Nature of Complaint:
At the time of my home loan disbursal, IIFL Home Finance forcibly bundled two insurance policies without providing full information or disclosure. IIFL loan Agent (Ramu) obtained OTPs from me, stating IIFL technical issues.
Upon realizing this, I immediately (with in 2 days: 23rd November 2023 | Email attached) raised a cancellation request, attaching all necessary proofs, but IIFL Home Finance refused to cancel ...Email attached)
This is a clear case of:
Forced insurance bundling without proper consent
Violation of IRDAI regulations on transparency and mis-selling
Failure to disclose policy terms at the time of issuance
Forced OTP sharing requests by IIFL loan agent during time of disbursal
Unaccounted charges collected by IIFL Loan agent(Phonepe UPI payment screenshot attached. official invoice not received)
Being Exhausted with all the mental turmoil that IIFL has put me through, I have Opted for a Home Loan Balance transfer to Another bank. It is still under process.That new lender Bank asked for Both insurance policies, following which I requested IIFL for General Insurance policy document. Even then IIFL did not respond to my request.
Relief Requested:
Immediate cancellation of both insurance policies
Full refund of premiums deducted
Appropriate penalty and action against IIFL Home Finance and involved insurers
Direction to provide the missing general insurance policy document immediately
