Hello,
My husband got a nandini ghee which is in a plastic pet bottle, I was suspecious but later I thought it might me new pack.
But after having this from past 3 days my husband is complaining of extrem acidity after having food.
But I don't have any problem because I'm not eating it.
Its a Duplicate ghee it has no smell and it's very hard we are getting acidity after consumption ....

Ghee is adultered
This ghee is liquid form usually. I bought from smart whole pkylt solidified. Is it mixed with dalda???

I bought Nandini ghee which is manufacturer by tumkur it's fully vanaspati thn next day I bought another packet of Nandini ghee which is manufacturer by kolar it's really gud ..but manufacturer by tumkur is fully fraud plz check and take action against the tumkur branch

Pure Ghee is not so pure after all

Respected Authorities,
We have been consumers of Nandini Ghee for a long time and the brand was reliable. Until recently that is, when we heated the Ghee and left it down to cool. The aroma became an odor that smelled like grease and the color degraded to a waxy white.
Considering the state it is in, I would use it as a substitute for Grease.
I register this complaint hoping that the brand regains it's trust by not using such under-handed methods to sell it's products. The company has been regarded for it's quality of dairy products and finding out that such a company is cheating it's consumers and ruining their health for profit is awful!

Quality degraded pathetically

We are using nandini ghee past 16 years and were a very happy customers . But now we have lost complete trust on it. The ghee looks like dalda. No aroma of ghee. Yellow colour is no more. Now it is in white colour.
Respected authorities kindly have a check on this.

Tumkur ghee is fraud it's mixed vanaspati u try kolar or other manufactur.bcoz same happened with me thn I took other manufactur it's gud

Yesterday (22nd September 2010) I bought a one litre pack of Nandini Ghee. I was really impressed with the Steel container (which could be useful, I thought) when I saw it, so I did not hesitate paying Rs 320. (Other reputed brands like Anik, Amul, Gits etc. come for Rs 260-300). However, after opening the pack I saw that the Ghee inside was appaling. The odour was abhoring and the colour also was brown. I am sure it is not ghee at all. How can it pass for Ghee? Are the authorities not regulating what comes to the market? How did they procure license to manufacture and sell such a product? I don’t know what to do. Is there a formal way to complain about it. Please help! People will definitely fall sick if they eat it or may even die. (I dare not touch it.)

I agree with you Nandhini GHEE IS NOT A GHEE AT ALL, I am also doubtful it is something like aerated refined oil. When I boiled it it never gives the aroma of the ghee rather after all the foam is gone it is like a clear liquid identical to a refined oil.
Its unfortunate that you came across with a bad version of Nandini ghee . have used nandini ghee only once and that too abroad here in the UAE. and its is fantastic . the aroma, the lightness . It's the best ghee for tradional indian recepies and desserts for festivities.
I do urge the manufactures as well as the authorities to check on the quality so thereare no complaints . its is very necessary to have a product check and expiry regulations with the distributors, wholesellers as well as the shopkeepers.
i would not like such a good product to have a bad name.

I bought nandini ghee 4days back and after using these days now m sure that nandini ghee is not ghee it's like oil in up part and down part it's like dalda. I am to throw that ghee now. I just simply wasted my money.
Nandini ghee was better, but now a days the quality is like vanaspathi oil. not at all good smell it's very bad.pethatic quality
