Hello,

I had given a complaint about luminous Eco wat + 1050 on April 14th. It's been almost a month and no one reached out to me. When I call customer care, they just keep saying, "we forwarded your request to our escalator".

    I bought a Luminous RC18000ST+1100 on 8th March 2021. Even before 3 months, it started malfunctioning. It is not giving any backup, when the power goes off, the system goes off. I made a complaint on 31st May, 21 over phone, and also through mail to their customercare. I got a confirmation of the complaint through SMS. Since service engineer turned up even after two days, I started following up with their customer care centre. Every time they promised to depute service engineer, but it has not happened even today, i.e. after 6 days. Now I am fed up calling their customer care every morning.

    I WOULD REQEUST EVERYONE NOT TO BUY LUMINOUS PRODUCTS SINCE THEY GIVE NO AFTER SALE SERVICE.

          But till date this problem is not solved complain number [protected] when ever i call him he says he will come but till date this problem not cleared we are a textile shop using this for emergency purpose which has to cleared with immediate effects do the need full to clear immediately with out no breathing time for me and your end expecting your conformation

            Luminous zelio ups was sold to me saying i would get a minimum 12 hour battery backup on 26th january 2017. They installed it at my house on 27th january 2017. Within a month this device stopped working well. I could not accept a ups that powers not even 2 lights for 10 minutes. I had to take up a generator for a function, on 24.02.2017, despite having inverter. I registered complaint. I registered several complaints again at the agency called emfore technologies m. C. Road, kottayam, kerala (Luminous dealers & distributors - kottayam, alleppey, pathanamthitta) - www.emforetechnologies.com
            . I could see that they closed my complaints within 24 hours of registration. It was told by them that luminous closes my complaint.
            After an enquiry at agency they told me that, only luminous care would know about if an engineer would come. The engineer who came in the month of november 2017 told me that the ups system is faulty and battery is weak. He left saying they do not have stock right now and thus closed my complaint. On 21.11.17 i registered a complaint in the number [protected], on 13.12.17 i registered complaints in the number [protected] and on 22.12.17 in the number [protected].
            But no one came and nothing happened. It was summer months again and whenever electricity went off the system beeped so high as if there was a catastrophe in the house. Still no one came and nothing happened and the whistling continued. Even though i had told the agency the first month that the supplied system was faulty, he replaced only one battery after pestering behind him for many months. Due to aging problems, it is really difficult for me to go and visit the agency every month to ask to replace my inverter system. I understand that luminous do not want to repair my ups system before the warranty period ends. I believe as a customer i have some rights to be taken care and since i have the reports i could use it to file in court.

              I booked a complaint against the non working of the inverter of LB575., Complaint no. [protected] on 18th May, 2018.after callin several time, they send technician on 21st May, 2018. He told that it was ok, only one switch was problematic and as he took service charge of Rs 250/- for that. As old lady was staying in home at that time (afternoon), she can't able to check properly . He also called menand informed that there is no problem in inverter, and due to the switch problem, it was like that. We were out of station and when we.reached, observed that nothing was corrected by the service engineer. Inverter was not working. It was not charged and during load shedding, it was not working..We tried to called customer care several time to complaint against the service, the customer care executive reject to take the complaint. After taking the service charge from us, they have not done their eorl and when we try to complant, they are refusing to take the complaint and not interested to repair the inverter.

                I brought luminous zilo 1100 4 month before and it stopped functioning now. Can't believe such quality with such a big brand. I am struggling since past 4 days with customer support & their manager to get the inverter replaced.

                Engineer scheduled the visit but didn't turned up.

                Luminous: a poor quality with a irresponsible customer support.

                  Hi there,
                  this is to inform you all that . i had purchased inverter of 1600 va in july 2014 which is still under warrenty
                  and in april i am facing problem with the inverter, it is not working .
                  on 25-05-16 i did complaint obt the product . and i was assured that the engineer will come for the visit in 2 days, but still no one has come to see the product 5 days have gone and there is no one to help me out with the problem.
                  on 3rd also i did coplain abt the product but still did not recieved a valuable feedback.

                    This has been a nighmare to get my Luminous inverter repaired from Luminious instead of nearby local shop.
                    My inverter showed some black smoke and I immediately took it to Luminious inverter service center at Mayapuri.

                    Inverter was repaired by next day; they chnaged some part and charged me Rs 800/-.

                    Very next day I went on office tour and got a cpomplain from home that battery is now dead. We asked Tyagi ji and a service engineer visited; who advised that battery needs to be chnaged.

                    We changed battery. But after some time again it stopped working. Another engineer visited and advised to send to repair centre as there was no out put. And provided us another (faulty) replacement inverter which also used to malfunction.. (used run on battery even if electricity resumes).

                    Later finally got the repaired inverter about 15 days back. Which I had to disconnect as it was not charging the battery. And continously making beep sound once in every half an hour. It only worked well (but with sounds) for 7 days.. And then Battery drained.

                    MEANS IT WAS AGAIN NOT CHARGING THE BATTERY.

                    Can you help and advise if this is right kind of service I received and what can be the solution to this? If Luminious cannot repair my inverter; I request you to help me get back my money & I shal purchase a new inverter..

                    luminous inverter battery — not received original battery

                    myself vijay verma actually there was some problem in my battery cells and i handover my battery to SIM TEL COMPUTER, M.P NAGAR branch bhopal(M.P) but after a month executive came to my shop for delivering my battery but the battery is not mine, that he is giving me someone other battery and there were saying if some problems occur in the battery then we will cooperate u.so kindly help me regarding this matter.

                    Sir,

                    I Sanjay Tomar, I had bought one inverter battery from M/s. Shyam Electronics Karaval Nagar, Delhi on dated 13/04/2010. The battery type was 16000. After one month battery was creating problem then I contacted the customer care. After lodging two complaints, service engineer came and he inspected the battery working. After inspection he realized the battery had a manufacturing defect and battery have to carry to factory for rectifying the problem. Then he again came on 30/05/2010 and picked the battery for repairing/replacing to the factory & installed a service battery as a standby option. The Battery picking CHALLAN NO. 2732 & the service battery no. is 288.

                    Still after 4 months we had not received the correct battery from the company. So, I had contacted the customer care on 15/09/2010 and filed a complaint regarding the above matter. The complaint number was DL525984 nothing happens, then again I had lodged complaint on 20/09/2010, and complaint no. was DL742971. Then on 20/09/2010 service engineer came and inspected the battery and he found that battery was not replaced and the standby battery was also not working. The service engineer who inspected the same is Mr. Yashadutt Sharma and he gave me Service Report no. DL/SR 453816 and Job no. 1651739.

                    Now, nothing happens and I am still waiting for the correct battery. I had again complaint on 24/09/10 and 28/09/10 ant complaint no. is DL 745463 and DL 747072.

                    Sir, I am totally harassed from your company and I don’t know to whom I will contact for solving my problem. I had contacted Ms. Pooja [protected], Mr. Ravinder [protected], and Mr. Anand [protected], Mr. Santosh [protected]. Now nobody receives my phone call.

                    So, I am planning to lodge an official complain in consumer court otherwise solve my problem with immediate effect.

                    The engineer visited us today and advised that beep sound was due to non charging behaviour of inverter and that is the reason battery also drained out.
                    So, he checked and replaced the faulty fuse to make it work & appears the inverter shall be now charging our bettrey well. Which will be confirmed in a a week's time or so.
                    Thanks to Luminious for a prompt action now.
                    And looking forward for the same service from you guys.

                    I bought Luminous 800 UPS SINE 800Va 2012
                    faced similar problem after replacement of motherboard for which they charged 1200 rupees here in hyderabad and after that it making beep sounds every other minute even on main supply it shows as UPSon and runs on battery power and then switches back to main supply every minute while beeping whenever it does so.

                    and when there is no power it shows that its on mains on and smart charging the battery without any output even if I disconnect from the power source it shows that its charging ang Mains on without any out put.

                    Luminous Care doesn't care for their customers even this mail Id [protected]@luminousindia is just like call center number not even a autoreply of the mail receipt till now
                    Think had suffered enough and wasted all the time and money in buying the ups and the repair bill of 1200 Rs which didn't even work 12 hours and would not not want this to happen to any one in future
                    They dont bother to inspect it before delivering it and refuse to own responsibility if it doesnt work after the serviceI
                    And I hope and pray you will take action against the service centers recklessness

                          Inverter — problem in inverter

                          i had bought an inverter.Installed in 53-b Model Town Ex,ludhiana.I am not satisfied because when ever light goes and comes back it start to get trip again and again for more than 20 minutes.When i bought it new it was alright, no problem was there.Due this tripping my water RO system and refrigerator has also got damaged.When i switch it off then there is no fluctuation but when it is in on position it starts tripping.Kindly check the problem.......................

                              Even after 2 days of installation the battery did not charge, So I called the Luminous customer care department and they sent an engineer at my home and he fixed the it but after he left the home again same problem occurs i called him and he came back and told me that he will change some plates of invertor tomorrow and after 2 days he changed it.

                              But Now again I am facing the same problem. I again complained to your customer care department and they sent the same person and he told me that he gave his feedback to his senior and the senior told me that the company will replace the product next day. But it being 2 days and no communication i get from your company side

                              I am very disappointed and feeling mentally tortured after purchasing your product as the inverter is brand new and only 2 days after purchasing the product I am facing problems. Your inverter was meant to provide relief from the power cuts but it is not doing that instead adding to my problems.

                              I now request you to replace my product which I feel is faulty and causing troubles.

                              Today i got more upset when i called to your person and asked about my complain status and he told me that Sir your complain has CLOSED. How is it possible here Customer is facing problem and waiting for solution and you have CLOSED that complain. Are your engineers giving you wrong feedback ????

                              NOTE : I have also written my problem before to you but i did not get any action on that mail if this time i will not get any solution of my problem then i m sorry to say that i will go for consumer court.

                                  i am really irritated to write this complaint again. i have called the service engineer several times but there is no proper reply from them. they haven't sent the technician till now.
                                  i am frustrated and i need refund or replace of the product. it was bought only 3 days ago.

                                  pls help me to solve this problem. the company and its product are totally useless.

                                  i have purchased luminous inverter ups - battery ( model - LX+LB) for home use before 3 days ago from saidapet " loyall battery service" but the product is faulty. it is not getting charged at all and only light blinks often. when i requested for service there is no proper response from the customer care officials. the service center also are not responding and there is only one service center in chennai and i have never seen such a worst product in my life. i request at least other service centers to respond me as soon as possible.

                                  never buy this product unless u want to waste ur time and money.
                                  I HAD SERVICE IN MARCH, THERE IS SOME PROBLEM IN IT, I HAD COMPLAINT FOR IT.

                                    I have launch a complaint on march 2011 that time service executive collect my original bill of my inverter for showing in company but till date he didn’t return that bill now after this episode my inverter showing another problem and i have launch a complaint on 21-Aug-2011with complaint no-34943 but after daily call nobody is interested in resolve this complaint.

                                    I want my inverter prize back and I will go for Consumer forum to launch a case of mantel harassment.

                                      I bought luminous inverter 800va from yashtech power solutions 261 pocket f L I G flat Dilshad garden on 5th sept 2110.It is still under warranty,it has starting malfuntioning as for last four days it is not giving electric output. I contacted customer care and lodged a complaint. for last four days I have been constantly contacting them but till today ie on 4th aug they have not turned up. At the time of selling there product they promise heavens but after selling it they turn blind eye on every complain .Even after spending our hard earned money on product and for its AMC luminous company never give the services they promise.I think they must be sued for the mental agony of customer and the worst products they sell.

I purchased the inverter on 22.7.09. But inspite of promising the technican from the firm is yet to visit my house and install the inverter.                                       My luminous Inverter was not working. Technician from your dealer saying that there is some falt in either in battery or UPS. I purchased from your authorised distributor Shri Sai Power Products, at Khanda Colony, New Panvel, Navi Mumbai. The model is Luminous 600VA L.B. Model, S. No. 481273, Battery Model is IL 18000, Sr. No. 632633, The purchase date is 8.11.2009. I have contacted the Delhi Customer Care Office yesterday. Pls tell me whether it is in the warranty period. Send the company's proper technician and confirm the falt.

                                        I purchased LUMINOUS INVERTER on 6/56/2011,last few week i feel some problem with inverter (no back up) by spending 16000+ this is one issue.as per dealer i have logged a compalint on 30/6/11 on the same they confirmed me service enginer will attend complaint on 1/7/11 between 12.00 to 3.00pm but 2/7/11 3.00pm also over no message from luminous .why these type of services available in india can i go via legally for this issue.

I was asked to solve the problem within 24 hours. But when they have not send the engineer till 12:00 Noon, than again i call them at 12:12 P.M.. Now, they replied me to send the engineer on 28/06/2011. We are facing a lot of problems due to invertor problem. Kindly look in to this matter as soon as possible. I will be very grateful to you.

                                              i had bought a luminous inverter from mahalakshmi batteries shop no 2D/15, NH 2, N.I.T, Faridabad on 26.04.10 and was given a bill no 13304 on which 24 months warranty is written.
                                              now, the inverter is not working .i have repeatedly made complaints to both shopkeeper and customer care luminous.their person comes but is unable to correct the fault.he has card changed, but problem is not shortout.i am tired of making complaints to both of them .nobody is interested in the matter. kindly tell me how to approach consumer court.i want replacement of the inverter.

You are completely right when u are saying that we visited and attended your complaint, but also we provided you three different inverters on service. still the problem persisted and we had told you then only that the problem is there in your electrical wiring ang you use heavy wattage motor on a small inverter which is beyond its capacity. Now Mr Sharma and Mr jagram, We had again provided you another inverter and you again damaged the inverter with overloading by the motor. Sir we again request you to correct the electrical circuit issue and forgive us for any poor service if provided by us.

                                                Sir, I have purchased a luminuos inverter on 12/06/2010, serial number-B2CL3P[protected] from Multi channel(garia, kolkata).Within 2 months time it started showing faults, ie within the warranty period.I lodged a complain number-UL104895, althought your company claims of resolving the problem within 48 hours it took 2 weeks for your service person to come and attend the problem inspite of several repeatative reminders.The service was not at all satisfactory.He told us some reason and wrote some other reason in the service report form, inspite of our explainations he said if this problem persists call us for a second time and left.Naturally after a few days we checked all the wiring of the house and reduced some of the loads as he suggested, still the problem exsists.In kolkata the service numbers provided to us from your head office is hardly picked up by anyone or switched off.If we call the 24 hours helpline or headoffice they refer us to kolkata centre and hardly accept to take any responsibility.I have for a second time lodged a complain, number-Ul108229.Please see that the service is provided as soon as possible & it is resolved as well instead of only doing eye wash, if necessary replace the troubleshooting machine.I heard a lot of your company so we made a decision to buy it but unfortunately viewing your service I conclude that it was a wrong decision as you people make big promises in your advertising agenda but don't fullfill it.Moreover the way our complain is being attended we feel like being cheated.I hope you belong to one of those companies for whom reputation matters a lot, so please try to solve my problem with full sincerity.                                                 First read the guidelines and manual of the product before using.Before using a product learn about the output capacity of the inverter.It is not always the manufacturer fault.Sometimes, the customers mis-handle the machine and later on blames the manufacturer. So, before complaining about the faults in the machine first go through your own faults.Later on blame the manufacturer.And let me tell you one thing, the company provides you warranty not guarantee. I am using Luminous Inverter for last four years.Till date it is running without any fault. So, it depends on the user how he or she use the thing.So, before blaming the manufacturer try to rectify your own faults of mis-handling the inverter.

                                                  I had purchased ur invertor no. A20M 277-0903 of CV-750 from TCS Trading company HUDA Panipat.

                                                  Within a few days its main ON/OFF switch was detached from its main body & hence no. of times it was requested to ur delear to get it replaced but he always replied that matter is being taking up with the company.

                                                  Now he shown his inability to replace it since the same is not availble in the company.

                                                  U will agree that chosing any product for purchase, after sale service of any company is taken into account by the customers & therefore only considering ur company's reputation I had purchased ur product but now I am feel that perhaps I have committed any mistake.

                                                  Having no other alternative , I approach ur good office to look into it & provide me the service so that my above complaint is attended without any further delay.

                                                  It is really tragic that you’re after sale service is extremely poor. The executives sitting at customer care centre are totally unconcerned and unmindful to the plight of the customers. There job is only to pass on the information / complaint to the company and are not in a position to explain as to why the complaint is not being attended to. There only stereotype reply is “sir I am again forwarding your complaint”. It is really not expected from a company of your stature that claims to be no. 1 in inverter making in the country.

                                                  I lodged a complaint about my inverter on 30.04.2008 vide complaint no. 101606 and followed it up everyday without fail. Today again i.e. 04.05.2008, I reminded your customer care centre about my pending complaint and got the assurance that it will be attended today. However, till this time i.e. 9.15 p.m. no one turned up to attend to the complaint. I am, therefore, constrained to believe that this company is only interested in selling the products and not competent at all to provide after sale service to its customers. In such a scenario, I have no option but to ventilate my grievances through the newspapers and approach consumer court for being cheated by a company claimed to be no. 1 in the line of business.

                                                  Nevertheless, I once again request you to kindly attend to the complaint immediately.

                                                    I have an apparel showroom in New Delhi and as the owner, it is important for me that my customers are happy. Since we often have power cuts in this area, I purchased a Luminous inverter for my showroom and ever since, it has become simpler to coordinate work and customers. Now I don’t have to worry a lot about power cuts, as my inverter takes care of it and I can continue with my work. The back up system is quite efficient too which helps me deliver products on time.                                                       Luminous — UPS Problems in Mains

                                                      ups occured problem after 1 or 2 hours when working , its may cut power on mains & after that it will Start after 2 or 3 hours .

                                                      from the first week it started to trip whenever electricity comes. means when the power comes after failure of some time.
                                                      i complaining from then and i m total helpless. i go to service center 4 times and they took my ups for 2 days and then returned, when i came home, , same condition.
                                                      when i pressured too much one day a person (service engineer from company) comes. he fight with ups for 4 hours then he say that ups in now OK. I believed. but in evening when power comes the ups again show its problem.

                                                      I also have Luminous inverter. I’ve never faced any problem with my inverter. Your problem appears very strange to me as Luminous is a very reliable company. Anyways all that I can suggest is that you should try speaking to Luminous team and for sure your problems will be resolved.

                                                        I purchased one Luminous Inverter of 800VA Model no.BOCL[protected] which was purchased after becoming faulty the previous Inverter no.A 2-0J 462-0303 from AD POWER SYSTEMS,120/141, lajpt nagar, kanpur-208005 through your Authorised Dealer: Exide Industrial Battery.Presently my inverter is not working from several days due to some problems,which has been communicated several times to Mr AD Dubey,but he has not provided any service till today. I think you will be able to know my problem during this hot season and what will be the use of purchasing such a branded INVERTER with branded BATTERY of EXIDE please.Such type of delayed and poor service to your permanent customers from the last ten years will certainly reflect against your goodwil in the general public.I think you will arrange for immediate rectification of my problem please.

                                                        I mr. Aziz pirani had purchased luminous inverter and battery from M. Vijay store at vasai west on[protected]. Last 15 days it is not in working. I had given the complaint to the store. They said the complaint is forwarded and with in 3 days company man will come and replace the inverter since it is in warrenty period.my complaint no. is G0028. But nobody has come last 10 days and there is only one answer from the M. Vijay store that they had forwarded the complaint. Since we are staying in Vasai and there is a load setting problem every day we are in need for an inverter.so pls consider the matter and do the needful.
