Air Mauritius — ticket issued to student with special validity & additional weight permissible | |||
Dear all We have booked an air ticket for a student from mumbai to mauritius on 29th jan 2018 (Flight no : mk0749 - 06.45 am)... I had paid special fare for student which permits 01 year validity & extra weight allowed (01 bag = 23 kg) which is equivalent to inr 48800.00.. She was not allowed to carry her luggage and was forced to only carry 23 kg + 23 kg weight... The boarding pass representative - ms. Priyanka has rudely behaved and put the student in mental harassment, where in she had to move out of airport two times to unload luggage. If the air mauritius charges additional inr 12000/- for special services of validity & weight.. Then why dont they permit the passengers, inspite of proof shown as email or student visa or documents provided at boarding pass counter. I tried to reach on mumbai airport office number mentioned on website.. But no responses or nor do they have any hotline number to attend in case of such emergency... The boarding pass staff - ms. Priyanka literally refused to listen the student request or any kind of solution... She has harassed my daughter in all terms. I wish to put forth request to consumer complaint forum, we should be compensated in terms of apology undertaking & financial aspect, where in they charged excess for services and had turned down the request. I have attached the email from air mauritius demanding special fare for student... I felt humiliated and disturbed when the staff of air mauritius at boarding pass counter dont even want to speak on phone from family members of passenger (As the passenger is student - mbbs) I need justice and compensation for loss incurred and harassment faced by my daughter..
