My daughter and wife booked fastrack taxi from chennai airport tonight about 9.30 pm to chotupakkam. They collected 2750 from them. But they didn't give any booking bill showing vehicle number etc. Why such irregularities are allowed in airport premises. Who is responsible for this no other than the airport authority. So please look into it. Remove such service provider from airport premises.
Please provide Tamil Language in Airport so that the Local people can understand what they are saying about. As many of the people travelling from chennai airport are very familiar with Tamil language rather than other languages like Hindi and English, Please display the informations in Tamil.

    Am a frequent flyer. Have seen almost all airports in india. But have never seen this type of long lines for security check except at chennai.in early mrning hours alwys one need to stand for minimum 40 minutes for security check. Senior citizens standing with great difficulty. Am a witness to this type of ordeal. Have seen passengers missing the flight and fighting with the airline officials. Why airport authorities are not taking any necessive measures to avoid long ques. This is second or third time am registering my complaint. Will authorities do good...

    i am so frustrated by chennai airport, just try to fly from cochin. they are doing very good service. you can save time, money and energy there.

      Greetings!

      Further to the telecom had with mr. Mahendran today morning, this is to register my complaint regarding above subject.

      Please do monitor the parking or dropoff of people by taxi near the terminals.

      Today morning i entered airport at 6.16.26 am and dropped my friend at t-4 gate 1.

      When i returned to head out, there was a i20 grey coloured car parked in front of mine with py registration (Private) and a taxi pulled to my left and was dropping of people and luggage.

      This made me blocked and ultimately my exit time was 6.26.44am.

      I informed the above at exit but the person in the booth didn't respond properly and was demanding only the money.

      I asked for their supervisor but a guy turned up without an id and stood in front of my car as if i was doing some crime. I very clearly said them i'll pull to the side and you can call the supervisor for discussion but they made a fuss and also caused trouble to the fellow cars waiting behind in the same lane (X-13)

      After few minutes the supervisor, mr. Mahesh came by and demanded that i pay and register a complaint with aai, chennai with the receipt.

      As said earlier i tried discussing the same with mr. Mahendran over phone, who advised me to write a mail.

      I just request to look into the fact of people being charged rs.150 for 20secs because of improper supervision or monitoring near the terminal. It looks really bad on your part.

      Be it small or big money has value and hard earned money is not easy to be given for such non-sense.

      Improve your system of operation and if possible i request you a refund from your contractor.

        Jann 22nd 2018, 3 pm. There a always a huge queue at the baggage and security check and the personal there allows 2paasengers to cut queue and put suitcase and 2 trust at the x-ray machine. Passengers have to wait almost 10 mins for their hand baggage to arrive and these people just allow people to cut across queue. The security personal cannot understand or speak english.
        i am so frustrated by chennai airport, just try to fly from cochin. they are doing very good service. you can save time, money and energy there.

          On[protected] at 3:02 p. M. I placed an order for special veg tali with order no. K00800760 the name of the cashier is guna shekar. S. For which they collected rs.342.86 ps/- besides that water bottle was also purchased at the cost of rs. 38.10 ps/- both the items put together i need to pay an amount of rs. 400/- which is a costliest lunch on tasteless food items, when i searched for hand wash no such facility was not available there for which we need to take a five minutes walk that too at rest room only likewise, even after completion of lunch for wash again at the same place. It is not the responsibility of the contractor of the canteen to provide needs to the customers and at the same time is it not the accountability of the airport authorities to see whether the contractor is capable of providing the needs to the customers. You are hereby further informed on the same day i lodged a complaint in the register of the travel food services chennai private limited under sheet no. 1008 with further feedback on the serial no. 90263.

          Therefore, you are hereby requested to look into the issue and do needful for the convenience of the customers/passengers including the reasonable collectable amount not like rs. 360/-. Hence, this complaint.

                On 1st october 2017 at 21.02 p. M, i went to airport in my own car to pick up my relative who was waiting outside the arrival gate. As the plane had touched more than 20 minutes earlier, there was not many people outside arrival gate. So i picked up my relative without any delay and proceeded to exit gate, probably within 3 minutes of my entering the airport.

                However, there was huge crowd near the exit gate, with all vehicles standing in haphazard manner. There was total confusion, with every vehicle trying to go out. There was no one to control the vehicles or to restore order. Consequently, i was held up there for over 10 minutes. Not only me, but everyone there. There was no chance of any vehicle exiting in less than 10 minutes. So i was charged rs.150 being the parking fee. I am sure that the contractor would have charged this fee to everyone and made a killing on that day, for neither our fault nor his extra service. You can look in to records of his collection on that evening and satisfy yourself.

                As you would appreciate delayed charges are meant to avoid vehicles gathering near the arrival/departure gate. However, in this case no vehicle was there near those points and all vehicles were crowded near the exit gate.in the circumstances, penalising the vehicle owners and allowing the contractor to enrich himself is highly objectionable. I therefore request you to look into the matter and arrange for refund of the amount and also ensure that such things do not happen in future.

                I reached the toll 7 min instead of 10 mins due to scan machine issue time crossed 10 min.For that they tole me to pay Rs.150.I spoked with the drunken a raged toll manager he is not ready to accept their issue.I paid the amount they asked after that also they try to lock my car without my notice.Kindly change the Toll contract or drunken manager.

                  Today 6.1.2017 I loss my job in Singapore because of your staff and airport not functioning in right manner, no system nothing there. Check in are closing as per the staff wishes 1 hour 15 min before . After that 're book have to go domestic side or to meet manager also, how come no person available there and no counter inside international to buy tickets or online booking facilities, even the staff cannot do anything. In Tamil nadu airport no tamilan working inside, why situation is like this, do u want us to make strike on your airport . All Indian airlines are worst in service and not customer friendly .if they couldn't guide me what to do next and should help me to booking airline ticket but no one, whole family depends on me financially but now, for airport authority should answer .

                      Unable to upload snaps due to huge file size

                      Dear Sir / Madam
                      I would like to bring your attention in Shameful incident happened in the exit of Chennai airport parking by your Toolgate person along with his support staff.
                      I entered from Chennai airport parking E5 gate at 21:08 and exit from X5 gate at 21:24 total ellapse time is 16 minutes . I was aware that only 10 Mins is free. Pl refer the parking slip.
                      Toll gate person was asking me to pay Rs 150 as it is more than 10 Mins (at that time is was 13 Mins). I requested him that it is just only 6 mins gone and also I have not parked my vehicle just entered to pick guest and exiting. But the toll gate person did not agreed and saying that this is a rule. And started having discussion for around 2 Mins. This was a well mannered discussion between myself and X5 Tollgate person and I understood that this is the process and I agreed to pay. Suddenly another person (see snap) came in between and locked my Car Front Wheel (Snap attached.) saying that you have wasted my time and said I can do anything and locked my front wheel and left away with the keys.
                      I was agreed to pay before locking the wheel. X5 Toll gate person (Snap attached) saw all those and keeps silent. Meanwhile I paid the Parking charges Rs. 150.00. Still person was not available. After requesting with tool gate person the person came back after 5 mins and unlocked the vehicle saying that I can even lock your vehicle overnight. My self and my Guest was shocked to see this king of behavior by airport parking person (Pl see the snap shot attached)
                      I feel this is a shameful incident in airport authority premises after paying the parking charges. These kind of incident will spoil your reputation, if you don’t take any action.

                        On Sept. 15, 2016 I went to the Chennai Airport to receive my parents
                        and I reached the exit gate within 10 minutes and was in the Q. When I
                        reached the counter it was 0:10:4...shot 10 minutes by 4 SECONDS, that too
                        waiting at the Q at the counter. It was a futile exercise explaining the
                        situation to the official at the exit counter. Finally we were forced to pay
                        Rs.150- vide receipt no. 201250/vehicle no.6359, which I think is an unjustified collection.

                        Please review this and arrange to refund the unjustified collection.

                          This complaint is against Garuda Aviation Services Pvt Ltd who maintain parking services at chennai airport.I took my car to drop my cousin to the domestic airport on 8.5.2016. Firstly i had to find space to put my car and again there was no trolly available near the gate so had to walk for 2 minutes to get a trolly and then while coming to the exit point with my car there was heavy traffic jam and upon that some uncivilised people were not maintaing the que and it was really difficult to get to the exit toll gate. i was billed because i had spent 47 seconds extra at the airport ! have attached receipt here.This was clear fraud and cheating the poor public. Inspite of my explanation to the toll collector that there is traffic at the exit gate and i spent almost 3 minutes in the jam she did not listen to me and said i can go and complain to whomsoever i want. since my sister and her child was with me in my car i couldnt go searching for the place to complaint at night. i had to pay them rs.150 vide receipt no.181883. please help me get my rs.150 from these fraud people. as it is my hard earned money.

                            Dear All, i had recently visited India and while i was in the Chennai Airport on 16Aug15 morning, i noticed each and every staff of yours are very rude and unprofessional. I feel that as a paying customer i do not wish to be spending money to get such a bad service. Your security services calls people 'heh hello' instead of 'excuse me Sir, your immigrant officer was scolding some people in the queue because their flight is geting late by telling them to come early in future etc, when its your check-in officers who are so slow. And she was refusing to open the elastic barrier for them to cross to another counter for checking in by telling them its not her job to open the barier (she is an elderly woman wearing saree with a bulging tummy), i do not know her name because you are not practising wearing visible name tags. Then another women officer wearing pants came and talked rudely by telling some guys to queue prperly if not she will send to the start of the queue (she is relatively young and wore glass). Then i think you have their supervisor sitting in the office smiling and joking around with the staffs. I clearly feel that all your staff are not employed through merits and have a poor educational upbringing or either your management is not strict in discipling them. Non of the staff are concerned about making the airport's image admirable but rather its seems they are interested in showing their power without realizing how silly they look eventually in the eyes of the world.

                              Chennai airport has become very worst airport in India because all the Night club dancers ( Girls) are going through Chennai airport only.. They all are going for illegal work in other country, Especially UAE, Singapore, and Muscat.. As per indian rule it is illegal. So people are paying some amount to the Immigration People and get it done.. Normally dance bar owners are paying 15000Rs - 25000Rs for a girl. They prefer to travel Indian flights only like Air India and Indian Airlines. So please try to stop by sending girls to abroad. It will effect for our country also. The same thing is happening in Delhi also. The famous airports are Delhi and Chennai for pushing(illegal immigration process). Even Bangalore, Cochin airport people are doing the same but not like Delhi and Chennai. Girls are showing the fake visit visa or some other fake visa in Indian Immigration as per their agents instruction. After immigration they will throw the fake visa in toilet and once they arrive their destination they will show their original visa. Here they will hide their original visa.. In the bar night time they have to dance on the floor, day time they have to treat customers by phone. In between they have to go out with customers also. for that customer will be paying a big amount to bar owner. Why should we send ours sisters to do prostitution job ? Please take any action to stop this in very soon time. Even Bangladesh and Philipines have stopped sending the girls abroad for these kind f work. They will contact the country embassy before sending them. About 7 Months back there was a issue in Mumbai, Police arrested some agents in Mumbai. It was published on news paper and all. In Delhi and Chennai it is a like secret job but every one knows about it. In India itself stopped the dance bar. Then why do we want to send the girls outside the country to do the same work.. Here Govt. knows that it is a illegal work so they have stopped the dance bar / Night club in our country. The same way Please stop sending the girls to abroad also. We should stop this as soon as possible. Its all true. Even i have good information abut the agents and bar owners list. Please kindly take any action immediately. Thanks

                                Dear Sir, Myself Balaji KP, I am working in Dubai, I cam to Chennai with my family (wife & 2 kids 3yrs&1yr) on vacation leave on 09th June by EK544 8.30am, its landed sharply on time even there was a poor weather condition. When we reach to the baggage carousel I found my baggage's also quickly, then i was looking for the trolley i realized that there is no enough trolleys inside the carousel area, also i saw many people are at the same situation with the arrived baggage's without trolleys. I went to a policeman who is collecting the immigration slips, and ask him about the situation of the trolleys. He told me somebody will bring and please wait. But I saw some people with the white and white uniforms with the ID's strap on their neck looks like staff, bringing the trolleys in 2 or three pieces and they are serving the passengers who are paying for them it seems. Timing is running more than 30 minutes, my wife need to feed my 1yr kid she is hungry, its almost more than 9am. Then I check with the custom officer he also throw me hopeless answer. Also some foreign nationalities waiting for the trolleys to arrive. I checked with my father in law who is waiting outside for us, he says there is lots of trolleys outside nobody picking so far when all the airport staff they know lot of passengers waiting for the trolleys. But still some staff bringing the trolleys in 2 or 3. I request the policeman I will go out and pick some trolleys from outside, he told ok, when go near to the arrival door, the central security staff not allowing outside to bring the trolleys ourselves, but some passengers already did. What the security staff saying is correct as we cannot go and come inside as this a airport, but what about the arrangements, the situation already become mess. The Main thing, I asked a security staff whose name with Mr. Miri or Neri i asked him when the trolley will gonna come? He was saying ridiculously it will take 2 days ("Parsou Ayega"), i was so much crazy because of his irresponsible reply, I said to him don't speak like that and make apology and he is saying again "go and complaint anywhere I dont care and now go and stay inside untill trolly arrives" Later some trolleys arriving inside then all the passengers messing up on the trolleys its like a war. Its reminding my earlier days in the ration shop fighting for the kerosene and in the water tank fighting for the water. Finally there was some trolley for me too I got it myself luckily. Its a bad experience I got ever in my 10 year experience. I know this complaint is very late as that thing was happened more than a month ago, but please don't consider it as a complaint, as you know many travellers from abroad arriving to Chennai through the chennai airport, please dont give them bad first expression, i saw those foreigners face on that day they feel very very bad about the arrangements of this simple thing. Also about the security staff, how they are getting like this courage to handle the passengers very hardly, I dont know also how they are handling the foreign nationalities, when they know well about to manage the consequences, they will do the same for them as well, who knows. By the way I want to appreciate also about the construction of the Departure gates, its awsome nice wonderful, kindly please maintain to stay as it is. I feel proud. Thanks & Best Regards Balaji KP

                                  My brother has just come down from Russia. In the customs clearance the security police and customs officers forced him to speak in Hindi. They refused to answer unless he speaks in Hindi. If they want other to speak in hindi they must stay home. They are fit for customs official position. They work and live in tamilnadu they must learn to speak tamil. How can they force passengers to speak in hindi.

                                    The present rules allowing just 5 minutes free parking at the new Terminal at Chennai is absolutely ridiculous. Let AAAI do a proper time and motion study to see how long it would take for any motorist to drive to the DEPARTURE TERMINAL, stop the vehicle to get a trolley and offload luggage and drive all the way to the Exit Point - all within 5 minutes ?? Plus the fact that the exit point is usually crowded and slow-moving - and we are stuck there for around 2 - 5 minutes.

                                    In addition, the staff manning the Exit point are ILLITERATE, RUDE & OFFENSIVE. If you exceed the allotted 5 mins by even a fraction of a minute, you have no option but to shell out Rs 67.

                                    Why is it that only Chennai airport has such crazy and unrealistic rules ?

                                    we were told that the time limit would be increased to 10 mins - no sign of that happening yet.

                                      Dear Sir/Madam,

                                      My parents were travelling to London from Chennai -> Delhi Delhi - > London flight. When they were filling the Imigration form in chennai near the imigration cell, their baggage was stolen. Inspite of the efforts they werent able to find the bag.

                                      AS it was getting delayed to the flight they proceeded to the gate. Please let me know the procedure to take action.

                                        I had gone to Chennai airport to send off my cousin on, the fight was around 9.40 PM we bought visitor pass at the Gate 1 Domestic departure terminal @ 9.05 PM. As the flight was delayed by 30 mins hence it was not scheduled to fly on time so we had decided to stay back. Five minutes before 10.00 PM the security official at the Gate 1 didn't allow us to stay in at the visitor's lounge calming that visitors are not allowed after ten. We enquired him whether is it written officially any were about the time line, he refused to answer but insisted me & my family to vacate. I told him as per your comment also we still have 5 mins to ten but he refused and didn't allow us for a minute even.
                                        I tried to reach Airport officials to register a complaint on the same but Airport manager didn't give any feedback form or complaint registration, they only guided me to call a toll free no.[protected]. I called that no. then and there itself. (it was a automated voice recording system) i voiced over my detail complaint in that toll free but didn't get any acknowledgement no# and all. So i'm not even sure whether the complaint is registered or not.

                                        My grounds for the complaint: Visitor pass ticket says its valid for 2 hours and i was chucked out by a security within 50 mins stay, out of the lounge (ticket purchase time around 9.10 & chucked around 9.55). No where it says visitors cannot stay after 10 ( meaning no sign board or not even imprinted in that ticket as such). and the security official insulted me & my family by literally sending out of the lounge.

                                        I do have the security's details & visitor pass details with me, if anybody could help me out in registering a complaint or take formal actions. i'm ready to provide the details.

                                          Today I went to chennai airport to drop my brother . At the car parking entry person issued me entry ticket, I said him I am not going to park my car and will drop my brother and ride away. He said for five minutes it is free. So I dropped brother and came near exit gate within 4 minutes . Now there were car queue for exit. I was struck . one of the person incharge of car traffic asked me to go to another entry where car queue was short. I did. When I reached exit gate It was more than 5 minutes . The lady sitting at exit gate counter to pay 60 rupees for 8 minutes. I told her what was the situation and was not willing to pay. After 10 minutes of verbal argument, a supervisor came and asked me to pay. I told him I cannot. He asked me to I need to meet manager. My friend got off the car and went inside the airport where the manager was sitting and explained him what happened. Manager said no need to pay and asked to call him when he reaches the exit entry. I called the manager and he asked me to give the phone to counter person. The lady told the exit gate will be opened only if he pays and lot of argument happened. At two more supervisors came there and shouted and spoke very rubbish things. Manager asked us to pay and go. Manager was very indifferent to us. One point of time he asked me not to pay and finally he said to pay and said it is matter of 60 rupees. I was helpless. I don't know what to do.They did not open the gate for exit. I really wanted to fight since this issue was because of car queue. More over It was late night 12.30 am. I just wanted to know why these managers and supervisors were acted indifferently. I got insulted and paid 60 rupees. After paying those supervisors were laughing and were shouting at me. It was very insulting. What had happened for me should not happen for others. I need to know how these issues can be solved and which higher authorities should we call or speak to when this happens at odd time like late night.

Airport Authority of India invited the tender for parking charges collecting for parked vehicles entire the parking area under the terms and conditions of 60% area wise of normal car park its rate Rs 60 and 40% area wise of premium parking its rate RS 120. I have attached the tender documents below.

The contractor Garuda Aviation Services Private Limited Mumbai spent 10 crores to Airport Authority of India for this unauthorised changes of TOLL system. The said Licensee collecting  3 crores per month ,  and is paying a license fee of RS 1.21crores per month under this unauthorised tender. The minimum license fee is 1.21 crores in the invited tender . The licensee paying same amount to AAI per month . IS THIS CALLED OPEN TENDER?

                                                       &n...  So kindly take a necessary action against to Airport Authority of India and Garuda Aviation Services Private Limited(Mumbai under world parking MAFIA, the investigation hand over to   CBI    and save the passengers and public in this cruel harassment, public cheating and robbery inside the airport.
                                          I went to the Chennai Airport / Intl terminal to drop off my uncle. I didnt't even get down from the car. But there was a buildup of cars in the road (due to some elderly couple trying to load their bags in the trolley right in the middle of the drop off road!) and even with my best attempt it took me 7mins to reach the exit gate. Even after repeated attempts at explaining the issue to the person behind the counter she insisted on paying up Rs60. Atleast she could have explained about this partial roll back or directed me to her supervisor/authority which she failed to do as well. It was "its not my problem. You have to pay up" attitude. Certainly this is not the way to deal with the public.

                                          I read a news article that AAI has called for a partial roll-back to the 5min rule. It is reasonable that AAI took this issue under consideration and called for a partial roll back. But is that official? What are the criteria? During which rush hour is this applicable? Unless these are clearly mentioned, it is up to the contractor (Garuda Aviation) to extort money from the public.

                                          Paying up Rs.60 isn't a big deal for me. It is this system(or lack of it?) I am against. I lost my cool today and had to get down from the car, yell at the person at the counter and create a delay at the exit gate for all the vehicles behind me. But unless there is a medium to keep people informed about such rules, invariably everyone is going to do this and create a commotion each and everyday.

                                          I now look up to take this issue with the officials at the airport and see what I can do. If any other affected person whats to tag along with me in this, sure do!

                                          Post here and we shall talk and see how to present this complaint effectively.

                                          I went to the Airport on 03.10.2012. After dropping my Daughter in law for the Trichy flight I came out after 19 minutes. To my suprise they charged me Rs120.00, saying that above 10 minutes the next slab is 4 hours and I had to pay Rs120.00. I feel it is ridiculous and the slab should be
                                          30 minutes : 1 Hour: 2 Hrs etc.,
                                          Nobody will stay for 4 hrs in the airport especially in the Domestic terminal.
                                          Will the authorities look into the matter and save the people from the looting of the Agency, perhaps they want to break even very fast...

                                            car/van 60/- minibus/coach /truck 70/-
                                            courtesy coach 222/- two wheeler 15/-. Under airport authority terms and condition, Premium car parking area is only 20% of total parking area. But the licencee M/S KARNATAKA AVIATION SUPPORT SERVICES provided 90% of premium car park and 10% of normal car park. Parking users are complaint this several times to airport authority of india . The officials didn't take necessary action against this illegal, day theft. Kindly solve this problem at the earliest .

This is a public cheating of car parking contractor's Mafia.Airport Authority of India take immediate action against the contractor follows section IPC - 1860 for theft 378 to 382 and cheating 415 to 420.
                                            Hi,
                                            This is the third consecutive time I could clearly see difference in baggage weight during a check in. In all my last 3 travels my handbag is a standard one with a Laptop, charger and mobile accessories. I was very deliberate in noticing its weight each time which is 7, 8, 9.5 kg resp. This is very shocking that I couldn't believe it. Neither I have increased my material nor removed any. This gives me a great suspicion on machine functioning properly or people have calibrated.
