A friend of mine, Kemya Yanlem from Nagaland stayed in a Housr rental accommodation in Gurgaon while she was looking for Jobs. They asked for a security deposit of Rs. 30, 000/-. For the first 2 months after leaving they kept saying over call that they will return the money soon and then they stopped picking calls.

The only reason I am making the effort is because she gave up because of the stress and harassment.

As a standard procedure the management of Housr (Medanta, Sector 38) asked me to deposit 1 month rent as a security deposit, which they promised to return back after 55-60 working days.
It has been over 3 months and after multiple repetitive attempts to reach to them they haven't responded to my texts and calls.
The security deposit was around Rs 26k.

I paid Rs.72, 000 to Housr for a stay at their DLF Phase-1, Gurugram property.
The amount included one month's stay and security deposit (both Rs.36, 000).

I paid them the amount in 2 instalments, with Rs.10, 000 paid on 21st February 2023 and remaining Rs.62, 000 paid on 26th February 2023.
Due to some reason I had to vacate the property on 5th march 2023 and I initiated them of the same on 28th February.br...
