Akai Televisions Purchased through Amazon sold by DS Cloudtail India Pvt Ltd & Marketed By Hometech Digital Pvt Ltd. — Counterfeit AKAI TV sets are being sold by certain dealers, No after sales support
I purchased a 43" Fire TV Edition Full HD Smart LED TV AKLT43S-DFS6T Black 2020 Model through Amazon sold by DS Cloudtail India Pvt Ltd259Q1ZH, TCI Warehouse, Unit 1, SF No. 496/A, 497, Mopperipalayam, Village, Post- kaduvettipalayam, Karumathampatti, Palladam Taluk, Coimbatore, TN- 641659, PAN No. AAQCS4259Q, GST Regn No. 33AAQCS4 & Marketed By Hometech Digital Pvt Ltd vide Invoice No. IN-SCJB-139958 dated 22 Mar 2022 and the item was delivered at my place around a week time. The installation was supposed to be completed by the OEM/Supplier within 48 hours of delivery but to my dismay the OEM/ Supplier never bothered to install the product and after a month of ordeal they requested me to take the help of local technician for installation and the product was installed somewhere in May 2021. This lackadaisical attitude of the supplier was also communicated to Amazon through email time and again. In this connection, you may verify my mail addressed to [protected]@amazon.com dated 23 Mar 2021 till 29 Apr 2021.
Unfortunately, the TV stopped working exactly after a year plus few days. It was during 17th of May the display of the Television had been off thus forcing me to search for the customer care numbers provided on the warranty book let as well as Akai Website. To my astonishment, none of the numbers provided on the warranty booklet including the website address of the Akai are functioning/ not responding to calls/ non existent. The picture was appearing on the top of the Screen and below half was having horizontal lines. Finally, somehow I got in touch with their executive at AKAI and obtained a complaint no. PA[protected] on 21 May 2022 and after that so many executives called me from different nos. On 23 May 2022 someone from UNIQPLUS operating under UNIQARE (GST. 32AKIPS06222C1ZP) reached my house on 30 May 2022 and diagnosed as Panel Complaint and provided a receipt vide no A1976 by paying Rs 650/- service charge.

The service centre told me after feeding my TV model no. in their system that the TV is having 1+2 years of warranty and the product will be replaced within a week as was communicated by their source. I have the screen shot exchanges between the AKAI service 24x7 and the local service centre. The service centre told me that they forwarded a request for replacement of Panel and expected within a week as the panel will be covered in the warranty for two years. Further, he told that he cannot assure anything about the TV as the spares are provided by OEM otherwise, I need to throw it out. Now whenever I contact the service centre they asked to contact OEM/ their Manager in Chennai ( Mr Karthik- [protected]) and OEM in turn asks me to contact Amazon like this they keep on ping ponging me among themselves. The TV is laying like a white elephant for the past almost one month in my house and I am fed up of complaining daily to the above named people. Now the OEM says they provide only standard warranty of 1 year and Amazon has to provide further service whereas, amazon is asking a denial letter from the OEM so that they could provide the service, the local service centre says from their past experiences that AKAI (OEM) does not send the panel at all. I am the only sufferer in this case. I even spoke to AKAI Chennai Manager Mr Karthik but also of no use. It may please be noted that there were innumerable complaints pending at the online complaint platform of various customer sites and that itself is the solid proof that the company is a fly by night operator or selling counterfeit products with the help of some local technicians.

I am really taken aback by the irresponsible attitude of these people. This is purely a criminal act in which I feel a lot of hands are involved and in the process lakhs of gullible customers are getting duped and the customers are losing so much of money besides undergoing unwanted harassment also. Kindly suggest how to go about to claim my right and to bring the offenders to the books. What action should I take against the Dealer who is said to be involved in selling this type of bad / counterfeit TV sets and other contraband over the last many years duping several customers?

An immediate action in this regard will be highly appreciated.

A solution has to be found by Amazon immediately and can’t take the customers for granted. This is purely a criminal act in which I feel a lot of hands are involved and in the process lakhs of gullible customers are getting duped and the customers are losing so much of money besides undergoing unwanted harassment also. Kindly suggest how to go about to claim my right and to bring the offenders to the books.     This is again cheating the consumer. I think legal action to be initiated against the company.

      I Shyama Bose, stay in Durgapur, West Bengal, Address: 19/8 Ashoke Avenue, Durgapur-713204. My 65 inch Smart TV, AKAI (under warranty) panel is not working properly. I made complain immediately in April 14th (likely) and they attended the call from the Durgapur Service Centre. Then wrongly the call was cancelled on 15th and again the call was re-registered by the service centre. Thereafter as per their provision they took Rs.900/- for delivery of the new panel to replace the defective one. it was 17th April 2022. But till date the status remains the same. I contacted their Kolkata Counterpart Sri Santosh Jha but the issue has not been solved yet. Today itself I contacted the Durgapur Service and they informed that the new panel sent for replacement is broken and said that this is for the second time which was not informed to me. They keep on giving the same excuse and time is passing on. Already close to 2 months

      A mail has been received with information that is old. Nothing has been done yet. It is going to cross 2 months within few days after the complain was lodged

          I ordered a tv (AKAI 108 cm (43 Inches)LED TVAKLT43S-DFS6T (Black)2020 Model) Fire TV Edition Full HD Smart
          on 6th april 2021 on amazon.in( order no:[protected].Amazon delivered this tv to me on 8th April 2021.

          Now on 7th april I saw a white line in the bottom line of tv pannel, then I registered a complain on akai tv
          customer service on 8th april 2022.they told me this problem will resolve within 24 hours.I had wait 48 hours,
          but nothing resolved.then I again called to akai customer service on 10th april 2022, 12th april 2022, 14th
          april2022, then one person came to my home and click some picture of my tv, then I whatsup him amazon invoice
          and amazon worrenty invoice.After that I called many time to akai customer service, but no result . then I decide
          to got to consumer forum . please resolve my problem .

            I have purchased a window of ekai which is still under watanay service i have complained more than 8 times but still no response yet once technician came so he miss behwe badly and take extra charge
            I want to tell you that this problem is not only with the people, it is also happening with the people Miss Behave and takes extra charge and says where you have to complain, someone new will listen to you.
            I want to request you to take legal action, Nagendra is the name that one sees in Azamgarh, may have complained in many places but got only response from somewhere, now stay together, hope I will do something good, I will convey my word to the company, I am upset till my aircondition not in working condition

              I purchase AKAI Smart LED Fire TV, model 4KLT43S-DFS6T on 8th August, 2021. It is 28th March, 2022 now and the TV screen is showing a band of flickering pixels at the bottom. There are white, red, and blue lines appearing on the screen plus, there are two corners (top left and bottom right) that are becoming white.

              I called Akai customer care number and they denied service stating that you have to contact Amazon because that is where you purchased it from. I raised a complaint with Amazon but no reply so far except for a confirmation email that the service request has been raised.

              This is giving be bad feeling and if AKAI or AMAZON denies a full replacement or a full refund, I am going to drag them to consumer court and make them pay. This is horrible that AKAI and AMAZON don't respond to customer complaints properly. These brands need to be banned or charged with hefty fines. Only then they will come to their senses.

                Very Disappointed as i raised my issue about a week back
                Why should i pay if the same problem existing,
                On 17th of December when your engineer visited That time he told me that its need only cleaning after this problem will not happen again..Now just after 15 days i am facing same issue.
                On 2 Jan 2022, So wht its mean as its just 2 days of end of my warranty period.
                So is it intentionally did at your end to just delay the time & days to wait to make it out of warranty.
                If you dnt want to process it or rectify the problem.
                Also Everytime i approach nobody replying about the issue even they dnt care about sales after service.
                Finally the consumer only have single option left to raise the poor sales after service of akai on each & every online Social media platform.

                            Hi,

                            I was raised the complaint before 12 days but still complaint not resolved.

                            Ganesh Yadav from Panvel branch, Navi Mumbai knows the problem and he was said will resolve same within 15 days but now I am trying to call him from last 4 days he is not picking up the call or even not giving call back.

                            Akai is giving the very pathetic service whose employee don't have the courtesy call back the customer and resolve the query.

                            Akai team try to serve better service to customer so that in future we can refer to others to buy Akai product, by my current experience i will never refer to Akai product.

                            Very Urgent :Complaint Number MH[protected] not resolved

                            Hi,

                            I was raised the complaint before 12 days but still complaint not resolved.

                            Ganesh Yadav from Panvel branch, Navi Mumbai knows the problem and he was said will resolve same within 15 days but now I am trying to call him from last 4 days he is not picking up the call or even not giving call back.

                            Akai is giving the very pathetic service whose employee don't have the courtesy call back the customer and resolve the query.

                            Akai team try to serve better service to customer so that in future we can refer to others to buy Akai product, by my current experience i will never refer to Akai product.

                            Even after 1 month Akai team not able to resolve the complaint after regular follow up, I am extremely disappointed with Akai Service and expect replace the TV at the earliest.

                            You guys are not giving replacement free of cost then why there is delay.

                            Try to improve your pathetic service.

                            As discussed with Tarun Maheswari in Panvel branch, Now I don't want TV replacement.

                            From last one month Akai team is just saying after 4 - 5 days will get the replacement but still i have not received the TV so now there is no sense of TV replacement.

                            @Consumer complaint team please look every complaint carefully so that customer will not suffer.

                              Hi Team,

                              I bought Akai 43 inch smart fire TV along with voice commend from amazon in Dec'20, now its remote got damaged, its right navigation key is not working. I complaint about the same to the Amazon but they simply denied to address my request as product is in still warranty. amazon is telling this product belongs to AKAI manufacture, hence any damage and repair would be taken care by AKAI only. when i contacted AKAI customer service via phone they told me that i have purchase this product from amazon, hence amazon would be responsible for its warranty. i am just been a football between AKAI and amazon. not sure now where i need to go to get this fixed. Aaki is a very well-known brand and AKI would address my issue.

                                      not working properly. Disturb whole day and night all time sound like tik tik tik tik tik tik so highly sound.
                                      Since install i was complaint dealer. Ge also not respond.

                                        We purchase an Air Conditioner (AKAI, Model/Year : AKSI-183FQT/2019) through GeM (Government e Market Place). GeM order Date : 18.11.2019, GeM Invoice Date : 19.11.2019. Item Delivery Date : 01.12.2019. After receive the item we call AKAI authorized service provider nearest to me and installed the A/C. Then they switch on the machine it works only 5 minutes and then shows error 'E0'. And then we a complaint through AKAI online complaint portal from the below given name, address and mobile number.

                                        After 10 or 11 months a technician came to our office with a new board of AKAI A/C and install this to the machine. But this also can not work. They told us to, they will come later to replace the same. Until they did not come.
                                        Take necessary action to rectify the complaint of this A/C at the earliest. Other wise we take legal action against the company and the dealer.
                                        The photos of the machine SL. Number, Model No., Barcode and other details are attached herewith.
