The perfect synonym for fraud = yatra. The big fraud company and the worst customer support ever I have seen, I believe each customer support executive is trained for it. I had booked a package trip to Andaman from 17th to 21st Dec 2014 called “Thrilling Andaman Ex Chennai” it was a group package and hence paid additional Rs:4500 on top of the package money for individual car during the Trip. Here is my experience with Yatra: I reached Chennai airport at 6:30 am yesterday(17th Dec 2014) to board Chennai to port Blair fight which was scheduled at 9:35am. But the airlines had cancelled all the flights due to some operational issues and when I checked with customer care of airlines they said the tickets are booked by agency and told me to contact the agency. The whole package was arranged by Yatra and hence called the emergency support number[protected] but after selecting option 1 for domestic travel it was redirected to a Vodafone number which was switched off. When I dialed 2 it was going to international emergency contact number where the person was not supportive and he always used to say “we will get back to you” but he never get back. After 8:30 am when I dialed the emergency contact number and dialed 1 the number was ringing but no response. I tried reaching [protected] and was going to domestic holidays where it used to say the support hours start at 10 am in the morning. After 10:30 am I was able to get in touch with yatra support but the support person Mr. Vikas Dahiya told me to board the next available flight on my own expenses but the next flight was in the evening which had 20hrs of travel time. I asked Vikas Dahiya for refund since the trip has not started yet and I haven't utilized even a 1% of the trip I asked to check if he can arrange the same package for different dates. He said he has no info on it and will work internally and will get back to me but did not get back. I was in Chennai on my personal expense in a private hotel and gave a call to yatra again in the evening around 6 PM thinking yatra could arrange alternatives for me to reach Port Blair, Mr. Deepak Pandey spoke to me and was saying he is helpless. I did not get what he means. He says he can't rearrange the trip as it scheduled and its an airline fault and also cannot reimburse. It makes no sense as the travel package is arranged by yatra. Its yatras fault for choosing spice jet. Why should end customers have to pay for the issues which yatra and spice jet have? The rule number five in yatra voucher terms and conditions say that "if we are unable to provide the booked travel arrangement's due to reasons beyond our control we shall first try to offer alternative dates for the tour if the tour hasn't already commenced." Yatra representatives used to call me every day until I book my trip with Yatra but after that the yatra support experience is completely
changed. I am still waiting for Yatra response on my query or Issues which I posted on 18th December 2014. It’s already 7 days and I haven’t got any response from Yatra related to the refund.
