I am monish chandra gongopadhyay from katwa, burdwan, west bengal. I filled the passport form online on the website and paid the fees. Appointment at the passport office was made under the file no ca[protected] and even the police verification was done. Since then my application status is being pending for physical police verification at respective thana under sp office, district burdwan. Its quiet a long time now. I really am very frustrated...

Its a shame that the process of booking an appointment with PSK is openly encouraging people to go to BROKERs, as there is no way for a common man to get the appointment. I have been trying to get a appointment for 4 consecutive days. Everyday I am able to see the slots. But by the time I click on one of the slots, the session gets time out or it's go on for ever. I applied for passport on www.passportindia.gov.in about two month back. But till date I have not been able to get appointment.and my application got cancelled.i resubmitted a new application, though I try many times a day for kolkata Passport Seva Kendre,yet i did not find again. However, if apply through agents, they arrange appointment in one or two days - by charging Rs 2800- per appointment.
