ALready made settlement but then too sending bills and pestering me and my family

Sir/Madam,
I, Madhusudhan Puthran, had taken a cash card from GE Money. My card number is[protected]. I had withdrawn the amount of Rs. 6000/- only. I have already made the payment of Rs. 14,500/-. I had received a call from Mr. Umesh from GE Money on[protected] that if you pay a settlement amount of Rs. 6000/- your account will be settled. So I paid the amount of Rs. 6000/-. (receipt number 209647 The collection person had not brought a settlement letter with him, he told me that it would be sent in one week’s time. So he mentioned on the receipt as “FINAL SETTLEMENT.” He also told me that if anyone else asks for a settlement, I should not pay him. From the next month they are pestering me to make payments and levying me with monthly charges. I called them up for the settlement letter too. But they were asking once again money to settle the matters. i sent them a letter too.but the letter came back as showing the address does not exist
They called up my mother’s residence and said to her that her son had a train accident. My mother is a heart patient. What if something have had happened to her?. She is not well from that day onwards. She is always got the fear that will her son return back or not. Once he had called up my wife and threatened her that we will keep track of Mr Madhusudhan and see what we do to him. They told that they will go legally. So I told them that when I have already made the settlement I don’t have any fear. But then too they are just stuck on one matter. You pay once again and settle. This has been going on for the last 2 years. I was not here as I had got a posting outside Mumbai. My family is suffering due to this.
I don’t know what to do.
I would really appreciate if you kindly help me in this matter. My family is mentally troubled by all of this.

asking for cheque bounce charges after it was given

hi, this is a complaint against ge money on the fact that after paying the loan along with interest they are not willing to certify that our loan is totaly paid saying that a bounce charge is due despite of the fact that we have paid the above mentioned charges at that time according to their notice.now they are saying that i have to pay an amount of 1116 rupees which seems to be absolutely rubbish.i have a reciept of the above payment so i can prove that i have paid the money and this is not all before this episode they have asked to pay an extra amount of emi which i had to clarify to them.it seems that gemoney is a fraud company which is involved in cheating its customer and not only that the customer service is also fraud they so desperately want that money that they were asking to come at home to collect the money they keep on calling from the phone number [protected] which is a as i cannot call back to the number and talk.i hereby want justice as ihave been cheated harassed and robbbed by the company.

No Objection Certificate

Hi,
I took a two wheeler loan from GE Money. I paid full and final payment of my loan a week ago after getting a call from Pitumpura office in New delhi. Avinash and his staff called me to pay my remaining amount. They told me that full and final settlement letter from GE Money will be given at the time of payment. No Objection letter will be issued within 3-5 days. That was the affirmative assurance from Avinash.
I made the payment and received full and final settlement letter from GE Money (NOTE - Full and final settlement letter was the photocopy). After making the payment, I waited for 3-5 days. Till now, I did not get no objection certificate. When I made the call to Avinash, his phone number [protected] & [protected]. Nobody picks up both the phones. After doing around 100 calls, someone picked up the call and said that courier has been made. I waited for the courier, which I did not get it. When I did call again, somebody picked up the phone and said Avinash is not here, he went for meeting, he is not well and bla bla bla. Avinash is really a JERK and BIG LIAR.
When I did call again, somebody picked up the phone. When I asked his name, he just disconnected the phone. It is really strange and frustrating. And after that, phone numbers [protected] & [protected] are out of reach and switched off. Is it what GE Money is doing to its customers? It is really really a shame for GE Money.

Payment of money

The company offered me a card for freeagainst good service ofd payment of my loans which I never asked for. My card no. is [protected].
I had done a transaction on this card which I repaid to company with the late fee charges.
Now their executives are calling me regularly and saying that your amount is due for Rs.6000/- and you need to settlle that by paying Rs. 2000/-. and moreover executives are not able to provide the details regarding this amount and moreover they are forcing us by saying that your credit rating will be affected.
I had done a transaction on this card which I repaid to company with the late fee charges.
Now their executives are calling me regularly and saying that your amount is due for Rs.6000/- and you need to settlle that by paying Rs. 2000/-. and moreover executives are not able to provide the details regarding this amount and moreover they are forcing us by saying that your credit rating will be affected.

Heavy Charges and harrasment

Hi,
I am an employee with an audio Video company who had taken a loan from GE money in September 2007. The person who came in to take my documents also sold a medical insurance which i bought for my parents and for which i was asked to pay Rs 250 extra every month with loan amount from Royal sundaram. After i receive the medical card i realized that the date of birth in my father's medical card was wrong and for 3 long years i have been trying to get in touch with GE money for this but all in vain. Now 3 more installments are pending and i dont want to make my payments as the medical card was of no use with the wrong date of birth.
But people from GE money have started harassing me by giving missed calls to my mobile at least 30 calls a day. I am mentally disturbed and even today they donot want to solve my problem but only need their money installment money.
What about the money that i have lost?
These people call up and abuse me everyday. Please help.

G.E.MONEY — harrasment of dummy calls
G.E.MONEY bank provide loan to everyone but it never check tht customer detail is right or wrong...everyday bank called me for bharat kumar patel cause someone give my no. To his account and no one check tht no. Is wrong... Myself master hiren and i never take any loan than why they harras me for loan...they called me everday n mantally harras me..if dis continued i vl surely do some action against G.E.money bank..plz help me out from this problem Helpful

I had taken an auto loan (Loan A/c MBVITE009040) for my vehicle (Maruti 800 DX) from Maruti Countrywide Finance in year 2000 for a term of 3 years. This was when IO was residing in Thane, Maharashtra. The loan got over in mid-2003 and at that time when the last installment was to be paid I had checked with Maruti Countrywide about any outstandings / dues and based on that final instalment was cleared. Its been 7 years since then. Now I am in the process of selling the vehicle and when I approached the RTO for NOC, they requested a NOC from the finance company. It is then that I figured that the erstwhile Maruti Countrywide has been taken over by GE Money and this where all the problem begun.
First of all it took me all of 4 calls over 3 weeks to speak to someone at GE Money. Every time I called up on their so-called "Happy Smiles" number, I was put on hold for over 20-25 minutes. However, when I did manage to speak to a customer service representative on 16th July 2010, my loan account was tracked only to be let known that there were dues of around Rs. 6500 on my account apparently due to uncleared bouncing charges. They would however not let me know when and on which bounced cheques these charges have been levied. When a request for statement was made they said that it would be charged. When I asked the female executive on the line as to why I had not been informed of the same over the past 7 years, she replied that the concerned department would get in touch with me for clarifying the same.
On the 17th of July 2010, another Customer Care executive by the name of Mr. Piyush Gupta calls me only to let me know the same things. When I queried as to why the Customer had not been informed of the same, he categorically replied that they (as in GE Money) do not "in-principle" inform (by phone/fax/e-mail/post) the customer of such outstandings and that it is the customers responsibility to check on the same. He himself clarified that as per records available with him I had called up the erstwhile Maruti Countrywide on 20th June 2003. He later himself, without me asking for, stated that I would have to pay a minimum of Rs. 4500 to settle the same. I did not agree and stated that at the most cheque bouncing charges amounted to a few hundred rupees and considering that I would agree to pay only Rs. 1000. I was told that this amount was not acceptable. Since the discussion was entering into a kind of 'negotiation' mode, I asked the executive as to what would be the minimum amount acceptable to GE Money and Mr. Gupta replied that he would have to check and hence I was put on hold. After around less than a minute, he came back on line to tell me that the minimum amount payable would be Rs. 2500. In less than 5 minutes of discussion, the amount payable by me fell down from Rs. 6500 to Rs. 2500.
This very clearly indicates that the firm is into blackmailing and harassing customers into paying amounts without intimating or informing them of the same. No notice, letter, fax or e-mail was sent to me nor was I called in the time that I was in Mumbai till I Shifted to Delhi in April 2006. What was the firm doing till then - waiting for the outstanding dues to accumulate so that further penalties could be levied. What is the RBI doing about such fraudulent practices being followed by such firms? This is atrocious and completely unacceptable. What is the solution?

I am totally agreed with this user as i am also a victim of GE Countrywide blackmailing and harassment. The incident said above is the same case with me. I don't know ho to get out from this hell and get my NOC.

Questionable charges
I used Ge to pay for Lasik surgery. I received a no interest deal for a year and since the fee was almost $3,000 I was happy for that. I have been paying faithfully for 2 years now and about 5 months ago I started getting suspicious and noticing that my balance owed was not really budging so I starting inquiring with the company about it. Customer service is HORRIBLE with Ge and I got nowhere. They said I had to make a written request to to have them mail me my entire account breakdown so I did. They sent me only for 2010...not what I asked for. So I filed a complaint with the BBB. Finally last week I got it in the mail. Checked it against my bank statements and the payments were all right there. What they did though was charge me back finance charges for the entire year I was supposed to not get charged for. Total was an extra $543.81 added back onto my bill. This and the extravegent finance fees have been making it impossible to pay off. My banker even said the percentage was more than he has ever seen. Ge will get NO MORE from me. My bank is giving me a great deal so I can pay off the rest and not give Ge any more of my hard earned money. I regret not researching them before using them. Just because they are a big company does not mean they can trample on honest people!

Wrong report to CIBIL

I took a personal loan from GE Money in 2006 of about 42k. I closed the loan through ECS from my bank account. NOw i planned to take a auto loan. I was given the CIBIL report which says that i have a balance of 1902 which needs to be closed. Shocked to hear as how can a ECS will have balance and how will they let me go till 2010. Also i remeber once i had a delay for one month and I was torchered for 10 days. I have never cheated any bank or for credit card and I have no outstanding with any one, now my rating says i am worst customer in their words in the report. The amount of blood they have drunk as interest and the TITLE they have given me is paining and the banks which follows this is horrible. Also i hate GE for the way they treated me. You can try that out by trying to contact GE customer care as an existing borrower and reach a customer care executive. Dial this number <your local STD code>39022000. You will never reach them
Each and every GE Customer is victim of yery high interest charges, poor service afterwords, and harassment.
They are very quick in terms of giving loan
as within 48 hours you will get loan from GE money.
But the day after you receive money,
problem will start. It does mot matter how much well off you are or how much sincere you are regarding the payments.

I loaned a amount of money from GE Money at 11.50% per annum. The tenure of the loan was 12 years. After a period of only 2 years in Feb 2010 GE Money suddenly increased the Interest Rate to 12.88% per annum. That is an increase of 1.38% at a time when most Banks were reducing Interest Rates due to economic recession.
When i told GE Money that i wanted to close the loan since they had increased the Interest Rate too high, they applied a penalty of 4% + Service Tax as foreclosure charges!
I am at present being blackmailed on both sides. If i continue the loan i pay extraordinarily high Interest Rate. If i dont, then i pay extraordinarily high Foreclosure Charges.
I dont know if there is a way out or not... But my advice to all future loan seekers... DONT GO TO G.E. MONEY...
When i told GE Money that i wanted to close the loan since they had increased the Interest Rate too high, they applied a penalty of 4% + Service Tax as foreclosure charges!

HARRASEMENT AFTER FULL PAYMENT
Sub: Grievances against Ge Money-Kolkata Dhakuria Branch

Dear Sir,
I had applied for a personal loan in the above bank/branch for Rs 60000/- in June’2006 to get registration of my flat. But the bank sanctioned a loan of Rs 28000/- which I deny to take at branch office. Mr.Bidyut the guy who was representing my file told me that this is a partial approval and after 3 successful EMI paid you will get another Rs 20000/- without any increase in the present EMI. Further you will get another Rs 55000/- as pre approve loan after the completion of 6 EMI’s whose EMI will start after completion of your first loan of Rs 28000/-. I ask for the return document whatsoever, he conveys me that it will come directly from H.O. with the payment schedule of this loan.
But I have not got any such paper with the payment schedule. I had contact over phone and went personally to branches several times to resolve the matter but nothing comes fruitful. I told to the then manager Ms. Priyanka jaiswal of dhakuria branch I am not interested to carry the loan since the amount is not fulfilling the matter for which I have applied for the loan.
After so may telecom and follow up with emails (copy attch for your ready ref.) I have advised to pay the balance amount in cash which comes to Rs 14000/- and I did accordingly. On the receipt they have written it full and final payment for the loan and given me a number to fax the receipt so that I will get the NOC accordingly. On the faith of a repute bank I have paid full amount what bank has given to me and ask for a NOC letter. But still today I am not getting any NOC letter.
Meanwhile when a manager change or a representative change in the branch they again contact me and ask for the amount and said your loan is not closed and you have to pay the amount. I have narrated the entire episode again and again and they convey me that matter will be resolve and you will get NOC and security cheque.
To my surprise I got a call from a few days ago from the bank and ask for the payment. I told him the fact and he threatened me to get bounce my cheque which is deposited as a security and will issue an arrest warrant and then I will compelled to pay the amount.

Dear Sir,
I had applied for a personal loan in the above bank/branch for Rs 60000/- in June’2006 to get registration of my flat. But the bank sanctioned a loan of Rs 28000/- which I deny to take at branch office. Mr.Bidyut the guy who was representing my file told me that this is a partial approval and after 3 successful EMI paid you will get another Rs 20000/- without any increase in the present EMI. Further you will get another Rs 55000/- as pre approve loan after the completion of 6 EMI’s whose EMI will start after completion of your first loan of Rs 28000/-. I ask for the return document whatsoever, he conveys me that it will come directly from H.O. with the payment schedule of this loan.
But I have not got any such paper with the payment schedule. I had contact over phone and went personally to branches several times to resolve the matter but nothing comes fruitful. I told to the then manager Ms. Priyanka jaiswal of dhakuria branch I am not interested to carry the loan since the amount is not fulfilling the matter for which I have applied for the loan.
After so may telecom and follow up with emails (copy attch for your ready ref.) I have advised to pay the balance amount in cash which comes to Rs 14000/- and I did accordingly. On the receipt they have written it full and final payment for the loan and given me a number to fax the receipt so that I will get the NOC accordingly. On the faith of a repute bank I have paid full amount what bank has given to me and ask for a NOC letter. But still today I am not getting any NOC letter.
Meanwhile when a manager change or a representative change in the branch they again contact me and ask for the amount and said your loan is not closed and you have to pay the amount. I have narrated the entire episode again and again and they convey me that matter will be resolve and you will get NOC and security cheque.
To my surprise I got a call from a few days ago from the bank and ask for the payment. I told him the fact and he threatened me to get bounce my cheque which is deposited as a security and will issue an arrest warrant and then I will compelled to pay the amount.

I took auto loan in year 2007 from your org. and i hv paid the complete amount with interest which is been occured because of the mistake of Ge executive only, as i said him to put the cheque in sequences he didnt so couple of cheque got bounced,
now after everything is clear still why my name has been sent to civil sites.

ge money has levied unnecessary charges as late payment ,interest,over limit chargesetc for not paying on correct due date .but i had been told to make the payment through easy bill,and none of the easy bill person is ready to accept the payment of rs 38000 in one go.so i had to make the payment in several times and the same get late due to this.when i contacted the bank for the same they told me do what ever u want but we are not going to lodge any complaint for the same.and u had to bear all the late payment charges and intrest.my card no is

my only one cheque was bounced which i already intimate GE Money that please dont present the cheque because my salary was not transferred due to change of my office please deposit after two days. but they deposited on same date and the cheque was bounced, for this they are entered my name in RBI Civil Info. This is the way the Bank is working. almost i have deals with all the banks but this type of bank First time,

Charging me Bounce charges though I paid the EMI on due date.

Dear Sir / Madam,
I have taken a personal loan for Rs.25,033.00 (RPKO[protected] from GE money on January 2009. After the processing charges etc I received Rs. 22,274.00 as cheque bearing the number 149864 dated 16.01.2008. I had chosen the EMI payment by ECS from my salary SB A/c with icici Bank Edapally ( Cochin ) branch.
Since the company, where I worked wound up by the middle of May 08, icici bank demanded me to make my salary A/c to normal SB A/c by keeping Rs. 10,000.00 as monthly minimum balance. It was not affordable to me. So I Opted not to use the icici A/c and I have informed the same at GE money Cochin branch on the third week of
November 08 itself. GE money Cochin branch asked me to replace the already
given cheque leaves with another bank's if I wish to change the bank.
GE money did not accept the other banks cheque leaves since they were not MICR Cheque.
Then they told me, to pay by cash at the collection agencey office on the third week of every month.
For the first one or two months (December 08 and January 09). I paid the EMI as cash at the collection office by the third week as GE money advised me. In the middle of January 09, when I talked with a collection agent through the phone he advised me to pay on or before the due date (7TH of every month) if I am paying by cash. Then onwards I have been paying all EMI by cash on the first week of every month.
On this month I wished to close this loan account and contacted the Cochin office for the same. They said I have to pay Nearly 21,000.00 Rs to close this account. This really shocked me. They made the reason that I have to pay the Cheque bounce charges of Rs.7500.00 and penalties.
I don’t understand, Why did not the GE money inform me about this bounce charges earlier when I talked about paying EMI as Cash, or even when one or two cheque got bounced?
Even though I paid the EMI before the due date, Why did GE money charge me the bounce charges and penalties?
I request you to let me know the actual closing amount that I have to pay excluding the bounce charges and penalties.
I am not willing to pay any bounce charges and penalties due the following reasons.
1. I have made the EMI payments by cash at the collection agency office with out any fall, as per the instruction from GE money and I have the receipt for all of them.
2. GE money Cochin office misguided me to pay the EMI by cash on the third week of every month. (two weeks after the due date)
3. Even though my cheques were bouncing continuously, GE money did not inform me about the bounce charges or penalties until I approached GE money to talk about the closing of my loan account.
4. I have paid all the EMI on or before the due date, still GE money sent the cheque for clearance.
5. While I called GE money customer care (IVRS) on the 3rd December 09, GE money told my outstanding loan amount as Rs.7500.00
In view of the above statements and facts, I request you to let me know my actual loan closing amount at the earliest.

I had taken a 2 wheeler loan from GE Money in 2005. I had not taken my RC book from the co. after payment of all the EMI's. Now I cannot find there office, it had shifted to several places in the town and finally winded up. How can I get back the RC book. Helpful

I had taken two wheeler loans in the year 2000 and also cleared that loan which bear account no. RDL[protected] from then GE Countrywide Financial Services and now GE Money having branch office at 401,402, Fourth Floor, Agarwal Melinnium Tower, Netaji Subash Marg, Pritampura, New Delhi 110034.
During my loan tenure, one cheque was bounced due to insufficient fund in my bank account which was paid by me within two days against their cash receipt.
Now I sold two wheeler. For making transfer of two wheeler, in the name of purchaser, NOC is required. I contacted GE Money and now they are asking me that in the year 2001, my cheque of Rs. 1583/- was bounced and for that penalty of Rs. 400/- is due to them and with interest till date the amount is Rs. 4000/-. In absence of this deposit, no NOC will be issued. Earlier they never told me all this.
Again, if cheque is bounced for two days and next I paid cash then why interest is being charged for years together and not for those two delayed days.
I request you to kindly intervene in the case and make possible for me to get NOC at the earliest

Extra Installment deducted
I took loan from GE Money, Dehradun (Uttarakhand). My loan account was RNDD00006029. On 29.02.2008 I paid all my dues of Rs. 24000/- via Receipt No. CDR 0040218. Even after my clearance GE Money deduced one more installment for Rs. 2321/- on 10.12.2008.
When I approached Dehradun office of GE money. I was surprised to know that GE money office disappeared from Dehradun. There was also no response from agent of GE money in Dehradun. Customer care no. is also not working.
How can I get back that money back. Kindly help.

I'm a bussinessmen nd i took a loan against property from ge money of principal amount 1500000 at an emi 22, 388 p.m. for 10 yrs. I was very happy to be a part of such a prestigous company but my happiness soon changed into sadness due to the following problems --------
1. When the r.o.i was increased they sent me a statement informing me about the increased rate as well as mine increased no. of installements .
2. Now when the r.o.i is decreased they neither sent me any statement nor decreased my no. of emi's
on the top of that they now dont have the time to entertain me nor they provide me with proper information . On my each visit to their office i'm given a unsatisfactory answer that soon bank satement will be sent to you.
What should i do now ???
I'm in great trouble please help me.

NOC ON LOAN NOT RECIEVED EVEN AFTER @ REMINDERS

Subject: Issuing of NOC in correct name.
This application is regarding issuing of correct NOC for the loan re-paid by me.

The loan was availed by me and I provided the correct loan account number to GE money for NOC.There is no question of doubt and its 100% sure that due to someone's mistake some wrong name has been given in NOC.

When i called the again for follow-up, they simply say that you will receive NOC soon.

Relating to settlement
Settlement made on 27.09.2008 for Rs.25000/- in five short, i received settlement letter in which, two short was mentioned, after telecoversation, it has been told me that i can give five cheques(PDC) to the executive of the GE Money. I gave five PDC and there was no problem till january'2009. in the first week of Feb'2009, i got a call for payment, i told that pl send ur cheque in Bank for the installment. i try to find out the last PDC then it was cofirmed through GE Money executive and Bank that the last installment cheque was bounced, because it was sent in the month of Oct'2008.I told the GEMoney that pl send ur executive to collect the other cheque of 5000/- although this is the mistake of GEMoney but it has been said my settlement has became nul and void and i have to pay 26000/-(around). i sent alot of mails to customer alongwith receipts but they didnot accept.Then i send many mail to [protected]@ge.in but didnot get any reply.
therefor i request u pl solved my problem.i am ready to pay five thousand (balance amount), because this is not my fault.Last PDC date was 30.01.2009 (mentioned in the receipt given by their executive) and sent it in the month of October'2008 without any information. i am send scanned copies through mail.

1. My account settlement made on 27.09.2008 with Mr.Satyapal singh ur executive for 5 installment.
2. He sent a person to collect PDC alongwith settlement letter on 30.09.2008.
3. Two installment was mentioned in the letter.
4. I refused to pay and called him.
5. He commit me that pl give it in 5 installments PDC and accept it as five installments.
6. I issued 5 PDC and received receipts against 5 PDC on 30.09.2008
7. Up to January there was no problem.because four cheques of dtd 30.09.2008, 30.10.08, 30.11.2008 and 30.12.2008 were encashed.
8. In the month of february i have been demanded for payment and told me that ur settlement has been nul and void. I shocked and told that i have given a PDC for the month of 30th, january.pl send cheque to the bank and get it encashed.
9.Around second week of march, 2009 it was found that cheque for the month of january, 2009 has been bounced because this has been sent to the Bank in the month of October, 2008.by ur emplyoee.You can check it from receipt, attached.Therefor cheque was not available to send in the month of january.
10. I sent many mails to the customer care(Poonam Bajaj) that do not make it nul and void or u give me revised letter for balance payment of Rs. 5000/-, because this is ur fault but did not get my case resolution.
11. Therefor i request u please look after my case and send revised letter for balance payment of Rs.5000/-.Cheque has been bounced due it was sent in the month of october'2008 in lieu of month of january'2009.so this is ur fault.
12. Details of receipt of payment alongwith letter and satyapal'mobile no. attached.
pl do the need full on urgent basis.Sir this is my fifth mail.

I was working with GE Countrywide Consumer Financial Services Ltd. in the year 2005.
I have to get my PF from there. When i asked the authorised person; he is asking for my PF Number which is not mentioned anywhere on the PaySlip or Relieving Letter or any other official document.
When i asked them, they told that the PF Number must be there on your Pay-Slip.

Not swapping the cheques
This is regarding, that I have took an auto loan from GE countrywide in year 2006. My loan account number is RDLR00639011.
9 months before I have swapped 8 cheques from HDFC bank to Axis bank (Cheque no. are 005142 to 005149) wide receipt no. CDL 1050741 dt.26.02.2008, after paying the swap charges of Rs.500 to GE countrywide. But those people are still placing the cheques of HDFC bank instead of Axis bank, due to this cheques are bouncing and those people are charging bounce charge on me every month. I have called those people several times
(Ref. no. DL[protected] and also went to there concern office at PitamPura and met with Mr. Sudhir who is taking care of all these grievances, but I have not got any response from there side.
Those people had black listed my name, while there is no fault of mine. Please interfere in this regard, as there recovery agents are forcing me to pay full amount (including bounce charges).

Harassment to make payment not due
i had taken a whirlpool refrigirator on 21st october 2006 through vijay electronics. I had made initial down payment of 5739/- and the rest was conveted into emi. The electonic loan was given by ge money.
at the time of giving the down payment i had given pdcs for the remaining due amount of 9451.
AS per my bank statement my all pds cheque has been debited by ge money, where in ge money claims that the last cheque i.e cheque no 25 has been returned due to shortage of funds . As per my bank statement the cheque no 25 was debited on 05/07/2007 amounting to rs 1266/- has been cleared I have also cross chequed with my bank the same has been confirmed by the bank that the amount has been debited.
If ge money claims that the cheque has been dishonured then the cheque should have been returned in my account as well as my bank would have charged me for the same. But the amount which was due from my end has been cleared on 05/07/2007 .
Still ge money has put my name in negative list of customer and is threatning me by sending letters from their lawyers nearly 8 to 10 times i have submitted my bank statement to ge money which shows that my cheque has been cleared also i have faxed my statement to the call center of ge money.
Also on 21st of october 2008 ge money has given a call on my landline nos and told that my payment is due.ge money is threating and harassing me for the payment which has already been cleared from my end also when asked to returned the cheque which has been dishonoured ge money is not returning me the same.
I would like to put a complaint against ge money also would ask for a compensation for putting my name in negative list which has impact my creditabilty in the banking sector

GE MONEY & LOEWS FINANCIAL have been harassing me for the past several weeks attempting to collect a debt for an account holder with the same first and last name as mine, but is not me, nor my debt. First of all, I have never applied for a LOEWS credit card, nor have I ever owned one. I am not even a home owner, so not much home improvement going on at my place by me. I originally received a letter attempting to collect a debt in the amount of $935.00. I was surprised to receive the letter knowing I had never owned or applied for services through GE, or LOEWS. That day I ran my credit (and paid the credit site fees out of pocket) to see if someone had stolen my identity and was attempting to use my information to obtain services and credit. I was pleased to find that nothing was reporting to my credit from LOEWS or GE MONEY. I then called GE MONEY & LOEWS FINANCIAL at the number posted on the letter. I informed them that I didn't think they had the correct individual, and they asked to confirm my social security number. I gave them the last 4 digits, which DID NOT match the SS# they had in their collection records. I then asked to confirm the additional information on the account to see if they had my phone number, or address. According to the rep, they additional information did not match mine either. She stated that it appeared to be a mix up, and that they most likely found my information through "skip tracing" and that she would remove my info and note on the account what she had found. I then wrote what she had advised me to on the letter and returned it as instructed. She stated I SHOULDN'T be getting any more mail or communication regarding the matter. I felt like matters had been addressed accordingly and gave it no more thought, until...
I received yet another letter, and another, and another in the same week. All four letters came after our conversation, so I assumed they were already in the mail, called GE MONEY to tell them that I was still getting mail and send the additional letters back as I did the first time exactly as they instructed me to. Again, the rep told me I shouldn't be getting any more letters, and that she had COMPLETELY removed my info from their system (which apparently didn't match what they had on record, that they magically denied having every time I called about the letters).
So, the next week I was happy to see that no more letters came from GE MONEY or LOEWS FINANCIAL. However, at this time they started in with the harassing phone calls. So, I had finally gotten the letter issue handled and they started calling me instead. The issue I have here is that I gave them my phone information so they wouldn't call me, and then I started getting calls, so it was easy to assume that they had started using the information I gave them to continue to harass me for a debt that isn't even owed by me, or anyone I know. I nicely requested each time they called me that they review their notes on the account and that they kindly see that I stop getting these types of calls, and that it was getting pretty old after having received an average of 4 calls a day to my cell phone over the course of the week. Each time I got a new rep who called me, I told them the same thing, and was as polite as I could be (not my typical reaction to these mistakes, but I was trying to be nice). Each time I was assured that my information was out of their system, and that they have no record of me in it, and that I wouldn't be receiving any more calls to my cell phone. At that time, I was under the impression that things were handled and that I wouldn't be getting any more calls. Not so lucky...
The next week, and weekend. I was again surprised (getting harder though since now nothing would surprise me from these people) to get another call, this time it was on my home phone, which I don't even give out or use for any reason. The other funny thing, is that my phone bill for my house isn't even in my name, it's in my roommates name. I was literally steaming as I was trying to spend Valentines Day with my sweetheart and during our movie, the damn COMCAST caller id kept popping up saying it's GE MONEY calling. Arggg. At this point I had had enough from these people, and felt like it was not borderline harassment anymore, but was now full-fledged harassment. I immediately phoned the number that was calling. I asked to speak with a supervisor, got a new person, asked to speak with their supervisor. When I finally got to the person who told me they were as high as I could go, I explained what was happening (basically everything I wrote above) and that I was not happy at this point about the way this matter was being dealt with. I then told the rep that if I got even ONE MORE call, period, that I was going to write reviews and pursue the harassment by any means necessary including via my State's Attorney General (Rob McKenna), the Better Business Bureau (BBB), the FTC and Online through review sites, blogs, forums, Twitter, Youtube, etc. and any other way I could find. She nicely listened to my rant and assured me that AGAIN, FOR THE TENTH TIME, that I WOULDN'T receive any more calls, either on my cell or at home. And that after 30 minutes I FOR SURE wouldn't be getting any more calls to any of my numbers. She also attempted to transfer me to the Fraud Dept. so that I could have them investigate the matter form their end. I am not sure why she suggested that, but figured any one I could get to remove my information on their end would be better than taking their word for it. So, during the transfer I got cut off, had to phone back and wait forever to get back where I was. Finally got through and turns out the Fraud Dept isn't even open on weekends. I decided to give them one more chance at this point and went on with my Valentines Day. Did not get any more calls thank heavens.
First thing on Monday, I phoned the Fraud Dept. to follow up with what the rep and I had spoken about on Sunday. I got on with a very nice gal at the Fraud Dept. that was nice and seemed very helpful. She informed me that it wasn't Fraud, that it was a mix up due to the fact that they skip trace for information that may or may not match information they have on record for their accounts. She kept using the word skip trace. To me this whole scenario seemed weird. And had never had anything like that happen before in my 28 years. She also assured me that my info would be cleared on her end, and that I shouldn't be getting any more calls, unless they run another skip trace and end up with my information again. I told her that wasn't acceptable, and if they were going to use random information like that, that they needed to have a way of removing information that was deemed to be invalid for their actual account holder, that way, people like me wouldn't be getting harassed like I had been. She said she couldn't do anything and that she had removed my information and that I need not worry about calls.
Less than 30 minutes later, on Monday I got another call from GE MONEY and LOEWS FINANCIAL on my cell phone. "Are you kidding me?" I asked. Needless to say, I was not nice to the last person, I told them that this call was the straw that broke it for me, and that I was going to follow through with my promise to report them, review them, and plaster my story all over the Internet. So, that's what I'm doing. I usually don't even write reviews online, nor do I have time to do such things. I just really feel like this is all wrong and that if I don't speak up it might continue to happen to me, and others out there.
If you find yourself in a similar situation with GE MONEY and LOEWS FINANCIAL don't wait as long as I did to start speaking up. Seriously, I tried to be nice and it doesn't cut it with these collection people. If I were you, and had it to do over again, I would have reported it to my State's Attorney General, BBB, FTC and all over the Internet from the beginning. Take my work for it, the squeaky wheel tends to get the grease.

I was literally steaming as I was trying to spend Valentines Day with my sweetheart and during our movie, the damn COMCAST caller id kept popping up saying it's GE MONEY calling. Arggg. At this point I had had enough from these people, and felt like it was not borderline harassment anymore, but was now full-fledged harassment. I immediately phoned the number that was calling. I asked to speak with a supervisor, got a new person, asked to speak with their supervisor. When I finally got to the person who told me they were as high as I could go, I explained what was happening (basically everything I wrote above) and that I was not happy at this point about the way this matter was being dealt with. I then told the rep that if I got even ONE MORE call, period, that I was going to write reviews and pursue the harassment by any means necessary including via my State's Attorney General (Rob McKenna), the Better Business Bureau (BBB), the FTC and Online through review sites, blogs, forums, Twitter, Youtube, etc. and any other way I could find. She nicely listened to my rant and assured me that AGAIN, FOR THE TENTH TIME, that I WOULDN'T receive any more calls, either on my cell or at home. And that after 30 minutes I FOR SURE wouldn't be getting any more calls to any of my numbers. She also attempted to transfer me to the Fraud Dept. so that I could have them investigate the matter form their end. I am not sure why she suggested that, but figured any one I could get to remove my information on their end would be better than taking their word for it. So, during the transfer I got cut off, had to phone back and wait forever to get back where I was. Finally got through and turns out the Fraud Dept isn't even open on weekends. I decided to give them one more chance at this point and went on with my Valentines Day. Did not get any more calls thank heavens.
First thing on Monday, I phoned the Fraud Dept. to follow up with what the rep and I had spoken about on Sunday. I got on with a very nice gal at the Fraud Dept. that was nice and seemed very helpful. She informed me that it wasn't Fraud, that it was a mix up due to the fact that they skip trace for information that may or may not match information they have on record for their accounts. She kept using the word skip trace. To me this whole scenario seemed weird. And had never had anything like that happen before in my 28 years. She also assured me that my info would be cleared on her end, and that I shouldn't be getting any more calls, unless they run another skip trace and end up with my information again. I told her that wasn't acceptable, and if they were going to use random information like that, that they needed to have a way of removing information that was deemed to be invalid for their actual account holder, that way, people like me wouldn't be getting harassed like I had been. She said she couldn't do anything and that she had removed my information and that I need not worry about calls.
Less than 30 minutes later, on Monday I got another call from GE MONEY and LOEWS FINANCIAL on my cell phone. "Are you kidding me?" I asked. Needless to say, I was not nice to the last person, I told them that this call was the straw that broke it for me, and that I was going to follow through with my promise to report them, review them, and plaster my story all over the Internet. So, that's what I'm doing. I usually don't even write reviews online, nor do I have time to do such things. I just really feel like this is all wrong and that if I don't speak up it might continue to happen to me, and others out there.
If you find yourself in a similar situation with GE MONEY and LOEWS FINANCIAL don't wait as long as I did to start speaking up. Seriously, I tried to be nice and it doesn't cut it with these collection people. If I were you, and had it to do over again, I would have reported it to my State's Attorney General, BBB, FTC and all over the Internet from the beginning. Take my work for it, the squeaky wheel tends to get the grease.

I THIS I SYOGESH KHATRI, MY FATHER TOOK MORTGAGE LOAN OF 20, 00, 000 FROM GE MONEY 29 MONTHS BACK...EMI WAS 24151 MONTHLY WHICH WE PAID FOR ONE YEAR...AFTER ONE YEAR WE WOOK TOP UP OF 10, 00, 000, , , SO TOTAL LOAN AMOUNT NOW IS 30, 00, 000 AND WE ARE PAYING EMI OF 42112 NOW...6 MONTHS BACK WE APPLIED FOR FORECLOSURE FOR THIS LOAN THEY SAID "BEFORE 12 MONTH OF TOP UP FORECLOSURE CHARGE WILL BE 5% AND AFTER 12 MONTHS IT WILL BE 2%"
SO WE WAITED 12 MONTHS TO COMPLETE AFTER 12 MONTH I PSTED APPLICATION IN GE MONEY AS ON 22ND SEPTEMBER...THEY SAID IT WILL TAKE 10-15 DAYS FOR FORECLOSURE APPROVAL...SO I WAITED TILL 7TH OCTOBER...I HAVE 2 COMPLAINS NOW

GE Money — foreclosure charges
dear all,i have loan account no gpp[protected] & 11.i i want to close the account.i have sanction letter of 2% closer by gemoney.but lot of mails sent to them & 100 times called to authority of gemoney mr.yogesh.but there is no response.so then i search your website & see that i am not alone victim of gemoney.so please help us .find the soluation because loan amount is bigger.how can i pay ?

cheating and harrasing
I have taken a personal loan from GE- money(LAN: RNDR[protected] DELHI.First disbursal wasRs 20000/- and top-up amount was Rs 9735/-, EMI of this loan for 39 installment was Rs 1372.After some time I changed my bank and told the custmer service to take my another chaque against previous given cheques,
they demanded 500/-for each replacement of cheque. so it was not possible to give them rs 1372 +500 .
Finally we gave them almost EMI amount in cash.
After that very harassing operation taken by them.They threaten many times.I complained to the cutomer service regarding that( complain no given by them was nd[protected].In the month of
june 08 I followed by Pitampura branch for settlement and close the a/c.Name of telecaller is Ms Rupali and manager is mr Vishal dagar.They offer me to settle abaut Rs 10, 000/-, i told them Rs 7000/-. after half an hour one guy called me and said that your account is finnally settled on Rs 7600/-if you will pay today .closing day, otherwise you will have to pay 25ooo.He told me to come at Pitampura branch and pay the amt and take the settlement letter, If you are not coming then I will send our executive for the same .They send the executive to my place and collect the amt .
I take the settlement letter and gave the amoun(Rs7600).Next day when I asked Rupali to confirm the cash amount she told that we have not collected the amount.I get surprised.I contacted Mr Dager(Mgr) regarding this .Also complain to the customer service, Complain no is nd00104262 which was short out by 14 july08 .But no any response till now, last week one another girl Ishika called me to meet regarding this matter and close this.After more then 10 times call to vist the GE money office I went there then Ishika send a guy named Prakash at Ge counter .He took me in a room and demanded cash again Rs 7000/ to close this matter, I want to contact Mr Vikas Jain whom I have to meet there, he refuse to meet me .I come back without any solution.
in this case I want to attaintion the consumer complaint board that most of the cusomer cheated by the management by these means harassing the customer by different means
please look into my matter and take action against the management.

Don't think you are alone. I'm also experiencing the same situation.
I too made the final settlement, but after 3 months they sent me a letter that they are going to complain to CIBIL itseems. Stupids isn't it?
If you get more calls or letters just call media and publicize it or just talk to an higher official in GE. Hopefully he may respond
