Zomato — refund. honestly I feel cheated by zomato

I had ordered food form zomato on 2 nov 2018. I need a refund for it. Placed on 2nd nov at 12:45 pm. #[protected]

I wanted the food to be delivered to my officer since i was at office, but the app picked up my home address (Even though i had used the gps to pick current location, and entered my office address).

Within seconds of making pre-payment (Online). I realized that the app has picked up the wrong address. Within 60 seconds of ordering (Really within 60 seconds) i contacted zomato chat support to cancel the order and confirm that they will refund, so that i can place another order at the proper address.

I believe it was a mistake to trust zomato with my money. The chat support told me that they will not cancel the order, they will not refund and that i can cancel my order but forget about the money. Wow! Like this is theft. I was surprised that this was their response. But this was their response.

I tried to explain to zomato support that look it's only been a minute since the order. It can easily be cancelled. However they simply refused to cancel and wasted over 1 hour on the chat. And at the end of one hour zomato chat support put it on me saying that since i was not found at the address they will charge me full amount. At that point i was aghast, that not only is the zomato chat support inept at helping the customer, but they are also very sly. Like it's an open loot by zomato.

I even explained to them that i'm perfectly okay to make another order if they confirm to me that they will refund. So i eventually will pay the money to them only. I also explained that my family members also use zomato and zomato has done a lot of business with my family and me. And that this kind of behaviour by zomato will obviously lead me to stop using zomato and use swiggy and ubereats.

No matter how much i explained. It seemed that nothing seemed to matter to zomato.

I honestly thought it would be simple enough like the customer immediately notifies the zomato customer care and zomato refunds. Both parties go on their merry way having a good business relationship. Sorry to say, zomato obviously doesn't seem to see these things this way. They are happy stealing 124 rupees from me.
