Zomato — working with restaurants to deliver unhygienic food & deleting poor reviews | |||
I placed an order with Zomato for a local Subway wrap. The food was poorly packed, without any proper outside covering and exposed to touch in this hot and humid weather. Any contaminants on the delivery boys hands, and the bag he placed the food in, must have definitely been transferred to the food. When I complained they simply refunded my money, deleted my review, and changed the order status to declined. I realized Zomato has also deleted bad reviews earlier - they are making a mess of the system by keeping only paid reviews and encouraging poor standards in food safety and hygiene.
