[Resolved] Airtel — Invading customers privacy | |
[protected] - i bought this airtel postpaid number in delhi and i have been using it for a couple of months until i got back to my hometown (Chennai). Please note that i did not give any nominee phone number while i signed up my form because i did not have any address in delhi but since i was working for hike ltd the provider told me that wouldn't be a problem so they gathered my id proofs (Which is in my chennai's address) and i got my sim activated and everything was fine until i got back to my hometown chennai. I started losing signal on my phone frequently and kept on complaining about it but airtel did not respond properly. And eventually my sim had gone to 'no service' mode. And i was busy launching my own firm so i thought if someone from airtel shows up at my doorstep then i can pay the bill. But after a month i started using my brother's phone number for the time being. And one day the contacts that i have called from my delhi sim ([protected]), they started getting calls and airtel support people (Neha) lied to them that i have gave their number as nominee and tried to reach me to my new number instead of showing at up my door step. I started receiving msgs from my contacts (Around 10 of them) through my facebook saying they received the same call saying i gave their numbers as nominee. Finally they even called my mother and got the temporary number (Not registered under my name). They got that number and reached me. I asked them who the hell gave them authorization to access my call logs and that's all. They couldn't not answer about it at all and ms. Neha confessed that she accessed my call logs and apologised for it. I asked her to transfer the call to her manager and that guy (Forgot his name) promised me that i don't have to pay any bills or no one from airtel would call me until he investigates this issue and get back to me within a day. And its been 1 month since he said that and i get calls everyday from their support team asking me to pay the bill. I explain each of those people everyday for an hour and everyone would say 'we'll get back to you' and then they'll disappear and next person would call. This kept on happening and i lost patience and i complained via twitter. And this genius mr. Shashanth ([protected]) called me and listened to the whole story again and i asked him for his name n phone number. And he said no one will call me until he investigates this issue and its been a week and again i started receiving calls from airtel then i tried to reach mr. Shashanth and that punk is ignoring my calls & i have been trying to reach him for the past 4 days. They invaded their customer's privacy by accessing my call logs and they can't even give a proper explanation but they have the gut to ask me to pay the bill and its my job to explain these everyday? Airtel — can't login in adls router.
About a month wifi password is not changing and it was used by some other users.
