MY PASSPORT APPLICATION TRANSFERRED TO POLICY SECTION.

Hello, I have applied for a passport on 24th June 2010, but not yet received it. Current status is "Application has been transferred to policy section, Please See the PRO ", what is this PRO and why my application is transferred there? My Application Number is PAT-A[protected] in PATNA . Is there any way to cancel this Application so that I can reapply in TATKAL as I need my passport urgent. Please help me. Many Thanks.

i have submitted my passport application form on 11.02.2009. my FILE REFF.NO.. is PAT-A[protected]. police verification has been done in the month of july2009. the dispatch no. &date of my file is D/R889(F)09 &17.07.2009.but stil it is displaying on the site that ur police verification has not been received.
i want to know, what is the reason& what is the actual status of my application.
