I bought my E class in 2018. Had to get my cars right doors painted because of a minor accident in 2020. Surprisingly now after 2 yrs in 2022 the color shades turn different. The company paint has turned pale white where as the re painted part has turned bright white. My car looks like an old fiat car. When complaint was raised, even Mercedes’ representative Mr Saurabh wasn’t able to solve the problem rather they are asking me to get the entire car painted. I have extended warranty, service packs taken, insurance taken, never got my car even touched outside except the authorized service center of auto hangar. But they have no explanation to my issue rather again trying to extract money from me. Never ever buy a Mercedes’ in india. BMW in these aspects is much better. There was never any color difference in their color code. I have been using a BMW for last 11 years.
Mercedes support in india is pathetic.

    Silver Star Mercedes service center in Hyderabad is represented by Faizal Service advisor.

    My GLE 250D is September 2017 model and driven 32272 KM.
    Faizal sent me a service quote of Rs, 1, 13523/-
    I refused all services except engine Oil and filter change. He still added windshield washer Rs.471 and brake fluid Rs.3031. and scheduled Service A Plus 45000KM or 3 years for Rs.20119. I asked what is included in it, he mentioned few check this check that, which were worthless in my opinion. he said if I just charge for oil change only I will not reset the Service Message POP UP.
    I said I am doing oil change service and you reset that message. He refused to do unless I opt for scheduled Service A Plus 45000KM or 3 years for Rs.20119.
    Which I feel is ridiculous service approach.

    I expect the Service Message POP UP reset when we do any kind of service. I do not want them to push for extra services when customer refuses it based on his due diligence on the internet.

        I am holding a GLA and I had given it to Ram Autobahn Mercedes and as per their request opted for Rs. 184552/- service pakage and to my shocking surprise the car was delivered in very shabby way all interiors having stains whereas I had done Rs 85000/- interior exterior ceramic coating treatment but it was all messed up, moreover the service wasn't up to par by Mercedes standard by any standards, the underbody cover shield wasn't available and promised in 4-5 days which never came, car again went for brake pads work even after service was done immediately within 1000km done again it was surprising, no standards maintained, on top of it the body sound in rear isn't yet resolved again same noise coming and it was covered up with same SORRY is this Mercedes culture? I am totally unsatisfied and annoyed car going and staying for 4/5 days and no work done after taking such a huge amount of our hard earned money? Should we take media and consumer court help for getting justice? will await for 2/3 days for resolving this issue and action against the guilty and rectification to our interiors and exteriors damaged

          Hello

          I strongly recommend don't waste your money on Mercedes Benz Product.

          My Case:

          While driving on national highway, my Benz Car suddenly stopped in middle of road and the handle got locked. Fortunately, I was behind a heavy vehicle and my speed was approx 40 KMPH.

          I tried calling customer care, but the worlds best car customer care were not able to support me for almost 90 minutes.

          After 20 mins the car started and I slowly started driving to service center, but after few KM, the engine was locked again.

          Highly qualified engineers from BENZ were not able to diagnose the problem and after some trial and errors, they said vehicle is ready for delivery almost after a month time.

          As this was a serious problem and it would had turned fatal and next time when i am driving my cars this will be always back of my mind and so I wont be able to drive freely. Therefore, I just asked for one simple confirmation in written, that the problem has resolved and similar problem will not arise again.

          For which the BU Bhandari technician, refuse to give stating that we are not authorized, even after speaking with Benz sr. technical manager, he also denied that he cant assure this.

          Its really unfortunate the way a world best brand has handled my case.

          No respect for customers sentiment and not even ready to listen and accept the fault in vehicle.

          The support team is very adamant and unfortunate were not even able to identify the problem, even after explaining the case.

          Worst decision of my life, that I bought a luxury car frpm Mercedes Benz for safety and peace of mind, but it in turned ruined my mental peace.

          The management least bother on customer safety and satisfaction?

          It's really a mental torcher from BU BHANDARI and Mercedes Benz team.

            unprofessional conduct of dealer global star auto

            I had purchased a mercedes benz c class (C-200) variant vehicle on 09.08.2020. I am sorry to say this but mbil's dealer global star auto puts the customers' interest at the end.             Reason for complaint: denial by the dealer.

            I have booked a vehicle with silver arrows and unfortunately covid -19 / lockdown situation came in between. I asked and request my dealer m/s silver arrows (Noida) to return my money for the time being, which ultimately is being used by them and i m bearing and paying interest.

            No proper response has been heard so far and it's surprising being such a renowned dealer of your company is acting so cheaply.

            They claim no actions & activities are happening in the lockdown period, which i appreciate.

            At the same time, i also demand bank statements else wish to get the status of the operation of bank accounts of this period with the help of rti.
            In case if dealer is telling lie, your dealer shall be liable to bear the entire interest paid by me so far.

            I want my demanded funds back with interest from scheduled dt of delivery. Asap.

            Otherwise, i will claim interest from dt of delivery committed - till dt of actual delivery by taking up the matter legally if required.

              Tnt motors service centre mayapuri had an accident with my car and damaged its bumper while the car was with them for electrical repair work of screen though i have purchased a car just a month ago. Whats the use of buying brand new car when the company centres are not responsible after selling. I need my bumper to be changed and no repaint as it will decrease the value of the car
              Such a pathetic customer care service
              I need compensation for this as early as possible

                Dear sir/ madam,

                This is in regard to my mercedes e class rj 19 ch 0006 for which i am availing the service package for 60000 km or 3 years whichever is earlier.

                The fact of the matter is that on 21st jan 2019
                I had sent my car for servicing (With 57800 km reding) to tnt motors jaipur and i was assured the service manager mr akshay gaur that the car will be serviced completely within the package as its iv service is due and the vehicle will be returned in a day or two. The car was with tnt motors for almost a weeks time saying that car has been completely serviced.

                To my utter shock and surprise, even after servicing of the vehicle, i was getting the message service due in the car automated system. When i spoke to the service manager mr akshay god explained that the complete servicing is done but was convincing me that i should get the car back for 20 minutes after two or three weeks.

                With no other option left, i had to send the car again on 25th february and was informed that the car will be returned within 20 minutes as they are well aware of all the issues in the vehicle. I was taken aback when i was informed that no servicing was done last time, i need to pay complete servicing charges as the package has expired.

                Even the estimate of the schedule work was shared with me on 27th february where as the vehicle was send to them on 25th february itself.

                The irony of the matter is that on one hand my vehicle was unnessarily kept in the workshop for a weeks time and on other hand on the pretext of minor pending work, my car is again invited in the workshop thereafter which i am not only told that no servicing was done last time by the workshop but also arbitrallly imposed me with frivolous bill.

                Gauging this type of attitude behaviour from the workshop, i am very sceptic about the quality of service and i am scared that in order to extract unnecessary money from me, servicing may not be so appropriate which would not only affect my mental peace but could also be dangerous.

                Even after complaining to mercedes benz pvt. Ltd. Nothing actually happened other than receiving a aknwoldge email.

                  This is my second gla. The first one had be written off in 15 months time because the engine seized due to driving in a small puddle of water.
                  My second gla has been towed 4 times in 10 months time. Once due to battery connectivity lose, second again due to water entering the engine (This time i took a video. I’ve attached it here) and twice due to rodents attack.
                  There are 4 other cars parked in my parking space. Rodents are attacking only my gla. This the second time they have chewed the wires to the sensors. And both the time it on the left side under the bonnet.
                  Is there any issue with the way the car is manufactured so there is an entry point to the engine compartment from that side? And why are the rodents attacking only the mercedes. Is the material used by mercedes for their parts attracting rodents. It is a great disappointment that a company know for their design has not taken this issue when launching their car in india.
                  Can someone let me know if you look at the video you will see cheaper cars going through the same puddle without any issue.
                  I believe i’ve been cheated by merc. When they told me the car was built to suit indian roads. They should actually stop selling their cars here.

                    I have a huge issue going on with mercedes regarding c200 on two counts

                    1. Jadderring noise when brake is not fully pressed or released as required in bumper to bumper traffic!

                    2. Sreeching noise from steering when it is fully turned lhs or rhs when car is stationary, in p mode or d mode with brake pressed!

                    Mercedes-benz claims both are characteristic of the car!

                    My point is how noise can be characteristic?

                    I have asked them if it’s characteristic then they should include them in test drive, booking sheet & make customer expressly aware regarding the same!

                    The matter has been escalated to dr zetsche‘ office as well mr folgers office!

                    Funny thing is that they sent me glc & e-class, the noise exists in these 2 varients as well! That can’t be a justification!

                    Mercedes uses absolute superlatives while describing their cars such as

                    - best or nothing
                    - their mission statement says their goal is "delight of drivers"
                    - perfection was never a milestone
                    - masterpiece of intelligence

                    Noise does not fit in any of these superlatives used & hence they use misleading, deceptive & illusive descriptions of their capabilities& car!

                      My car has gone for a service and a checkup yesterday. It seems that there is some leakage for coolant and engine oil due to which they might have to keep my car for more than a week as they dont have the parts handy.

                      I wanted you to know and may be convey my issues to the management so that they can provide me a backup car asap.

                      1. Morning my kid drop to school has to be done by me. Today i will have to take a cab and then back home

                      2. Gym... I have to take a cab there and back home.

                      3. Office... I have to take a cab from home to office.

                      4. I have everyday meeting at headquarters chandigarh for serious projects. I have to take a cab there.

                      5. I have to then get back to office by taking a cab again.

                      6. Again take a cab to go home from office.

                      7. Drop my kid to tennis class by taking a cab.

                      8. Picking up my kid from tennis class by taking a cab.

                      9. Tuition class drop by taking a cab.

                      10. Picking up from tuition by taking a cab.

                      I will end up taking cab 10 times and more. I humbly request to provide me alternate vehicle asap.

                      One year ago, i was provided with demo car. While on my way from office, the left tyre of the gla busted. I merely escaped alive as i was on a highway in mohali. Panjab motors tried to put claim of that damaged car on me. All they cared about was their demo car instead of me being alive.

                      Today i have been pushing them to get me a demo car but their hod, neeraj told me that they don’t have demo car available and even if they had it, they will not give it to me.

                      I never expected this from star family.

                      I will tell this tale to every friend of mine how panjab motors is treating me as a mercedes owner.

                        This is in regards to my mercedes gla 200 d purchased in 2016.

                        The car is in warranty and i have also taken a service package.

                        While travelling on the highway recently the most shocking incident happened. The rear spoiler of the car has come off and flown away. I had never imagined this could happen with a brand like mercedes.

                        I have shown my car at auto hangar, saki vihar road, mumbai, india.

                        I was told that they will need to insepct the car and will need the car to check. After insepction of the car i receive a call and mail stating that there are screw driver marks on place where the spolier is fitted and someone has tried to remove the spoiler. I do not agree on this and nothing of this sort has happened.

                        Also if this was the case why was this not highlighted when the car was taken for inspection. The acknowledgement i have received does not mention all this. So how do i believe this.

                        I had never expected such a service from mercedes benz. Do you think will ever recommend someone to invest in mercedes.

                        Also i was informed that i will be receiving a call from the hod, but nobody calls up in return unless i call them.

                        The vehicle is at the workshop for a week now. I would request you to kindly look into to this urgently. Also as mentioned above the car is in warranty and also have a service package.

                        I want this to be looked into immediately and have the spoiler fitted at your end and hand over the car at the eatliest. As a customer this is the least that i can expect.

                          I'm deeply shocked today.
                          I had sent my car ts 07 fc 7209 for repair to mahavir auto secunderabad last week.
                          I received a call today from service advisor mr. Ravi [protected] informing me that my brake pads are worn out and needs to be replaced.
                          I told him that it should not be the case as i was not getting any sensor alert on the display to change the brake pads when the car was with me. He started threatening me that he will manipulate with my car parts if i don't get the brake pads changed.
                          I was shocked to hear this. It was the first time i was hearing such a thing. I told him that i will complain to his higher authority.
                          He challenged me and said that nothing will happen and i can go and complain anywhere. He seemed so arrogant and confident like this is something very regular at their workshop.
                          I don't know what to say about this incident. I think people have lost their minds for small commercial benefits they are behaving in such a way. I have decided to post this story on every social media site and if possible i will go to court on service manipulation.
                          What has happened is completely unacceptable. I regret choosing mercedez benz for my luxury car brand.
                          I think i would get better treatment with other better brands like audi and bmw.
                          I will tell all my friends and relatives not to buy mercedez benz and opt for other brands.
                          I hope i can replace my car soon so that i dont face such shameful treatment from your service advisors.
                          Send complaint to higher authority in Company with a copy to MD, board of directors, zonal manager, assistant zonal manager, regional zonal manager.
                          Soon you will get fruitful result of your complaint.

                            I regret to inform that i am highly disappointed with my mercedes benz gla - tn13 l 1000 purchased from trans car, ambattur, chennai.
                            Since, the purchase of my car i have a bad odors in my car. The car stinks, and it is unpleasant for all the passenger and it is highly harmful for health.

                            I have complained 3-4 times since then but they refused to accept, even after a regular service check smell remained, and later when i complained again they said the air filter had to be changed for about 10k, which was paid for and got it changed (In 1st year of purchase of my car)

                            But after a few days, the bad odor was back but it was only when the car was switched on.
                            Now on complaining, they are saying there is rat poop in the specific areas of the ac and that is the reason causing the smell. But this is the problem i have faced since my purchase of my car!!
                            I have 4 cars parked in the same place and how is it that the most expensive car would have rat poop on the ac parts?

                            Now, the transcar service advisor is compelling me to apply insurance as it is covered in my insurance policy as cost for rectifying the issue is coming up to rupees one lakh!

                            Highly disappointed with the service and quality of mercedes!

                            A bad experience since the purchase of my car, if the same is not rectified i wouldn't hesitate to take legal action against mercedes and trans car.

                              The service station is pathetic in kolkata. They give appointment date for the car and keep it for weeks. No responsible person to give a feedback have to call back again and again for the work to get completed.
                              Tryes are pathetic have to replace 2 tryes with my own cost within 2 years of purchase.
                              This will be my first and the last mercedez car ever to be purchased.
                              My music system gets on and off frequently have send the car it’s there for days and none have given information as to when it will get completed.
                              Left front mirror clip got broken they can’t give the estimate for the same, saying that their system is down for last 2 days..
                              Thanks for fooling us to purchase the # products of mercedez.
                              The name doesn’t says it all.

                                I am highly disappointed by mercedes benz india,
                                When i went to take a test drive of your suvs at an off road track facility, i was told a clear no that you cannot test drive our products without any invitation!.

                                So i think that mercedes benz is not supporting their young buyers.
                                If you will not allow us to experience your products than how can you convince us to buy your products?

                                Your existing customers are only allowed to enjoy the off road experience.

                                I am totally disappointed with this behaviour of "mercedes benz india"

                                    I have bought gla 200 cdi sport from b u bhandari pune within 2 month of purchase my car showing massage rectify tyre pressure again and again when i told to the b u bhandari service there answer was this can happen with suv u have to check your tyre pressure on regular basis but whenever i went to outside my tyre get pictures i face much problems in that days i was show them bubbles are there on the side wall of the tyres but they told me no any warranty for tyres.. When i demand this in writing they are ready to check my vehicle tyres... Service manager gaurav singh was told me your tyres send to the company for testing and ur test results are negative this is not manufacturing problem after that i say ok no problem give me a test report he says as per company policy i didn't show u that report... Actually didn't send my tyre anywhere else he was lying with me they just want to waste my time & increase in the running k. M. After that they are start to talk me your running k. M. Is more than required.. What a unethical business shamed on b u bhandari... I am not expecting this from the reputed company like mercedes benz...

                                      I am hashmin, owner of a mercedece s350 in kochi, kerala. I bought the car from rajasre motors pvt ltd. On april 2017. I had driven only around 4000 kms. But i had a complaint with my car last week with the turbo pipe (Got disconnected from where it is connected). I gave the car to the service centre in kochi since i had a long trip. They said they cleared all the problems. But on my way to hyderabad i got the same complaint while driving. My car was not going beyond 80kms per hr. I had called up the recovery van and toed the car from tirupur to coimbatore. At the coimbatore service centre they again solved the problem (Temporarily) and we moved towards hyderabad. After one more day again the same problem occurs and i again given the car to chennai service centre. I had to drive to chennai for this. Again at chennai service station, they gave a temporary solution. I somehow driven my mercedes s350 back to kochi, my home town. I am totally disappointed with the quality of the car and service given to us for this. I am informing you that i am going to consumer court for getting my vehicle replaced.

                                        I am a victim of big fraud called mercedes. Lured by the big brand name of mercedes, i bought two e 250 cars in september 2016, from mercedes benz, through its authorized dealer, autohanger metro motors. I compared all the schemes available for car and asked for all quotations on email & approved the final quotation on email. I was promised best insurance available, and was charged rs 267986/ - for the insurance. I was not given any details of inclusions / exclusions; neither i met any insurance person, who explained all details. Neither any separate cheque was collected from me, for the insurance company. Amount charged to me, was all inclusive, including ex show room price, rto charges, insurance charges etc etc. As mercedes is premium car, i trusted them and i agreed for high insurance amount, to avoid any problems later, regarding insurance. But i was surprised to note later, that the debit notes / credit notes / invoices / insurance invoice given later, to me, did not matched with the quotation amount, given to me and approved by me. I was only given invoice of rs 128882/- for insurance. (Quotation screen shot attached) even the car ex showroom price and other quotes also did not matched, with the original quotation. We followed continuously for many months regarding this discrepancy, without any proper answer from this so called luxury brand. Fed up of followup, we stopped following up with them, after writing tens of emails and sending multiple reminders.

                                        I drove the car for about 6000 kms in and not even completed 1 year, when the mumbai rains happened, on 29th august, 2017. My car was standing in my office compound in bandra and some water entered inside my car. Due to his i decided to send my car, to service center & my ordeal started
                                        1- they claim road side assistance within 4 hours and i had to wait for 5 days and tens of phone calls / emails to tow my car, to the service center. After humungous followup, car was towed after 5 days. Reason given for delay - we are short of towing vehicles. We don’t have space to keep the car in service center. Etc etc. If you don’t having enough infrastructure to tow, service the cars, why the hell you are continuously selling the cars, in india. First improve the infrastructure and then sell.
                                        2- when my car reached there, another problem started. We have bought 2 cars, one for me and other for my partner. They have mismatched the data for both cars. My car engine / chassis no is registered against my partner and viceversa, in their records. They created huge issue and i had to arrange all documents from my side, to prove, that it is my car and i am lawful owner of this car. This again took 3-4 days time. All this documents, were issued by their dealership only, but they insisted from me, to give everything, just to delay the repairs. And note, that till today, they have not corrected the mistake in their records, inspite of giving all documents. Even a third grade local company will not do such mistakes, and here we are dealing with the so called luxury & most premium car maker of the world, with pathetic systems.
                                        3- after another humungous effort, they finally took the car, for repairs. Now the biggest problem started. First they started claiming, that my insurance did not covered the engine. I was surprised to listen this and after again tens of emails, they agreed to that engine is covered and there was some mistake from their end. Although my car was not fully submerged in water, during the rains, water had hardly reached below the seats, but still mercedes was not keen on repairing the car. They felt, that if we repair the car, and in future any problems, come, than it will come on mercedes, as car is under 3 years warranty plus one year extended warranty, which i took. So they made repair quotation of car of 92 lakhs, whose original price was 54 lakhs. So reliance insurance, obviously did not agreed for 92 lakhs repair charges as idv of my car was 52.15 lakhs. I strongly felt, that my car could have been repaired, but mercedes did not wanted to take future risk on them of repairing the car under warranty, so they created all this drama, so that my car can be declared total loss, by insurance company. Again after 45 days of the incident, on 14th october, i received email from reliance insurance, that my car has been declared total loss, and i shall be paid the idv of 52.13 lakhs. Also i will have to bear the parking charges and estimation charges of the car (Which i assume, would cross a lakh of rupees). They wanted me to agree on the same immediately. When i took the quotation of new car of the same model from mercedes, i was shocked to know, that they are asking me rs 18 lakhs more, to get the same model of the car. Reason - they said, all model is now replaced with facelift model and also, i will have to bear the rto charges again of rs 10 lakhs. Again i was surprised to know that the best insurance policy which was given to me, by mercedes does not covers return to invoice feature. Now, if you buy a car of above 50 lakhs, rto amount itself is around 8-10 lakhs, which is covered in rti feature, of insurance policy, in case of total loss of vehicle. Also, till now it is more than 65 days, and i am spending from my pocket daily conveyance amount, as mercedes has failed to provide my any courtesy vehicle, which was promised at the time of sales, that mercedes being a premium car, we shall provide you a courtesy car, in case your car is under repair, due to any reason. This is also done world wide by mercedes, but to indians, they give 3rd grade treatment. So i was not given courtesy cars, saying, that we are short of cars. It could have also been covered by insurance, if they would have provided by daily allowance add on, which they did not included in my insurance policy, even after charging huge amount. Also my emi is still continuing, which could have been covered under insurance add on of emi cover, which is valid for such situations. On top of it, their sister concern, daimler finance, is charging me rs 2 lakhs, pre payment penalty to close the loan, as if i am closing the loan, on my choice. These #, are so money minded, that they are not bothered about customer who is already suffering, but they want their pound of flesh.
                                        4- on top of that, mercedes (Through their sister concern redline automotive) renewed my insurance, for second year, even if the car was under repair. And now refusing to refund the insurance amount of second year, even if the car has been declared total loss. Again, i have to run around to claim back this insurance amount.
                                        5- i made complaint to autohangar, mercedes benz india, mercedes benz germany and to all concerned, that you should give me a new car, without charging me extra amount, as it was all mistake done by mercedes. Mercedes has cheated me, by charging, rs 2.68 lakhs for higher version of insurance and gave me a lower version, of only rs 1.29 lakhs. It is the case of breach of trust, mis selling, cheating, deficiency of service & i threatened them, to take this matter to social media, print media, consumer court, irda, insurance ombudsman & will claim damages for mental harassment also. But there was no positive response from them and they kept claiming, there is no mistake from their end and they have given me discount of the balance insurance amount, which is completely false and unethical. You cannot claim, to give me a discount on car, by reducing the features of my insurance and giving me a lower category insurance. This is blatant cheating & loot. They are just delaying the matter, in the hope, to tire me.
                                        6- in recent times, in all major cities, there have been cases of excessive rains in single day, be it mumbai, bangalore, chennai etc. So these things are becoming common now. But if you happen to be a proud merc owner (Pun intended), keep your merc, at home. Don’t ever drive in monsoons, in your merc, as even if slight amount of water goes inside your car (With or without your fault), you might have to undergo same ordeal, as i am facing and will be asked to shell out lakhs of rupees. I am 100% sure, that mercedes is doing the same tactics with all its customers and god forbid, if any such incidence happens with you, be prepared for months of trouble and shelling out 15-20 lakhs more, inspite of buying a new car, with best possible insurance assurance, from the most luxury fake brand of the world.
                                        7- mercedes should be banned from india, for making fool of indians, by giving them 3rd grade treatment, which is not part of their global standards.
                                        8- i have approached consumer court, & other law enforcement agencies, so that i get justice, in this matter.

                                        I request all to avoid buying mercedes, as it is a complete cheater organization and with only motive to make a fool of the customer, in what ever ways possible

                                          We are very pissed off by the service of Mercedes Benz.the car has only completed 3 years but it has gone for many times in the service centre almost in every couple of months which is very shameful for the brand like Mercedes Benz sometimes the roof of the car made noise just to solve that issue we have gone to the service centre which is quite far for more than 4 times but still they can't do it in 4 tries then there's an issue that sometimes the AC of the car was off and not working with the sun on top still when we complained about this matter they made some funny excuse that the sensors were not working I think being so many times to service centre has pissed me off too I don't know why the brand like Mercedes Benz is so irresponsible and even on my side I would tell this to everyone and share what happened to me which is very sad and also very bad for brand like this .

                                            Today (13/10/16) your dealer who is covering nagercoil had vehicle display for sales promotion @ district club, nagercoil. I went there around 5.00 pm to see the vehicle & also for test drive, because i am in the intention to change my car.
                                            I asked your people to give me c 220 test drive. But they refused to give test drive. I am doing real estate business in our area & i am sure that i am capable of purchasing c 220. I don't know how you are deciding people whether they will buy or not.                                                   Having seen the initiative taken by you to redress grievances on various accounts and to get them settled on fast track, we too would like for post our grievance for a suitable solution.

                                                  OUR GRIEVANCE IS GIVEN HEREUNDER :

                                                  We have faced a problem with none other than Mercedes Benz India, which is still unresolved and is a matter pending in the court. We would like to share our grievance through your forum so that the viewers become aware of such happenings, secondly we would like to welcome any suggestion so as to ensure that auto car company/dealers or franchisees do not cheat customers in similar fashion, and, last but not the least we would like the matter to be settled with a judicious verdict.

                                                  We have a Mercedes Benz E220 1996 model which was running smooth and sound. In 2007 there was a problem with the focus of its headlights. When shown to the Service Franchise M/s. Sangi Motorcar Co., at Nagpur, we were asked to change the headlights costing around Rs. 75000.00 and were also pointed out other defects, estimated cost of which were around 150,000.00. Looking into the reputation of Mercedes, we were sure that their Franchisee and Service providers would also provide services to match the class of Mercedes. However, regretfully only the fee was of Mercedes class. Despite having changed the headlights there was no improvement in the focus. As the Service Centre of Sanghi Motor Car Co. at Nagpur was not able to detect the problem, we had to write directly to Mercedes Benz. After repeated reminders, Senior Managers of Sanghi Motor Car Co. Mumbai visited Nagpur. After due inspection of the headlight fixtures, it was found that the lights were not properly placed, thereby causing focus problem, highlighting incompetency of their service franchise at Nagpur.

                                                  Later, as there was a cooling problem, we had again got the Car inspected at Sanghi Motor Car Co. Nagpur. This time we were advised to replace engine cable harness and idle speed actuator. We were given an estimate of about Rs. 2, 20,000.00. With no other alternative, we had paid the amount and got the work done which resulted in the Car getting into ignition problems, with the engine getting off while idling, which was a risk factor while at signals. This was brought to the notice of Sanghi Motor Car Co., Nagpur and upon their expressing helplessness; we again had to revert back to Mercedes Benz and Sanghi Motor Car Co. Mumbai. Once again though Mercedes kept themselves away from the issue, the Senior Managers of Sanghi Motor Car Co. Mumbai paid a visit on us.

                                                  During the course of discussions with them, we were merely being told that it is high time that we should go in for a new model. Later, when they sent their report in writing, we were shocked to learn from them that their Nagpur Franchise was just a Service Centre and was not capable of taking up major repairs and maintenance work and for such issues, we should send the vehicle to Mumbai. This has been communicated in writing to us.

                                                  We felt cheated as the Nagpur Franchise never ever had informed us about their incompetency in taking up major repairs, and, in fact we had been lured by them in shelling out hefty sums towards parts and repairs. On account of all these issues the vehicle has been rendered idle. As Mercedes was not responding to our voice on the subject issue, we were forced to approach the consumer’s forum and the matter is pending judgment at the State forum as in the District forum the Mercedes had managed to get the verdict to their favour by merely making a false statement that if the company owns the vehicle, it would have been used for commercial purpose and hence it should not be covered under the Consumer forum. It was surprising for such a reputed company like Mercedes to use low standards to defend, as, even if the vehicle was in the name of our company, how can we use an E-class vehicle for commercial transportation purposes?

                                                  However, it was for sure that Mercedes should have taken Sanghi Motor Car Co. their Franchisee to task after this incidence, because, soon after Mercedes Benz had disassociated with Sanghi and had appointed Autohangar as their franchisee.

                                                  Mercedes is a big company and may be it is because of their clout that the case which is now with the State Forum on account of our appeal is merely getting dragged with each adjournment having a gap of 6 months.

                                                  We hope you will find our grievance valid and would take up the matter suitably for the cause of justice. In case you need any further information, please do let us know accordingly.

                                                  I am sunil Kumar, I am bought a nokia phone model no. 6270 & Serial No. [protected], I have given twice times to nokia center but still is not working properly, last time I gave this mobile to nokia service center BENZ (INDIA) PRIVATE LIMITED naraina indl area phase I, New Delhi 110028 India for repairing.
