Airtel — improper internet services | |||||
I'm Edwin, from okkiyampet, Chennai. My AIRTEL number is [protected] Been using Airtel for a year and not FOR ONE SINGLE day has the data speed crossed 2 Mbps at any period in time even though I have full coverage, where speed quoted in ads and promos was 10mbps. Even their own my Airtel app wont load. Ookla alone shows speed of 7+ Mbps while on another tab Google won't load. Ive cross checked across various speed test apps and ookla alone shows 7+ Mbps which leads me to believe that ookla also is a sham which Airtel is using to sell lies. Other networks like idea and Vodafone work perfectly fine from my location. I had consulted Airtel customer care about the same prob on several occasions and as famous as they are for the worst customer service, they failed to resolve the issue or even provide a qualitative response. On several occasions I had to turn on and turn off airplane mode, as so brilliantly suggested by customer care executives. And Everytime I use the internet I have to keep repeating the process. It's a shame that one of the most reputed Telecom companies cannot afford to cover a prime location in Chennai with adequate speed. They are either inefficient or inconsistent or dishonest. Airtel has been selling data packs at low prices but they have cheated and lied shamelessly about the speed, for which I paid. I either demand the quoted speed to be offered or I want my money back, failing which I shall take further action and approach the consumer forum. Was this information helpful? | |||||
