I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Casio India and its authorized service center, Sapphire Electronics, Mayur Vihar, New Delhi, regarding the unwarranted delay and negligence in repairing my Casio keyboard (Model Number: KS47A CT-S200RD, Serial Number: 876cAC[protected], which is still under warranty. I purchased this g shock watch about 4 years back and it needed battery replacement after 4 years of fine working. The battery was replaced at m/s capital electronics (Authorized service center) in july 2018. After replacing the battery the watch started giving following problem which was not there earlier-
1. When the back plate is pressed while wearing the watch power turns off and on.
2. Fogging due to moisture ingress during humid season
The watch was given back to m/s capital electronics in dec 2018. (Could not give earlier due to lack of time). M/s capital electronics was unable to repair the same and wanted to change the whole mechanism on chargeable basis amounting to rs 3000.00. I contacted casio japan and they directed me to casio new delhi. It seems the watch was sent to new delhi for inspection and they were also unable to repair it and wanted to change the whole mechanism at chargeable basis. I believe since the the problem started because of incompetent handling by casio service center during battery replacement, the onus lies on casio to give it back in good condition. I declined casio's offer to purchase a new watch at discounted price. I would suggest every one to be aware of this before deciding to purchase any casio product.
