Mr. Surendra Kumar Surana (M/68) had an appointment with Dr. P.K.Pooviah at AMRI CLINIC (Southern Avenue, Kolkata) at 8:45am.
On arrival at the clinic we found out that apart from the billing counter, all the other necessary and basic required for attending any patient inside a doctor's chamber were missing for which the doctor himself was searching and looking for here and there. Even a sister for attending the patients was found missing on the 4th floor when all the patients along with their attendants were waiting.
The lady on the cash counter kept calling continuously at the main reception desk on the 1st floor but there was no response.
Finally we took the initiative to approach the main reception desk upon which the representatives took up the matter seriously and made necessary arrangements.
Kindly note that any patient approaching a hospital with or without appointment needs immediate medical attention or advice without being made to wait. The basic medical arrangements should be spot on especially today where we were given a prior appointment from the hospital itself.
Kindly look into the matter and do the needful so that the doctors and the patients donot have to wait and suffer as we had to.

    There was a cag carried out of my mother at AMRI Mukundapur, on dated-28/10/20.
    I went for cashless hospitalization of amounting 15000/.

    Firstly Rs- 10000/ was approved by insurance company,
    Due to delay of approval I had to pay rest from my end to discharge the patient.
    After being discharged at night we got second approval of Rs- 5000/.

    I informed to the the Insurance company. They disclosed that Rs-15000/ has already been settled and sent to the hospital.

    I have requested to the hospital to refund the extra amount which one I paid,

    But no body gave any heed of my word.
    I have already talked to the concern person of Medi assist, He disclosed that matter has been conveyed to the hospital team to refund the extra amount.
    I am waiting for your response.

      Dear amri tpa team,

      Re: patient name: mr. Govinda behera
      Patient id: am40169885

      I am writing as son of the deceased patient, complaining about final bill settlement.
      After repeated requests and initiated mails from fhpl team to provide the final bill settlement of the deceased patient, your team has not produced with any such bills yet.
      Its been more than 5 months to crossby, i have been unable to reach an amicable settlement with the insurance company due the delayed negligence from the hospital.
      The claim amount is more then 5 lakhs and patient was also discharged on 25th march with full settlement on same day. So, requesting you kindly solve as soon as possible.
      If not solve the issue on immediate basis then i will file a consumer case against concern team.

          delay of blood culture report

          My father admitted on 31st January, 2020 with liver abscess under Dr. Sudipto Ghosh(Gastro). Liver aspiration process was done on 1st February, 2020 and the fluid was sent for Rapid Blood / Body Fluid Culture test. I supposed to receive that report on 6th February, 2020. But when I went to collect the report on 12th February, 2020 as I had an appointment with Dr. Sudipto Ghosh(Gastro), I asked to wait for 30minutes. The report was not ready....

          Amri hospital has been one stop solution for my family since last 2 years. My family went for surgery and regular check up several times. Our experience was very good until today. But perception changed today by a doctor today. My father consulting dr. Sushanta mohanty (Dermatologist) from last 2 weeks. After taking his medication my dad had bad reaction and he went to see dr sushanta. The way dr treated him is very unprofessional. Here are the few words what dr reacted for a medicine reaction.

          * if you are getting secure headache after using medication. You can go and see neurologist.

          * i don’t know why you are getting those rashes after taking these medication. If you want you can stop them.

          * nothing wrong with my prescription i don’t know why you are getting rashes and headache.

          Is this the right way to treat patients? Dr sushanta doesn’t know the basics ethics how to treat or talk to people. I request management to look this matter seriously and help other patients in future

            Our patient got admitted to amri hospital on 20th september for regular fever, as he was an ex-employee of indian railway, br singh hospital referred him to amri. It was said by br singh hospital that all reports are ok and they didn't find any clue of regular fever, although there was a very prominent clue of 1st stage of kydney failure. (High albumin creatinine ratio). We got the report from br singh on 19th september 2019, while doctor said that all reports are ok, we found that there are multiple cases including kidney report was not ok.
            However, when the patient was admitted under dr. Indranil sinha roy the condition of patient was good, only the problem was regular fever and fall of haemoglobin. After 3 weeks of thorough testing (Including pet ct scan, all cancer related testing) they said, 2 vegetations were found in valves of heart.in the meantime the kidney condition become worse, though they said kidney will not be a problem, the main problem are the vegetation. Three weeks after they said 1 vegetation is recovered and the patient need 2 types of antibiotic daily to recover from it. The kidney condition become worst now, they said it's very tough to recover kidney, the patient may need dialysis. All of a sudden, the patient started behaving abnormally, doctor said it's due to kidney failure and it is called urenal psychosis. Then they started dyalisis, and after 5/6 times the patient was no more in the condition to take all those heavy antibiotics. Our patient take last breathe on 7th november.

            We have several questions on this mistreated case:

            1: we came to know that the plenty of neuro medicines was given to patient. Why?
            2: why treatment of kidney not happened throughout the treatment (Except last few days)?
            3: why amri return the patient to br singh hospital in the worst condition? Without any oxyzen mask even in breathing problem?
            4: dr indranil sinha roy constantly misguiding us with other issues apart from kidney, we came to know maximum of the patient faced same type of treatment under indranil sinha roy.

            We need these answers, this is an high example of carelessness, mistreatment and medical business policy. We will go to the highest extent regarding this and therefore we are going to complain against this to the consumer forum. Hope this matter will be taken with highest level of seriousness.

            Also we will mail the same to the amri hospital and br singh hospital. Please look into this, hope we will get a reply back and help others to refrain from taking treatment from this hospital.

              I have taken Dr Prathama Chowdhary appointment at AMRI saltlake Hospital.They have called me to 6.30 and kept me waiting for an hour..after an hour when i asked they said that you have to wait as your hour an hour more.
              After little bit of shouting they allowed me immediately to visit the doctor and the doctor as a formality she has herd a few things and prescribed the medicine without hearing my genuine problem.PATIENT ASKED THE DOCTOR PERSONALLY TO TALK BUT THE DOCTOR REFUSED TO LISTEN BY SAYING ITS A LONG QUE OUTSIDE.. and asked me to visit again after seven days at Nidan clinic(Phoolbagan)

              AMRI is not responding and taking actions against dr prathama chaudhary..they are playing with the patients life and busy with earning money..they have charged 950 as a consultation fee and not responding without any care an concern

                My father N C Das( patient id AM30011000, Bed no 2435) was admitted to AMRI hospital Mukundapur Kolkata on 02-OCT-2019 12:10:00 and was discharged on 07-OCT-2019 12:10:00. The TPA team didn't send incorrectly Formatted billing documents to the Insurance team, leading to the Insurance team asking for properly formatted bill documents by 4.30 PM, The TPA team didn't work on the billing documents and send the revised formatted bill to insurance team by 8.00PM. This lead to insurance team office getting closed and the patient could not be discharged. This is totally lack of Negligence and criminal offence from the hospital as they are trying to bill us for Another 2 days for a patient who is already discharged.                   I am hospitalized Amri Hospital 3times for Kidney stone under Dr. B Shiva Shankar. I have been taken 4times to OT theatre and claimed huge bill from Mediclaim about to Rs.179012 but still I am not cure. After that again I revisit and give 2no test and some pain killer. I am suffering huge pain and to stop it I am taking pain killer injection. Dr told me again to test but didn't give me any medicine. Really very pathetic performance from Dr and also from nursing home. This nursing home present only to take money not have proper service.
                  Now I came Chennai to check and feeling better

                    I would like to share my experience with dr. Biptab ghosh, first a fall please tech him how to talk with patients and share the feedback about rude and sarcasm. He didn't allow me to speak in briefly and continuously speaking in bengali however i don't know bengali properly.

                    I never recommend this dr to any one.

                    Please some action on it. As i feel i am wested my 750/-

                      I am writing in order to inform that "miss kasturi dey" at the billing counter of the usg section of amri, saltlake, is extemely ill mannered and doesnot know how to behave.
                      My father came in fir a mri, he is 68yrs of age, is waiting for 3.5 hrs for the procedure owing to some prerequisites, being a layman i was not aware enough on the method.. I followed up with miss dey 2-3 times, not only was she irritated but when i said you are 21yrs and had your lunch on time so imagine an aged person dint had anything from the morning, could you please expedite the process. Instead of being emphatithic she was so blatant and curt in her reply, stating if you cant wait, test results wont come fine.
                      I ask the management, we are already worried about the condition of our patients, are these behaviour really necessary. When i said her this she said you want to complain, and she handed me over a piece of paper laughing all the way. Like really, such audacity, because they know no action will be taken nor a warning will be given to them and they are allowed to behave like that.
                      We are coming to amri, 5yrs straight now but this is the first time we are mishandled like this. Hoping to get an update on this incident from the management of amri.

                        My dad went for a ct angio in mri salt lake on 22nd august.
                        When they took him in, he was given a double dose of betaloc due to which his heart rate started fluctuating from 25-35. Following which he was admitted to the emergency ward after which he was kept under observation for 24 hours. On 23rd august, they finally conducted the test and discharged. The total bill amount was 35 thousand rupees. The normal rate for the angio test was 10 thousand rupees; but we were charged 22 thousand for the test itself. This is unjust and illegal.

                          Sir,
                          Kindly refer my bill no-bhipbl/10075303 dt.26.07.2019 patient id-am40138205 where in an amount of 2300.00 has been charged towards resuscitation procedure for my new born baby on dt.24.07.2019. I am eligible to get cghs rate. As per cghs nabh rate serial number 517 the rate for above procedure is 212.00. An excess amount of rs.2088.00 has been charged by your hospital. Further no report has been given i. R. T the said procedure.
                          In addition to above rs 500.00 on dt.24.07.19 and rs.500.00 on 25.07.2019 has been charged towards nursery under head bed charge. But as per cghs list serial no - 514 the rate is 214.00 per day. Hence an amount of rs.572.00 has been excess charged.
                          Therefore kindly look into the matter for early settlement of my issue.

                            Worst behaviour of the doctor's assistant outside the doctor's room. And indirect insults by the doctor without any reason just for supporting that assistant. And unmaintained reports and documents. Even if you ask anything to enquire they are not ready to help you out imstead they use to insult to the patoent and patient's attandent. Even just to delever a report they took half hours to search and find out the report and that also there was no other patient at that time standing on the que.
                            Very disappointed & will never visit again. They should apologize for their miss behavior. Hope the superior authority will look after the situation and do the needfull. As your hospital is a very reputeted hospital so i hope you will do the needfull. Thanking you

                              Sir i have religare health insurance, my 12 years daughter admitted at amri hospital, bhubaneswar, with severe abdominal pain, which was diagnosed as pancreatitis, but when they send the detail report to insurance company for claim, they have written that father has pancreatitis 20 years before, but i never had any such type of pancreas complain, how come such a irresponsible thing can be done by this amri hospital? Now the insurance company declining my claim basing on this wrong & false information.

                                Doctor advice that patients round on wheelchair in flower 2time in day on visiting time.
                                But today your staff is not arrange a wheelchair and told that chair not available, so my father is filling weakness

                                  My mother admitted in AMRI saltlake under Dr. JB Chohdhury for Knee replacement, 7th floor bed No 790. Immediate next to her bed 789 there was a female patient Sujata sen Sarkar under Dr S Bandyopadhyay . every patient was talking about her diagnosis of Swain Flu and nurses wering mask but surprisingly not patients, it is disgusting that how you people kept her knowing its a contiguous sickness. I complained to floor manager and she ignored it saying we suspected then i asked her report is positive or negative ? she replied test will take time... this is how AMRi a reputable hospital treating there patient making porne to risk ??? even she left now what will hapeen if god forbid my mother fell ill after discharge ???
                                  who will take the responsibility ?? if its not properly answered will contact higher authority

                                    Patient i'd am10088267 bed no 1424 appointment for pet ct scan 12noon 22/01/19.. Patient from ward shifted to pet ct room around 12-15am scan completed around 3:00 pm. Repeated request for shifting to ward was made by me because patient is in fasting since morning but nobody listened till 4:28pm. Rather they denied their responsibility of shifting to ward. The undersigned immediately lodged complaint at helpdesk seeing kind of services rendered by the institute. Please improve services to critical patient and own responsibility.                                       The department wherein the tests are done in amri saltlake for master health checkup is really bad. The receptionist is not cooperative and did not tell me when to collect report and hang up the phone. They are not helpful at all. Very poor service. My company is already made the payment to amri but still they are not cooperating when i am supposed to collect the report. Her behaviour is also very bad.

                                      I have given a blood sample for hba1 c test on 06/06/19. I had already given my mail ID to dispatch section to give my report on my mail.but they have not given.i am staying too far from the hospital.i want my report.
