwise after support trouble you will face

                              Sub : Complaint against Vu engineers/representative for harassing and threatening and gundagardi by them.

                              Sir,
                              I have purchased VU LCD 32" LC-32HU18S and was having complaint regarding the TV coz it gets automatically zoomed and cant use remote control at that time and also It makes sound while getting ON. So I have given a complaint through email to the email address [protected]@technologies.vu on 1 June 2010(Copy attached). The company’s engineer attended the complaint to check the TV and after 2 days reported me that the defect was because of keypad or micom and also told me that replacing keypad will cost me Rs. 1500/- or if the defect is in micom the new micom will cost me Rs. 6500 appr. I have replied the engineer to check my LCD properly and give me the exact cost of the repairs. It was agreed on the phone with Mr. Santosh , Vu engineer that if the problem is resolved within Rs. 1500/- including the cost of the parts i.e. key-pad then I approve the cost of repair of Rs. 1500/- or the LCD will given the status as in the complaint given ( TV automatically zooms after getting ON) without payment of any cost. So as per these terms the company’s representative/engineer attended and I allowed him to open the backcover for repair the LCD. After your engineer attended the complaint on 4th June 2010 and tried to repair it he couldn’t repair and left my LCD non-working/DEAD due to non availability of proper parts. He had promised to attend the complaint on Saturday, 5th June 2010 but he didn’t come. Whenever i call the company/ service center I was being given false promise of attending the complaint next day but nobody attended. So I have given another complaint on email to the same email address as above on June 09 2010 requesting the engineer to repair the LCD as early as possible. After my severe complaint the engineer/representative Mr. Santosh, Vu Technologies has attended the complaint and took the parts of my LCD with him for further checking on 09/06/2010 again promising me to come the next day for repairing my TV.

                              On June 11, 2010 Mr. Santosh had called my son Vinayak S Badve and asked him to pay Rs. 3300 as the defect was in power supply. He told him on the phone that the problem was not because of our mishandling but it was because of the engineer who attended the complaint on June 06 2010. I again reminded him about the nature of complaint or the original status before the engineer attended was a minor defect was that the LCD goes automatically in zoom and when corrected through keypad manually was working fine and the lcd is lying dead just because the engineer / representative who attended my complaint and while trying to repair it he could not and left it dead promising me to come on Saturday 5th June 2010. I requested him to revert back the condition of my tv as per my first complaint (that the LCD goes automatically in zoom) if the repair is not possible in Rs. 1500/- but Mr. Santosh didn’t agree and threatened my son vinayak that if he doesn’t pay Rs. 3300 for power supply then he will not even attend my complaint

                              Mr. Nilesh representative/ engineer of VU also called me on 12th June, 2010 at 5:30 pm from telephone number [protected] and threatened me to pay Rs. 3300 or nobody will attend my complaint. I warned him not to harass me / cheat me / threaten me and also requested him to atleast bring my LCD to the condition as per my first complaint was that the LCD goes automatically in zoom and please not to harass me to pay for NO FAULT FROM OURSIDE. I also again requested him to attend the complaint today itself and will be waiting for him.


                              On the same day Mr. Nilesh representative/ engineer of VU again called me at 5:40 pm from the telephone number [protected] and threatened me to pay rs. 3300 or nobody will attend the complaint. I warned him to not to harass me / cheat me / threaten me and also requested him to atleast bring my LCD to the condition as per my first complaint was that the LCD goes automatically in zoom and also I agree to pay Rs. 1500/- for including repair and parts as approved before and please not to harass me to pay for NO FAULT FROM OURSIDE. I also again requested him to attend the complaint today itself and will be waiting for him but not to my surprise NOBOY ATTENDED MY COMPLAINT.

                              They are also not returning the parts of my LCD which Mr. Santosh engineer/representative has taken with him on 09/06/2010

                              Sir please note my LCD was working with minor defect and is lying dead because of no fault of mine or from ourside before of the above engineers/representatives of Vu technologies has opened it for repairs.

                              It appears that the engineers/representatives of Vu technologies are trying to cheat me and if I disallow cheating towards me they are harassing / threatening me and giving me mental torture for Rs. 3300/-
                              Sir I am old lady of age 68 central govt. pensioner and in lot of mental agony due to the above act. Even my tv lying dead has taken away my home entertainment which I was enjoying at my ease at my residence. My pension is my livelihood and doesn’t allow me or I can’t afford more than Rs. 1500/- and that is why I asked them to revert/ bring to its original condition as per the first complaint tv goes automatically in zoom which they are totally DENYING.

                              Sir if the above acts doesn’t stop at once and my lcd is not repaired within Rs. 1500 as approved or brought back to previous status as per my first complaint within 2 working days I will assume that my complaint will not be attended and cheating still continues and not only the engineers/representatives but also the company management is also involved and collectively cheating and harassing and threatening me and I will be forced to take legal action against the company vu technologies a division of Zenith computers Ltd. for cheating me and also file a police complaint against the above engineers/representatives for harassing me and threatening me.
                              I will also make all the efforts to make the common man/public aware of this cheating and gundagardi by employees of vu technologies in newspapers and or any/all other media so they do not get wrongly impressed by big advertisements false promises of Zenith Computers Ltd. and Vu Technologies.

                              ALSO PLEASE NOTE THAT I HAVE PURCHASED THE VU LCD JUST BECAUSE IT IS BACKED BY A ESTEEM AND EFFICIENT MANAGED COMPANY ZENITH COMPUTERS LTD. AND FOR THE SAME REASON I HAVE ASKED THE SUPPORT/REPAIR FROM THE COMPANY ITSELF.

                              Warning : Please avoid VU Products.
                              This is a use & throw product, Chinese products could be more reliable. There is no service and spare parts are not available and even top management cannot help you in getting the faulty parts or replacement. So only you have money and don't know where to throw, buy VU Products

                              Very true no one should buy VU tv as it's life is only for 1& half years only.
                              I have also purchased Vu led 43" FHD for Rs 26000/ from flipkart in January 2016, & suddenly the display of tv turned off with in 1 year & eight month of purchase. When complaint was filed with the company the company sent their engineer on chargable basis. As the company offers warranty only for 1 year.
                              After checking twice the company says that the display needs to be replaced, for which i have to pay. the replaced component will have a warranty of 3 months only.
                              Why should one pay for the main component when it malfunctions in such a short span. This company provides TV's only for 1-2 years of life or some one rightly said vu products are use & through poor quality products.

                              Nobody should buy VU Tv as their life is very short.
                              A strict NO to Vu Tv's.
