The deliveryman for EMS did not deliver the object and asked us to go and collect it personnally.
They on the contrary left a printed notice saying " non-delivery due to closed premises" - which is an utter lie.

My name is Lakshmi James and I had sent a parcel through EMS Speed Post on 10th November, 2010 to Pala, Kerala. Speed post ref no is EK[protected]IN. It hasn't reached Kerala yet. I've raised online complaint twice in the EMS website. Initially it was closed without any reply and then it was showing some non relevant information and the statusof the complaint is pending since last 8 days. I tried speaking to the customer care several times but never got a proper reply or solution. They also say that they'll get back to me which never happened. Is there any solution for this? Please help me.

I have posted a complaint on the delay in delivering EMS Speed post, letter posted by my son at Singapore vide No.ER[protected]SG, on 27th June 2011 and the letter was delivered on 2nd July 2011 at 7-30a.m of Indian time.Though the letter reached on 29th June 2011 at Chennai to TCIXPS, the TCS XPS handed over the leter to another Currier Overnight Express on 30th June and the same was deliovered on the 2nd July. Thus the main object in sending the letter under speed post has been defeated. Normally in earlier days, the letters were delivered on the third day.EMS Speedpost Singapore appears to have accepted any responsibility for prompt delivery.My son was very much worried as there was delay and your staff could not give any positive reply.Please advise my son the reasons to the delay in delivering the letter and the action taken to avoid such delays.

I am waiting for my passport send via speed post by my friend from New Delhi. The tracking Number is ED[protected]IN, which surprisingly gives no information when tracked. The speed post should have had reached me in 24 hours, but its more then 60 hours now. I am worried, it has my passport and i have to travel abroad in coming next 3 days.

This is highly unprofessional. The status in website is not and never updated. All the phone numbers mentioned in web site directory are invalid. I tried all four numbers in Lucknow post office and all are invalid. "Please check the number". When there is no one to take any kind of responsibilty how one can trust this present service.

All the public money goes in such useless activities. Simply waste. The money should have been used for some other benefitial puropose by the government rather than wasting on this postal web site.

There is a lot of frustation when the work is urgent and there is a lack of seriousness from the department. Days goes by and nobody takes any responsibilty. Would request you to please get privatized, atlest some competitiveness will be there. This has to be done. As a result atleast we, the public, will get good service.

I too has similar problem. Under PNR No.[protected] dt 3-12-09 I had sent eM.O.fro Coimbatore to Nagpur, of Rs.2000/- for which Rs.100/-was charged. Till 14-12-09 it was not received.
I immediately checked on the internet and saw it was not cleared at Central Server. The P & T Dept has started a southern gird at Mysore. Due to overloading, it gets stuck, all Money orders get irretrivably lost unless the sender keeps regular check with payee. It is similar to the software malfunction with the recent IIM C>A>T>online exams. The IIM was smart to rectify the fault, and about 8, 000 students were given permission for re-writing exams. But the postal dept is still in BULLOCK CART AGE. They are only going through process of TRIAL AND ERROR. They do not have adequate personell for this type of technological breakthrough.
Now, coming back to my case, the P.o.decided to refund my amount. But, they offered only Rs.2000/- and not the charges of Rs.100/-, which they refused to refund, stating some queer clause of the dept.

I wrote to the Sr Suptd.stating that M.O.is not delivered, hence no service is given & further the delay in M.O.has caused great difficulty to payee(*)So, instead, the P.O.should compensate me for non-performance of duty of not delivering the M.O.and also refund the Rs.100/-which is specifically colleceted for the purpose of rendering the money order service.

So I refused the refund, and argued that in olden times, senders P.O.ued to send the M.O.form by plian post to payees' P.O. by rail/road.It used to reach in 3 to 4 days, then postman on cycyle/foot used to deliver the M.O.

Govt.has spent millions for the Postal dept.in form of technology, offices, computer hardward/software, 2/4 wheeler vehicles, higher salaries, new posts of Suptds, Asst.suptds, Inspectors etc.

YET SERVICE NOW A DAYS IS FAR WORSE THAN OLDEN DAYS.

A very smart lady officer at R.S.Puram Post Office, Mrs.Mala, did a 100% perfect job o[censored]nderstanding the
problem, and solved it by calling up Nagpur P.O.and instructed step by step procedure how to decode the data from the central server at Mysore, THIS EFECTED IN CLEARANCE OF MY M.O.on 18-12-09.

The Asst.Suptd.of Post, at Head Post Office, was totally unfit. He was still following the STONE AGE practise of postal dept.in writing one memo after another. Had he taken steps like Ms.Mala, my problem would have settled on the same date.

(*)Payeee is my wife's sister, who is a widow, no income, sick & ailing, and M.O.was sent for urgent medical purpose.
I am seperately taking up this matter with the Consumer courts.

So far the tracking record shows it reached Calcutta Foreign Post Office on 6th June at 4:30am. Since then to this very moment its being held by customs. I visited the Foreign Post on 10th June. The postal executives really came into help and I was shocked by the information they shared with me. The Custom Officer who does the checking of these incoming parcels went on leave since last 10 days and no replacement has been arranged by Kolkata Customs. So there is a huge backlog of parcels awaiting for inspection and subsequent delivery. Today(16/06/09) I rang up Foreign Post again at 12 noon, they told me the respective Custom Officer joined his duty only yesterday and today he is yet to step into the office.

I book a packet from LUDHIANA to HISSAR through speed post vide Receipt No.EP[protected]IN dated 23.11.2009. But, regret to inform you that till date (i.e. 27.11.2009) this packet has not been delivered at destination.

A letter from Fukouka, Japan with delivary number EG[protected] JP reached Mumbai on 11.4.14 for delivary at hyderabad. It was sent to Outgoing EMS Speed Post, Mumbai on 12.4.14. So far it did not reach Hyderabad! May be the post man is carrying it by foot from Mumbai.

Speed post No.EM[protected]IN is not delivered upto now even it is sent on 11/09/2009 from Mumbai to Tadepalligudem. Mailing Address is Birla Sun Life Insurance Company Limited, D.no.2-12-19, Upstairs K.A.M Nursing Home, 2nd Floor, Railway Station Road, Tadepalligudem-534101. We prefer Speed Post for Quick delivery, but We can't understand, why speed post delivery is very late..
Please clear this case early as we have so much problem by this late..Please inform the status to my contact no. [protected].
