HomeShop18 — sending wrong goods and now undue delay in refund of amount
non refunding of amount against order company failed to supply
i had done online booking for onida mobile (product code-G480) costing Rs3699/- in Nov-Dec08, by online booking the product and paying the cash on delivery of parcel by courier TNT ( DO 996 033 991 ww )on 18/12/08.
but on opening the parcel i was shocked that Homeshop18 sent me inferior mobile model G-460 costing Rs 500 less and still charging me for the ordered product. With great difficulty they agreed to collect the parcel without me having to pay the courier, as it was mistake on their part, subsiquently i again approached customer care in FEB2009 on their toll free nos to inquire why they are not sending the correct product, every time they apologised for the delay but did nothing to solve the issue. After multiple follow up they agreed that the correct product is not available and that i will receive the refund cheque of icici bank made on 4th april 09 within 7 days, and that the said cheque will be delivered by registered letter of indian post. However till date 06 may 09 i have yet to receive the refund letter, in spite of phoning them again and again.
my advice never SHOP WITH HOMESHOP18, or be prepared to pull them in consumer court to claim the refund money with interest + various phone expenses if you have the bills + legal expenses and for the mental torture thus suffered, since that is the only option the company has left for me to exercise
the various complaints registered by homeshop18 customer care are 777478 then 1020963 on 4/2/09 then 1458105 on dt 4/05/09 and may be many more to go...
