The security office of the township would mandate each of the tenants (holder of legal rent agreement) to avail citizen card that costs Rs. 150 and additionally pay a deposit of Rs. 1000 that is refundable. The deposit payment receipt states that the refund of deposit should be collected by tenant in a months time from expiry of the citizen card by presenting the receipt of deposit payment .

I have been residing in Magarpatta...

There has been an increase in nuisance of dog attacking bike riders and people going for walk at Aditi Gardens. I have been attacked by dogs twice this month near Annexe Society while I was returning back from a walk at night when 3 dogs gathered around me started barking incessantly. Similar thing happened a month back. I have seen this dogs chasing bike riders at Aditi Gardens as well. There are a lot of speed breakers which are risky for bike riders trying to get away from these dogs chasing them.

Now there are multiple levels of the complaint. I registered a complaint to marb regarding high bill charges and it's been three weeks that the ticket is still I'm open state and no action has been taken for it.
I am resident of magarpatta city, pune and so I went to Magarpatta electricity office for resolution. The staff there is not helpful at all. I registered request for meter check and they put a meter along with mine to check reading. They said they will check for 7 days. Instead of 7 days they kept it for two weeks and I had to again go to office to ask them for updates. The lady there was cleaning the office while I was talking. They should know how to do their job. It was Saturday and she said ok on Monday we will take meter. I asked them to do today so they said we have to do pooja for navratri. What kind of idiotic excuse is that. I had to really push them to do the job that they are hired for.
I then filed a couple complaint to check for fault meter reading the same day and paid 236 rs. They said it will take couple of days for response and they will call me. It's been 6 days and nothing has happened. I called them on Wednesday (28 oct) and asked for status they told me they will call me back in evening. But they din. I called them on Thursday they again said the lady is not here. I asked them to give me reference number for query so that I can find status online so the angry person on the phone started yelling - don't tell me how to do my duty. When are you planning to give behavioural training to these goons. Anger management classes should be taken for them. Had they been doing there jobs properly there would not have been any issues. I was just asking for reference number what was wrong in that and then like kids they cut the fone and since yesterday I have called them numerous times they are not picking phone. I am not their relative that they have stopped picking phone. It is their job and duty to cater to customers complaints. They are paid for it. We pay taxes to pay such useless people? Getting angry for asking reference number? Are you kidding me.
This is unacceptable and action should be taken. Take them to some classes .

I am staying in a rented apartment at heliconia 2.
My home facing is just opposite to cuccon hotel.
Since yesterday i. E 9th march i have been hearing huge machinery noises from morning till night. May be they shifted their chimney or something i don't know. But noise of machinery is very disturbing and affecting our normal routines and sleep. My wife is a housewife she is not able to get good sleep and at peace because of this noise and thereby affecting her physically and mentally. And this sound does not allow her to have a good sleep and is really disturbing.
Other than also in cuccon hotel there is always someone work going on (Civil work/carpentry...) which is also very noisy.
I would sincerely request you to help in getting this fixed and help us in getting some mental peace which we expect.

I don't understand why do i have to pay for magarpatta city card. This should not be mandatory. I believe the reason behind having an id card is to show proof that you are part of magarpatta society. I am a resident of magarpatta city as well. I am a woman and i stay as a tenant there.
And i don't have the id card. The guards at my society gate always ask me about the card and i have shown them ample proof in the past and all the guards know that i stay in that society only.
But they stop me every time and talks very rudely. Its like they are forcing us to get a card which i think is unnecessary. Plus they already know that i stay here.
Also, they have the list of all the residents and i am showing them all the proof they need. With that, they should let me in without any issue. But it's not happening at all.

The reason i am writing this is that recently the issue got more serious and a few days back i came late at night from office. At the entrance, the guard already realized that it was me, but instead, he closed the gate. When i horned for a couple of time, they opened the door and immediately started asking about id. I told them that you already know that i stay here and i don't have an id card. Hearing that he began shouting and started talking to me very rudely. I was alone and very tired from work and the time was very late at night. He did not let me in for almost 10-15 minutes. He forced me to write all the reason for not getting a card on the entrance book. As i was alone and there was no one around from society, i could not do anything. I did what they asked and left as soon as i can. I was very afraid of what they might do.
No one has ever talked to me like that before. It was like i did something very bad. Like i am a terrorist there.

It felt like i was a foolish woman who always said that i am safe at a place like magarpatta city. But i was wrong. This is totally #. The magarpatta city guards are #. They are hooligans in blue dress employed to force you to follow their made up rules. They will do whatever they can to intimidate you. This happened with my friend as well from another society.
I am fed up and don't think magarpatta is a safe place because of some of these guards.
It felt like that magarpatta card decides how you will be treated by the magarpatta security. Even if you have all the government id proofs and cards to prove your identity.

Also, i believe the magarpatta security officials have given freedom to security guards to act like this. So that they can force us to pay them the card money.
I have one of the interactions with guards recorded. And i think after hearing that you will understand the increasing severity of the situation.

I was moving out of magarpatta on the 1st feb 2019.. My resident card had expired on sept 19th 2018.
I had a genuine reason for not renewing the card, due to the nature of my work i wasn't in pune until january 26th 2019.

I went to admin office with all the documents they asked for.
1. Receipt of 1000/- deposit payment for the card.
2. Letter from company as to why i was not in pune.
3. Written application asking for deposit refund.

They said they will refund it in 2 to 3 days.
I have been following up since then and they havent yet refunded my 1000/- amount. Each time i go there or call them they give some stupid excuse.. Officer on leave.. Officer hasnt come etc etc..
Those 2 -3 days is becoming a month now.

I have lost all hope of getting any refund from these people.

Anyone has any other idea or means of getting my money back.. Plz suggest.

The parking fee collectors at destination center in magarpatta city are assh*les literally. Firstly, they dont provide receipts of parking and as per rules the vehicle is allowed to be parked in the premises for 2 hours. I returned in 10 minutes to collect my parcel and he asks for the parking fees again. I explained it to him that i already payed him the fees and he didnt provide me the challan. He raises his voice and starts abusing me. I mean wtf!!
If i weren't in my office working hours, bc i would for surely reply to your abuses on ur face with words and hands.
This unethical behavior of staff in dc parking is not accepted. They rule as if they are doing us a favor.
Kindly escalate this to a higher level and make sure this doesnt happen again.

Like Kapil Sharma, they are unable to digest and react to their stardom and react crazily. Magar’s dictate their own terms and they have their own law of the land within the perimeter of 360 Acers of their Kingdom.
No Doubt, what Magar’s have produced is a world class infrastructure, an integrated lush green, sparkling clean township with state of the art amenities, they are extremely possessive and have kept very orthodox and rigid terms for their users both office space and residential buyers.
 The security Dept. is controlled and governed by Magar’s and some of the loyal Security guards who wear Safari Suites, have been empowered so much that they can even invade China and free the DoKolam plateau!!! Moral policing of bachelors, women’s, maid servants, students with respect to ID, Access, entry and exit is a common scene on a daily basis. Magar’s security norms are inspired by Hollywood flick Mission impossible!!! You will constantly have a feeling that you are residing in a residential colony of a Nuclear submarine manufacturer. Poor security guards, most of them are hired from 3rd Party security agencies get a net partly salary of 7-8 k PM and an amount of Rs 780 is deducted and kept with their employers which they claim is PF, which is never the fact rather it acts as a caution money. Mind you, the guards work on 12 Hours shift x 7 days x 365 days. So be sensitive to them at least no matter even if they act according to the whims and fancies of Magar’s.
 One has to pay Rs 350 to get an Access card (per family member) for a period of 11 months with a deposit of Rs 1000 !!! Mind you it is year after year and not one time. Even the poor maid servants who wish to work in household of the “Pride of Pune” must obtain Access card by paying fees and they are subject to strict scrutiny everyday. The Cab drivers who wish to do business with top IT companies within the premises are supposed to register by paying 1000 and must also pay fees for getting Access card and sticker.
 To install your own DTH, you need to take permission of PMS and pay a deposit of Rs. 1000 Wow. However, if you go for DTH empanelled by Magar’s its going to be easy but expensive.
 The PMS (Property Management system) is an amazing office and Magar’s have been able to employ the most dedicated and trustful woman employees who eat, speak, breath and talk in Magar’s language. You will never feel you are talking to employees but the Magar’s themselves. Everything is computerised and tax paid bills, estimates etc are taken upfront. The women employees in dress code are strict, rarely smile, talk business and are tactful.
 Now for the buyers who have brought properties, they own only the carpet area within their main door and rest all space is controlled and managed exclusively by the Magar’s. Your ownership and slice of “Pride of Pune” is limited within your own apartment only. Once you step out of your door, you enter Magar owned dynasty. Tenants, Vendors are 2nd Citizen at Magar’s abode and are usually treated shabbily as Magar’s don’t directly earn from them.
 As if the crores worth of income what Magar’s are earning was not enough, they have outsourced Parking to vendors and make handsome money in Parking space as well. Not even a single inch of Magar’s land is free, even the Aditi Garden is open only for Citizens and outsiders who would wish to feel the “pride of Pune” are not allowed. Earlier the parking fee structure was simple with Rs.5 for 2 wheelers and Rs.10 for 4 Wheelers, however as the asset value and pride of Magar’s grew with time, they have now come up with time slots for parking and have almost doubled/Trebled the fees.
 The newspaper vendor too has a unique Model to offer. He charges Rs. 300 as caution money and does not maintain any records. Since there is only 1 vendor authorised by Magar’s after charging fees from them as well, you have no choice.
 The housekeeping staff too works on enforcing the Supreme court directives of 2000 and can direct you to have the garbage segregated into wet and Dry and to put it much before stipulated time. Otherwise, take back the stinking garbage and wait till next day.
 And yes within the 360 Acers township you do have one way roads as well, Amazing, isn’t it ? If you violate, then your vehicle will be towed away and a penalty will be imposed which will be purely at the discretion of the Magar’s.
 The Destination Centre, which they brand it as a “Cool Place” is also 100% occupied and every vendor here has achieved their ROI and customer is never the king in these shops. Don’t argue, if you are interested, please buy or go away. No one questions the exuberant charges. That’s not the culture here. If you wanna bargain, go to Hadapsar Mandi nearby.
 Magar’s do have a school of their own affiliated to Vidya Patishthan BARAMATI 😊 where they prefer admission only to the residents who have brought properties in their township, the administration too is closely monitored by Magar’s. The School principal is allegedly a dictator here and monitors the staff closely hence the teachers must fear and respect him.
 Magar’s tried their hands on running a Management school, but Alas, a Business school initiated by Farmers did not run and the idea flopped, I believe this is the only failure they had. But Magar’s are way too smart to convert the adversities into opportunities as they rented the premises to VIBGYOR High and got back their ROI.
 There are over 60 Pre Schools mushrooming inside the townships, in 2014 Magar’s suddenly realised that this is an area where people are making profits and they were not getting anything out of it, in a helter skelter, Satish, who owns a big influence on media (Also appears on page 3 quite often), published a paid article in Times of India raising concerns on illegal schools in residential premises citing threats to students !!! Thus he brought down over 60 vendors on their knees for not caring the interests of Magar’s. Wow. Subsequently, legal notices were served to each of the schools, and, as I am given to understand, that the matter was resolved after a royalty was promised back to Magar’s. That’s business Acumen 😊. Three years down the lane, as of now all schools still exist, have flourished and few more have sprung and Magar’s concern for the safety of kids has vanished.
 Magar’s are so influential, that an incident of alike to Nirbhaya happened in their own Jasmanium where a female cook was R**** and M******* by a gang of 5 to 7 residents, but the news was put under the wraps with such a precision and no media or TV published it as otherwise it would have dented the “Pride of Pune”.
 Even Gods needs to follow the Magar’s protocol as during the Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav, only residents holding ID cards are allowed. At the Mahalakshmi temple next to Cosmos, you must highly disciplined bhakt otherwise you get lecture from Poojari Baba. Festivals like Holi and Diwali must be celebrated outside the societies, if you dare inside, the guards will shoo you away.
 Like Magar’s, many real estate agents have become millionaires, thanks to the “Pride of Pune”, the DC has maximum number of posh Real estate agencies who manage office space, residential and PG so meticulously that their dashboard, hanging on the walls would put an IITan to shame.
 The Magar’s get huge royalty on a regular basis on the resale of flats, ( Magar’s charge approx. 3, 00, 000 plus Service Tax which they call Enhanced Development fees) which reflects with the fact that each of the 120 Magars owns branded top notch cars, bikes more than one in number which can be seen parked in various societies, some farmers even maintain tractors inside the societies 😊. Buffaloes ?? No No, I didn’t see any of them 😊
 The Magar’s own mall, the Seasons too is one of the most expensive malls and Magar’s leave no stones unturned to compete with Ammanora Mall, just opposite of the road. Often Magar’s invite Bollywood celebrities and big Ad’s are given in media which is their USP.
 Come elections, and you will receive pamphlets delivered at your doorsteps appealing to vote for Tupe’s (NCP) as both Satish Dada and Nilesh Dada support NCP as it was Sharad Rao ji who approved their project when he was the CM of Maharashtra. Nilesh Dada is the blue eyed right hand to Satish Dada. It’s no joke or exaggeration as Nilesh Dada actually is a tall, handsome guy having bright and Blue shiny eyes 😊
 The “Pride of Pune” is so fascinating that various films and advertisements have been shot here which include the big names in Bollywood including superstar Rajanikanth. Jokes do a round that Magarpatta gained popularity only because Rajanikanth liked this place !!!
 Now Magar’s are coming up with Five star hotel of their own, building neighbourhood by name Annex and replicating the Magarpatta story by means of Nanded City on Sinhgad road. Way to go lucky Sugarcane farmers, you indeed have given a great business model (aka mindset) to the world.

Security head of magarpatta behaviour ruins all the positive things.
I am tenant of magarpatta since 4 years.
I was bringing my fiance to my society garden to make her see my beautiful society garden.
But he security head of magarpatta didn't allow me to take her to my society gate.
He randomly visit any society in magarpatta and misbehave with everyone, specially girls.
He along with other security guards...

I am a tenant of Zinnia H society and it has been a real torture to face a senior security guard, who is always frustrated and angry. always trying to make new rules and stop me and my guests for questioning.

i tried very politely to make up with him many time as its just this 1 guys but he is just unbearably rude and aggressive, I request urgent action against him to protect the peace of society.

I am just tired of nonsense rules of Magarpatta city! First and foormost I would like to complaint on false practice of mandatorily having Magarpatta city CARD. Imagine this applied to all cities of India. You will have hadasar city CARD, Thane city CARD, Yerwada city CARD.

I think this issue needs to be taken with Indian government that inspite of having Adhaar and Pan card these guys ask for Magarpatta city CARD!!!...

Well i am living here since last 4 years but had seen very bad experience of security personals and if you complain about it no-one will listen you. you might be misbehaved, abused or beaten as well. just one reason to stay here my office is near, can't handle traffic issue outside and no lagging of transport problem in pune. now decided to stay near by society just 5 minutes walk, and rent is almost 30 % less.

I am not sure but how magarpatta city allowed people to smoke at a bus stop. Moreover, its on footpath and people has to suffer a lot because of this . I donot think sophisticated employees (who smoke) have some civic sense. Can I request Magarpatta city officials to take action against this smoking at public place. I have already complained about at security office but sems they are least interested in solving resident's problems

I stay at Annexe building of Magarpatta so called Posh area of Pune city . Guests are not allowed after 10 pm even if you have some urgent work even you provide there identity for entry and take their responsibility. **you feel like a Jail over there **
So many incidents happened with me and with my friends as shared below
1) I had a dinner party organized in my flat , I informed the security and neighbors too that too even though security guards are bugging us in every hour by sating not to make noise. we were not playing any loud music at all . The most embarrassing thing was when he called a security head at around 12 midnight and he asked me to empty the my flat and guest who don't have Annexe card .. That was obvious that they don't have because they were my guests and when i asked him to show me the notice or complaints he just called a police and took bribe from us .
2) I had a flight at 3 am in the night my fiance came to pick me up from flat . They didn't allowed to enter him the premises although he had a card of cosmos that is in Magarpatta only . The reason was so funny , he said he got a order from his head that "were girls live boys are not allowed" .
I told him he is not coming to my flat just coming to pick me up . I asked him to talk to my owner or my parents he denied. When security head arrived when my fiance requested to him , he told me "Ja jana hai toh police station main complain kar de ". I got to know that this rule is made by them without any formal printed notice. They says Police only told them not to allow boys in girls flat or girls in boys flat after 10 pm although he may be your brother .In our the Constitution of India contains the right to freedom, given[19] in articles 19, 20, 21 and 22, with the view of guaranteeing individual rights that were considered vital by the framers of the constitution . Who are they do make rules ??

The right to freedom in Article 19 guarantees the following six freedoms:[20]

Freedom of speech and expression, which enable an individual to participate in public activities. The phrase, "freedom of press" has not been used in Article 19, but freedom of expression includes freedom of press. Reasonable restrictions can be imposed in the interest of public order, security of State, decency or morality.

Freedom to assemble peacefully without arms, on which the State can impose reasonable restrictions in the interest of public order and the sovereignty and integrity of India.

Freedom to form associations or unions on which the State can impose reasonable restrictions on this freedom in the interest of public order, morality and the sovereignty and integrity of India.

Freedom to move freely throughout the territory of India though reasonable restrictions can be imposed on this right in the interest of the general public, for example, restrictions may be imposed on movement and travelling, so as to control epidemics.

Freedom to reside and settle in any part of the territory of India which is also subject to reasonable restrictions by the State in the interest of the general public or for the protection of the scheduled tribes because certain safeguards as are envisaged here seem to be justified to protect indigenous and tribal peoples from exploitation and coercion.[21] Article 370 restricts citizens from other Indian states and Kashmiri women who marry men from other states from purchasing land or property in Jammu & Kashmir.[22]

Freedom to practice any profession or to carry on any occupation, trade or business on which the State may impose reasonable restrictions in the interest of the general public. Thus, there is no right to carry on a business which is dangerous or immoral. Also, professional or technical qualifications may be prescribed for practising any profession or carrying on any trade.

The constitution also imposes restrictions on these rights. The government restricts these freedoms in the interest of the independence, sovereignty and integrity of India. In the interest of morality and public order, the government can also impose restrictions. However, the right to life and personal liberty cannot be suspended. The six freedoms are also automatically suspended or have restrictions imposed on them during a state of emergency.

i am working in an MNC in magarapatta city, hadapsar pune. This city itself have many apartment societies and as police verification is a must to stay here we need to get the approval of the police on a form. These guys 3 years back used to charge around 50 per form and now they are charging 250 odd rupees per person. As we all know bribe is a undetachable aid to police, thier exploitation is increasing a lot. moreover whenever we need to move to a new society in the same magarapatta township, we also need to go for verification again. Advise me to stop these stupid police exploits.

The parking charges levied by Magarpatta City are heavy, i.e. Rs. 5 for two wheeler & Rs. 10 for 4 wheeler. And the shocking thing is the parking ticket taken at the SEZ area is not accepted in the commercial complex (Destination Center) area. You have to pay Rs. 5 again & take another ticket if you want to part your two wheeler for even 5 minutes only.

The shocking event took place on 29 Jan 2011. One of my friends drove to Parking of Tower-3 in Cybercity with his Bike. Where though he had Company ID and Parking Badge properly visible security guards stopped him from entering into the Parking as he didnot have cybercity sticker on his bike. The Guards did not behave properly so he called their supervisor called RAMESH Updadhay ( Supervisor CBRE) who responded even more rudely saying - " He is not wife of 45000 employee working here ; go and talk to your company". This irritated My friend who went into argument with him and drove off with saying "Go to hell".

Then he parked in general Parking in front of Tower 3 and walked to his company AVAYA. The security guard from the parking Gate Rushed to him and grab him by collar and said " Tu sale hamare Ramesh sir se aise bolta hai" . My friend was completely taken by surprised, he never expected this. Suddenly some more Security guys rounded him and Ramesh was seen approaching /shouting all kinds of Indian Abuses ; as soon as he reached my Friend , he slapped him and punch him on the face, soon security guards started to thrash and abuse my Friend. My Friend took out his mobile to make a call but security Guards held his hand forcefully. This went on for about 10 mins.

Luckily another AVAYA employee was just coming to office that time, he noticed that something was going wrong. He approached my friend and asked him what's going on - "They are beating me up" he said in despair.

Soon about 30 AVAYA employees came down to save their colleague then only these Guards disappeared from the scene. Then they called Ramesh to come up and discuss the matter. Instead of that few mins later 2 Goons showed, as soon as they came they started saying “Who dared to call us ..”. They without any provocation started abusing AVAYA employees which lead to a bitter verbal argument as Avaya employee were getting agitated by these goons who were in official CBRE dress.
The Arguments heated further but Magarpatta security officer who came there only tried to disperse Avaya crowd instead stopping the Guys to misbehave. The Situation became tense and tense untill it reached close to manual fighting and then only Magarpatta security officer begged the goons to get in a Security Car and taken him off.

The incident has been reported to Hadapsar Police station as well as Avaya has logged a Formal Complaint with Satish Magar.

Still there is no action from Magarpatta, the RAMESH is still sitting in the CBRE office , the Security Guards still can be seen at the gate of Tower 1 and Tower 3. And the Goons are still visible in the standard CBRE dress within the Cybercity.

On 1st Dec’10 my friends and I had a torturing and humiliating experience with Magarpatta Security force who are supposed to comfort local residents. I am writing this with a great disappointment as I used to believe magarpatta city as one of the nicest thing has happened to India and used to trust on its administration. But my friends’ and mine faith was shattered on the evening of that day.
