I gifted a Hawkins pressure cooker to my sister 2 years back and had been using it ever since, To my surprise on 6.12.11 when she was cooking rice as usual in the morning it exploded with a bang sound, The upper lid of the cooker propelled like a rocket and hit the roof ceiling and was broken into pieces whereas the lower part exploded in the opposite direction damaging the stove,luckily my sister standing close to the stove escaped unhurt...
