In the newly opened T4 terminal there is no taxi available at departure and arrival. When you arrive at T4, Ola and Uber not operating from the terminal. Even prepaid taxis not available. Again no taxi can reach T4 airport from city. Don't you understand that airport terminal requires taxis to leave and arrive at the airport. Iam surprised by your not caring attitude of the passengers.

    Im traveling to sri lanka with nokia batteries, and batteries are in my baggage, and they said cannot taken in baggage, but one officer said return them to me and go with hand laggage, but one of officer said no and he didnt return my batteries, and he taken them all, what is the solution for this.

      Fly dubai 447 flight reached at 3.48AM... now time is 5.30AM... not yet delivered luggage...

        Please note there is no proper route to get in for picking up on arrival and leave the airport. Hence it takes longer time to pick up the passenger and its ridiculous because of the airports incompetence, passenger has to pay car parking fee.

          Wanted to get into International parking, was wrongly told by the attendant at the domestic parking entry that we could use the ticket generated there and pay at the international parking. We exited from domestic parking to go to the international parking within 2 minutes 30 servings, however was told we have to pay even though it was the wrong directions by their own attendant that took us there!

              Sub: indigo flight cancelled and refuse to return full money we paid. My itinerary number is wf3qty
              We booked flight tickets through indigo from chennai to delhi on 12th april and return from delhi to chennai on 26th april and paid rs.16544.00.

              Due to cancellationn of flight by indigo itself we could not travel and hence requested them to return back the full amount to me.

              They say they won't give full amount and give only rs.4544.00 since they take rs.12000.00 as cancellation fees per person and per trip rs.3000.00

              I told them if i cancel the travel by own it is acceptable for cancellation charges and since the flight is cancelled by themselves how can they deduct rs.12000.00?

              We are not a rich person since we want to have dharshan at mukthinath we want to go from delhi to mukthinath booked flight tickets from chennai to delhi and back from delhi to chennai.

              If we ourselves cancelled the booked flight tickets can agree for cancellation charges. But if the flight is cancelled by indigo itself they need to return the full amount and if not can take small amount as cancellation charges.

              Request you to advise indigo to return the full amount to me.

                Sir. I wish to complain about the baggage weigh scale at the check in desks at the international and domestic airports.
                We are British passport holders. travel to Chennai many times every year. and also various destinations.

                I strongly believe that the scales at the check in counters for economy class are either DELEBERATELY manupulated and set to 2 kgs per piece more than the actual weight of the bags.or they are all faulty. But how can all desks be faulty. But the desk / counter for economy class passengers are deliberately set 2 kg more per piece especially for the international passengers. They target foreign passport holders and people travelling abroad.

                I wish to complain about 2 incidences.
                Our family are frequent travellers on Emirates Airlines. Each time we travel. We make sure our baggage is well within the baggage allowance limit both on carry on and checked in baggages. we also check the weight on the scale placed at the entrance before the security scanning in the airport before we proceed to the check in counter. We are very much within the allowance. Many times even a few kilos less than our allowance. But when we reach the check in counter the staff at the counter says we are excess.
                On emirates we are are allowed 30 Kg check in and 7 kg carry on. for health reasons we check in 2 pieces and within or less than our allowance. carry on bag 5kg, even though we can carry up to 7 Kg.
                They add on upto 2 Kg per piece. Which is a straight 8Kg and 4 Kg and charge us for excess baggage.

                They are making good money by unfairly charging us. No one questions it. We passengers are powerless.
                In June 2019 my husband who is a heart patient, and I with spondilosis, checked in 4 pieces . when we weighed we were well within the allowance limit and also double checked and confirmed before we came to the checking in counter /desk. At the desk they said we are 8 KG excess @ 2 kgs per piece. They weighed our carry on bag which was 5 Kg and 4 Kg each . They said they were 7 Kg and 6 Kg .Cleverly Giving us no room for shifting some items to the bags to adjust. this is absolutely cheating and lying, FRAUD and making big money. They said all other scales in the airport are faulty and only theirs are correct. Absolute FRAUDS. Unbelievable
                We were charged 16000 rupees. They are happy to recieve dollars and pounds.The process for payment was very complicated and stressful and awfully slow.
                Last month on 28th Dec 2019 I travelled to Dubai and it was the same story.
                Our humble request for ourselves and for all other passengers travelling abroad please Take immediate action and look into this unfair mode of making big money.
                The staff trying to earn their Bonus by milking money from passengers and meddling with the weigh scales at the counter.
                I am sure this the case in all the airports through out India. People trying to do this SIN full things should be severely punished.
                We have not seen this in any other country. Real Sinners.and frauds.

                  When we land at chennai airport after 9pm, invariably ola and uber taxis are not available or they charge 2x... After much struggle if we take other taxi, there is utter chaos near the indian flag pick up point... There is no free flow if taxis and often the drivers get into abusive quarrels and 30-45 mins longer wait for pick up... Damn frustrating after a long days work cum travel when one needs to get home... All because ola has taken the spot near arrivals and other taxis are not allowed there...
                  Poor maintenance work
                  At Chennai airport 23Jan20 at 1800Hr. Security check in queue is indefinitely long. Several passenger are missing the flights. Please make arrangements to expedite check in process. Extremely long queue is wastage of time, space and effort of a person. Thank you.

                    Today at around 5:15 am, me and my husband were waiting for the security check. The security personnel asked my husband to remove belt and watch and put in the tray for scanning. Once the security check was done, when my husband went back to collect his belongings, to his surprise he could find only belt. On enquiring with the crpf guys, they rechecked and found watch got rolled down and got stuck in the belt and was crushed to pieces. No one helped us in filing complaint as they said this is the first time they are encountering such situation. This is the complete mistake of the crpf guys as they were pushing the tray towards the scanner and no care was taken care

                      Half the lights albers baggage collection don’t work. People who land during mid day will have to really strain to look for the luggage’s since been exposed to harsh light outside. It’s pathetic. I saw a few struggling to identify their bags. Besides, i saw about 4 of 5 aai employees in black suit sitting in the dark and on the phone. I can’t understand how you can’t have basics in place. All we need is basic amenities first before trying to make it all swanky. And i can’t even start writing about baggage belt. The airline complaints that the belts don’t work properly. And who in their right minds wants to keep the flight info so small. Just make it big and bold. Pls have your priorities right. I’m so ashamed of chennai airport.

                        Yesterday i have travelled from coimbatore to chennai in spicejet sg 3024 flight which departs from cbe by 9.20pm and reaches maa by 10.15pm. I have connecting flight to singapore by 1.20am by flight scoot tr579. Spice jet arrived by 10.15pm but they parked the flight in the flight graveyard from which it will nearly take 20mins bus to airport arrival. Then the baggage will take another 15mins additional. So by 11pm only able to collect luggage and then me and kid started running to international airport. Then we faced a very tough situation. For baggage scanning there was 300ppl in the single scanning queue and to check in baggage in scoot another 500 ppl in the checkin queue which was serviced jus 4 ppl and able to complete the baggage check in only 12.15. Then went running for immigration. There again such a big queue. At last able to reach the gate only 12.50 and again the gate they splitter these 500ppl as 2 queues and started servicing and able to board the flight only by 1.20. This was so pathetic and priority queues also accept ppl having infants and old aged. So families with kids suffered a lot. Everybody was forced to stand for more than 3hrs. Please take necessary action.

                          Hello,
                          My mother in law travelled to chennai from sydney today by airasia flight. I had booked for wheel chair assistance as she was. Travelling. Alone. The assistance from sydney to malaysia and from malaysia was. Excellent. But i am really angry and frustrated with the service provided at chennai airport. The person who was supposed to help my mother in law at the airport demanded money from. Her stating that he doesn't get paid enough. And moreover he has threatened her and taken australian dollars from her when she offered indian currency of 50 rs. That bloody cheat had taken both the indian money and australian dollars of 10 from my mil
                          This is sick. How could a person take money by threatening elderly people. What is the authority doing? Why should i pay more when i have already booked and paid for the same.
                          What are you going to do about this. I want stringent action taken against that filthy robber.

                            I really shocked that take our money and do business like this. Even a seconds are charged by them.

                            On last sunday i went to airport to drop my wife, i took a pass from internation entry and droped my wife, hardly it was 10 minutes i took, then while returning from there, they asked me to pay 150 rs as a parking charges.
                            I said i just parked for 10 min how it will cost 150?
                            He replied me that even i[censored] exceed 1 seconds it will cost 150.
                            I took 11 minutes. For 1 minute i lost 150 rs.

                            Is that 10 minutes free parking is really sufficient??

                            Are they running a panipuri business?

                            Do anybody ask them?

                            Here in chennai nobody cares anything.

                            Only the eat your money!

                            For parking in malls they charge u like 60 per hour.😕

                            I really dont know somebody will question this,...
                            Very very bad parking system...

                              I am writing this complaint because of the harassment i faced in chennai airport today. I have bought liquor from duty free and it was sealed and in pristine condition with all receipt with me. Due to poor infrastructure of the airport i have to go out of international arrival and walk along the road and enter the domestic terminal for my connecting flight back to kolkata. After checking my luggage in... When i went for security check.. To my utter disbelief the cisf personnel refused to let the liquor bottles that i have bought from the duty free to take on board though they were sealed and packed buy the duty free shop because i have entered the terminal from outside (When there is no option of domestic transfer through the inside of the airport). They insisted on putting it in check in baggage inspite of repeatedly telling them that i have already checked in my luggage and don't have any suitcase with me. Mr anand prakash was in charge of the security here and it's impossible to talk sense with him. Poor infrastructure of the airport combined with incompetent staff and security makes the experience a nightmare for travellers. What's the point of having a duty free shop i[censored] cant carry the products in the hand luggage. I had to take out my camera with the lenses and my laptop and other stuff... Just to put the bottles in the backpack and put it in check in baggage again and carry the contents of my backpack in hand. Never have i faced such problems in any other indian airport during a domestic transfer. They r so concerned with bottles that they don't even realise that people are taking lighters and matches with them on board. This is the state of security in chennai airport which is nothing but an eyewash and harassment for travellers. Avoid chennai airport if with want to shop in duty free. This is my ernest request to the concerned authorities to look into the matter and take necessary steps so that other travellers don't have to face such harassment in future.
                              My bag back is not return to me after i am checked by security

                                For the past 6 months i have experienced more than 20 mins of wait time for baggage collection. There is no proper baggage status update and all the flights luggage are put in the same belt. Is there any specific reason to load all the luggages of 4 different flights at the same time in one belt when the other 3 remain unused. It creates a lot of inconvenience for passengers after a long travel
                                The text of the author is a complaint at his own acts as
                                - no date/time/plac eof the events,
                                - no e-ticket
                                - no BAG TAG
                                - no DAMAGED report, which had to be issued by agent of air carrier following the cistomers complaint at the airport,
                                attached.

                                Nobody has a duty to reply on such types of the complaint.

                                If you expereinced the material loss and wan the compensation due to a delay,
                                you need to collect the related documents and to hire the legal professional for charge.

                                  The securities near the exit ticket counter are really rude and mannerless. They don’t even know how to behave with public. I’m really saddened by their behaviour and their attitude. I had come with my family to drop my relatives and we took the ticket from the entry counter and reached our terminal and then we got a call from our agent saying the flight has been delayed and he had asked us to come near this hotel nearby airport so we left immediately. Near the exit counter the lady had asked to pay 150 rs, this is like exploiting money from people i told her and then explained her things that we just came as our flight got cancelled, but she forced us to pay saying even if you are a sec late you will have to pay after arguing i paid her and then from no where this tall man came and said “spit on yourself” in tamil for no reason. There is where we lost our cool and we started screaming asking why you said that and stuff? He started abusing us as if he is the owner of this airport. We really got upset by his behaviour and the words he used in tamil, he started abusing us for no reason and i’m like why is he even doing that?! My brother was continuously asking him not to do that but he kept instigating my brother and other family members and then he pushed my mother and the situation got worse. I really pity this security guy. Would he do the same to his mother?!
                                  I find it absolutely absurd that for a foreigner, who has no indian sim, that I need a sim to connect to wifi in the airport .
                                  This archaic system has been removed and free wifi is being provided in all europe, gulf etc .
                                  Isnt it time you sort out free wifi for us ?

                                    The securities in here are very rude and they dont even know general manners and how to behave with common people. They are like they are the only owner of this airport. I have been to many countries, but i have never experienced such situation in any other countries. Being an indian, i am facing these kind of problems in my own country. If this is the case for me, then i pity for the foreign travellers who visit india. I feel these people to be a big disrespect for our country. I was standing on the queue for the security check and was unpacking my laptop from my case and i was supposed to place it in the tray for scanning, but sudden the guy near the monitor got up furiously and started yelling at me and insisted me to keep the case directly or scanning. Then i told him that i have my laptop inside my case and he said dont stand here and do it go away and do it and come here in a very rude manner. But the thinh is i was standing on the right queue to place the bag. There were 2 queues, 1 for placing the bag and the other for getting myself scanned. Nothing was wrong in my side and i still faced this problem and the most important thing is they know only hindi nothing more than that. He cant even understand what i say. I can accept what he says.. But i cant accept the way he said it and the way he treated me.
                                    Its very pathetic, such a big AirPort dont have DRINKING WATER & ENOUGH TOILETS For the visitors who are coming for SEND OFF and Arrivals. It has become very commercial, even for pinch of water, we have to buy a small bottle for 60 rupees. If the Authorities look into this, it will be great.

                                      Dear sh. G. Chandramouli, airport director and team,

                                      I am sadden to report a complaint about an unnecessary harassment happened against me on saturday 3rd november 2018 at 22:30.

                                      I was born in india and later settled in uk. I am not indian citizen anymore. I am british. I travel frequently as i do most of my work online/internet so i don’t need to be physically present in uk. And i love to travel to other countries as well. Once in 2 months, i visit my family living in tamilnadu, stay with them for a month and leave to other countries for travel. On saturday 3rd nov 2018, i was leaving the country heading to malaysia. I finished the immigration departure procedures and my british passport was stamped as “departed on 3rd nov” and as i was heading to security clearance, i was stopped by 3 gentlemen who they didn’t identify themselves first, later when i asked, they said, they are police – but clearly they were not wearing any police uniform.

                                      One of them, got my passport and my oci card, and started questions like why are visiting india, what’s the purpose and all.. I gently answered, that i am visiting my family for a month and leaving the country. And i also told that i am visiting india every 2 months as i don’t need a visa, i am a oci card holder and i can visit any time i want. But the gentleman started questioning more harshly later and rudely saying, “i can’t believe you are a genuine person or you have a genuine reason to visit india”, “why are visiting the country often and don’t tell me lies”, “why are you spending so much money for travel”, “you can’t come to the country often”, “ we will track you down wherever you go”, “why are you not married so far” etc., travelling to many countries, spending money, and staying in india is my wish and nobody can question unless i am committing a crime or pose a threat to the country. Will they question a white guy or american and ask questions like this? After a long time, they let me go.

                                      This is not the first time this happened – i faced these kind of interrogation almost 6 times, especially in chennai. I traveled from/to coimbatore directly to singapore, from cochin multiple times, i flew to malaysia, uk, germany multiple times – nowhere i was questioned like a criminal. Only in this so-called chennai international airport, so much harassment. There is a level to which harassment can be tolerated. And it’s my right to visit the country anytime i want and the police shouldn’t be in the jurisdiction at all to advise me. They can’t tell i shouldn’t be traveling and i waste money by airlines, it’s my business after all.

                                      Instead of focusing your attention to innocent public, first try to improve the long line of people standing in queue daily in immigration, long line in security checks, long line in boarding, the longest walk from domestic to international terminal and vise-versa, minicab (Operated by chennai airport) drivers asking for bribery tips if we ask them to drop from domestic to international terminal when the service is free, when all the countries are already implemented e-gates 15 years, no e-gates until now. Well, something is coming on the way, but it’s only for us not for indians.

                                      Please give your focus on things that matters and improve the services, rather than sending 3 police in mufti and interrogating foreigners. The so-called police were standing between immigration and security clearance. Please try to stop giving any disturbing experience any more.

                                      A 5 hr wait was horrible with mosquitoes...

                                      Very pathetic to see airport maintenance and it is a very infectious zone for any traveller

                                        I am mahesh krishnan, today[protected] i travelled from chennai to sydney via kulalampur through air asia. My flight was at 8.15 am, after my immigration clearance and customs clearance i went inside the flight. As soon as the flight took off i noticed that i lost my wallet which i had 500 canadian dollars and almost 1000 inr. Also i had some important visiting cards and other stuffs. It is a brown colour wallet. Kindly inform us in my email id [protected]@yahoo.co.in or [protected]@gmail.com. Or you can handover the same to my brother in law who lives in chennai his name is rajanbabu and he is available in [protected]. I am really stressed regarding this and i hope the airport authorities can help me out

                                          I tried to check in my baggage where i am travelling to uk from chennai 21october 2018 when so tried to check in person in counter misbehaved with me told m3 remove old tags i been doing and again told me move all babbage from the belt were he has to do but he was very rude and i paid 8000 inr for my babbage by card but he took my picture through his personnel phone where i suspect that why he should take my i'd photo way he took he is trying to do something so i kindly request we passenger pay money but we been treated like garbbage and if this case i think my home country doesnt care for their citizen's.
                                          I want action against him and airline.

                                            It is very important to contact my driver after i arrive at the international arrival area but it's not possible to connect to the internet without otp one time password which is sent only to local indian mobile number, this is unacceptable. International visitors without indian mobile number cannot access internet and contact their family.
                                            This isn't digital india.
                                            they know only to ask for bribery and loot people's money.

                                              On 8 september 2018 around 5 a. M while i was travelling from srilanka to cochin via chennai i lost my bag pack in the domestic airport at the bag checking counter at the last counter before check in or the checking counter after checkin. Its a purple bag with the name wolf written on it... There is a denim jacket, sketchpens, phone charger and more. Pleases help me locate it asap. Appreciate an immediate response.

                                                My friend and me were travelling from chennai to mumbai via go air g8304 and chennai to hyd via indigo

                                                The flooring is very dangerous and slippery and anyone can easily slip and break his or her bones if you dont put any proper carpet down in the flooring

                                                  I am in chennai airport. It is 2 pm now and my flight is at 10:30pm. Am new to this place and at the airport the security said we can go to sangeeta hotel which is in front of the arrival gate. I have been waiting since 10:30 am and now when am going for lunch now they said they don't allow us to go out.

                                                  The lady cop is behaving so rudely. These are things what she said without even we asking for all this:
                                                  1. You don't know it is pm and not am in ur ticket
                                                  2. Can't you see the timing?
                                                  3. Why did you come early
                                                  4. People like you keep anything and go. Am not saying about you.
                                                  5. There are blasts in airport you don't know?
                                                  When the indigo staff came to handle the thongs the cop said she will offload us. And we cannot go to this flight.

                                                  If it is not allowed then why did they assure us they will leave us for lunch? Here in the airport there are only snacks outlet and no hotels for lunch.

                                                  We are a family and it is wrong to lie on rules by the cops.

                                                  Why did you cops lie that we will be allowed for lunch?

                                                    missing of pend rive during security check

                                                    I was a traveller by air india express flight no. Ix 605 on 01.5.18, ex. Chennai to trivandrum. Seat no. 24f. After getting the boarding pass, during security check, the official at the security point insisted to drop my pen drive also in the tray along with my phone and valet. After coming out of the body security check, i noticed that the tray containing my aerials is up side down and the things are scattered there except my pen drive....

                                                    I came to chennai by ai906 flight. Rental car i booked. Which entered parking at 05:37:04. There was delay at the entrance parking area and we exit at 05:47:16 hrs. Extra by 12 seconds.
                                                    We paid 150 rupees exit charge. Person not accept any reasons for late and of course 12 seconds can't be late. If atleast calculated in one minute basis, whatever charge payable is justified. But this is exploiting money from people.
                                                    Kindly make this system as per minute payment as this activities can't be as per second.

                                                      I am a 23 year old girl. My flight reached chennai at 4:10 a. M and i didn't want to book a cab so early in the morning. So i asked the officer at the exit gate if i could sit in the airport for 45 mins. He replied very rudely saying that it was a not a place to wait. I found this very insensitive on his part. Being an official, he is supposed to cater to the needs of the passengers, instead he thought it more sensible for a young girl to wait outside than to wait safely in the airport. Unless we change our small thinking, we cannot move forward.
                                                      I m selvambigai Malaysian my flight ak10 date 23/07/2018 at 8.15am at AirAsia flight my husband Indian . he had all documents but he give10 th certificate and rude talking. I m excuse but officer talk go... Go... and bad words and check my handphones
                                                      the most unkind and uncultured airport in the world. it's the mindset of the people that's pulling the country down

                                                        I dont know what the thinking is. My parents know only tamil and not english. They are frequent flyers to us and australia. If you are going to remove speeches and fonts of tamil language the thousands who use the airport dont have a clue of whats going around.

                                                        Hope better sense prevails and you dont remove support of tamil language.

                                                          Display the tamil language again, chennai is belongs through tamilnadu, not belongs through delhi state, chennai also one part of india. You people should give respect for the local languages...
