I have not received the passport yet, and the status shows as "Police Report is clear and the passport is expected to be despatched by[protected]. Subject to all documents being in order."

I had applied for my wife's passport on the 28th of August, 2010. Till date the status is being shown as POLICE REPORT NOT RECEIVED. I am in terrible agony as the local apssport office in Chinsurah, Hooghley are not in a position to cite any tangible reasons for the delay.

I have applied for passport on 3rd of November 2010 at Hyderabad E-seva
counter in Banajara hills,

My Police enquiry was done on 24 th November 2010 and after a month of
enquiry I came to know that I have to write my previous residential
adress in the form so on 2nd Feb 2011 I submited PP form with my
present
previous and permanent address on it .And till date I have not received
any call for police inspection.

I have addressed my grievance to the passport office but there was no
action was taken. I have tried calling the regional passport office in
secundrabad but there was no reply. Kindly look into the matter and
please help me in getting my passport as I have to go for Interview to

I Have applied for change of address for my son on[protected]. During Mid of december the status is changed to "Due to unaviodable circumstances the issuing the passport is delayed. It will be dispatched in one week's name". This status is shown till Last week of Jan. After that now in the status nothing is displayed. When I called 55352, the respnose I have received is passport is granted, will be dispatched soon. I am hearing the same status from last two weeks. I have applied for the address change in my passport on 28 september, 2010. Previously the officer told me that Police will come for verification. But till date no Police man came. I went to the Police station for confirmation, but they told they have not received any intimation from passport office. I went to passport office twice in last month, they are now saying that police verificationn is not requiired, your passport will be delivered directly without any verification. I submitted my passport for ECR clearence on 20/12/2010. I was told that, as it is a re-issue case, it would take maximum of 30 days till I get my new passport. I had been to the area police station to enquiry about the verification status, but I was told that they have not yet received my passport details. Its been 18 days and there has not yet been any enquiry from the police. I was expecting the re-issue of my passport at the earliest as I have to travel.

I had submitted my passport J 4776016 dated 16.11.2010 (File No DLH G[protected] for correction of my address and place of birth on 2.12.2010 to RPO Bhikaji Cama New Delhi. it was supposed to be sent on 6.12.10. I hv given SPA no 264665 dated 7.12.10 but till date it has not been received

There are lot of bribing corruption happening in The reional passport iffice, chennai.

Once my friend went the pasport office for re-issue of passport as his passport expires after 10 years. He applied on line tatkal regsitration and went to the counter on the date of appointment. The srutnizing officer has informed that his passport got damaged and has to pay Rs 5000 and come on some other day. But his passport was not all dmaged and in fact it looks like new one. he asked the reason why he syas that it was damaged , but officer informed that no need to give the reason and he is authoritive to say whether it is damaged or not. Also he asked for three adress proofs for change of address. My frined presented the gas receipt bill, staement of running account for the past one year and a letter from my company stating his reseidentail adress. But the officer refused to accept the same and asked him to get a letter from his bank manager on his letter pad.

In the passport office website it was mentioned that one adress proof is sufficent. ( as mentioned below)

(a) Proof of address (attach one of the following):
Applicant’s ration card, certificate from Employer of reputed companies on letter head, water /telephone /electricity bill/statement of running bank account/Income Tax Assessment Order /Election Commission ID card, Gas connection Bill, Spouse’s passport copy, parent’s passport copy in case of minors. (NOTE: If any applicant submits only ration card as proof of address, it should be accompanied by one more proof of address out of the above categories).


The officer did the smae thing for many applicants on that day. However has accepted the application form from few approached through travel agents, inspite of incomplete application form and incomplete attachments.

Immediately when my friend came out of passport office, a travel agent approached him and promissed him to finsih the work today itself, provided he pay Rs2300 as his commision.

Many genuine application forms getting rejected for no reason in chennai passport office. To get the passport sure many in passport office recomend to approach Mr. Senthur Vel. They say we will defiently get the passport if he approach through him. He charges Rs 2700/ extra for that service.

I believe it should not take at most 90 days to issue passport facilities, if i am not wrong.It has been 4 months now but i am not getting any information out of this passport office. The online status of my application says that "YOUR APPLICATION HAS BEEN FORWARDED TO POLICY DEPARTMENT, PLEAS SEE PRO". I contacted at the inquiry counter to let me meet PRO for a couple of times but they didn't allow me to meet PRO. Instead, they asked me a PPF form and said that you will get the passport shortly. i awaited for one month but nothing have been done. Again i contact officials at Adaalat they also did the same thing that collected PPF form and said the same thing but nothing came up to me as of now.... I am very much disgusted with the functioning of the passport offices and request to you please consider my case and help me in getting my passport facilities asap.

Irony is, the online status updated on 22nd Sep says, police report is clear and passport to be sent on 9th Sep .. I wonder how long it would take more.. Could anyone help me to find the status of my application and if someone can help getting it, I would be very much thankful to them,

I have submitted my passport on the 6th of April for PCC and after sending many emails, fax, and personally submitted letters to the PRO haven't received my passport yet. Today, after 2 months the PRO sent me an email to furnish my address proof which I have already done. I don't understand their delayed work pattern. My file number is M 016333. The PRO also sent me a strangers grievance in the above said email. I don't understand how can they disclose anybody's details to anybody. Isn't it personal?

I have applied for passport on 11th may 2009 from mysore, while police varification during the month july 2009, i was out of station, so police send the report that I am not staying at the address given.
Passport office send me a letter to re-apply with personal particular form.
I personaly submitted the application at enquiry counter on 12 th march 2010 at RPO Bangalore, re-police varification completed and report sent on 26 th march, report received at RPO Bangalore on 31 st.( shown on internet passport status ),
I personaly visited RPO Bangalore on 31 st march, attended ADALAT for urgency of my passport, personaly met MR RAVINDRA( Regional passport officer ) , I request/ explained my urgency of passport and as per his guidence i have given request letter to get my passport at earliest, and submitted the letter to Mr Ravindra ( RPO bangalore ), He promissed me to despatch the passport on 1 st April 2010. I followed the same but I have not received the passport as per promise of mr. Ravindra ( RPO bangalore),
So I again visited RPOffice Bangalore on 5 th April 2010. and converted my passport file to TATKAL scheme and paid amount Rs 1500/- fees. TO GET PASSPORT WITHIN SEVEN DAYS. ( key no. [protected]. file no BNGW18181409. service :- 11 51, Mode :- direct.)

Hi Sir,
I KANCHARLA SAMANVITHA RANI have applied for a passport for change of name due to marriage with the file no: M031860 on DEC 23rd 2008 with all the required documents (Marriage Certificate, 2 Paper Advertisements, Affidavit, My husbands passport, Old passport, All my educational certificates, Bank statement with new name) but due to some confusion by the passport officials they have entered my old name (VADYALA RANI) in the records. After submitting the PP Form twice police had come for verification and they have submitted the report at passport office with Ref: WNO173, SNO 26 on 18th FEB 2009. I am almost visiting passport office twice a week for general enquiry and Adalat after 23rd Jan 2009. I even met PRO thrice, he said he will look into and dispatch my passport at the earliest but nothing has happened yet. In Adalat they got my file and checked it also all the documents even the police report was there but in there status column it is stating that police report is awaited, they said they will dispatch my passport on 26th Feb 2009 as I lastly attended adalat on 25th Feb 2009. But everything is worthless as I dint receive my passport yet, I had met PRO again on 3rd March 2009. As I dint receive any response I have attended Adalat on Wednesday (4th March 2009) and met MR.Bala Baskher, he said that there is some internal fraud from the official side( i.e last time I have attended Adalat on 25th Feb 2009 by the time I got my turn it was 5Pm and head who’s is responsible has left for the day it seems but some how they got my file out and checked it and everything was fine and DPO sir has sent the orders to even dispatch my passport, as the madam was not there she was suspecting and asked for an explanation on why It has been taken out without her permission; was what told to me in adalat), police people will investigate and I will receive a call from there officials within two days and I got a call from a lady called Rehala[protected] @ 4.30Pm on the same day stating to come to office at 11am today (i.e. 5th March 2009). I went to the office @ 10.30Am today and met her @ 11.30 Am, she said me to wait as I have to meet RPO (Mr. Bala Baskher). After waiting for an hour (i.e. @ 12.30Pm) i reminded her that I am waiting she again said me to wait and again I have seen her @ 1.30PM, she again told me to wait and @ 2Pm the constable over there said that sir has left for lunch he will come back only after 3PM, so I was waiting for him to come back and he came back at 3.00Pm and again I went to her she again said me to wait. At 3.45Pm she asked to come and sit in her cabin and asked me what’s the problem even thought she knows everything as she was holding my file with all the details, with full patience I was explaining her the whole case in between she left her cabin and came back @4.30 Pm and asked me to give the explanation in written why I have submitted PP Form with my Old name (I was told by the general enquiry person to write what ever name is there on the receipt). I gave her a letter in written about this after that she asked me why I have submitted second PP form, I said her as I didn’t receive any police verification even after one month I went and asked at commissioner’s office they said they didn’t receive my file yet and suggested me to submit a PP form again so I have done that. After that she says that the report which they are holding is not valid and I have to wait till I get the report on the first PP form which I have submitted with the application. I asked her that as you people have not sent the first PP form then only I have submitted the second one I got a clearance so how can you say that this is not valid, she said me to get a letter from commissioner office ( @ saifabad i.e. near to IMAX) stating that they didn’t receive my first PP form. Or else submit a new PP form with the new name so that they will send it for verification again, I asked her for all this process how much time it will take she was not at all sure how much time and she is asking to wait till I get it done, then I asked her for a problem from your official side why you are making us to face a problem. She dint answer for that and simple said me @ 4.50PM to either give a fresh PP form or go and get a letter from Commissioner office and she will be there only up to 5.30Pm. When she was not sure of how much time it will take to get my passport even after submitting a new PP form, I thought its better to go and get the letter. I went all the way from Secunderabad to Khairatabad to get the letter. A police person over there maid me sit there and explained the whole process of what all information they will have and said that as they didn’t receive the file even after one month of applying they have suggested me to give a new PP form. He said me if they have sent my file ask her to give me the date and the official name on which they have sent my file. To ask the details I have called up to the number from which I got a called I asked her I am speaking to Rahela Madam she started blasting on me like anything and said me to keep off the phone, I was still waiting on the call expecting someone will answer but no one has answered the call so I had to end up the call.

IS THIS THE WAY YOUR OFFICIAL RESPOND TO THE CLIENTS? She has maid me wait from morning 10.30Am till 4.50PM and dint even responded properly. I asked her you said me to wait to meet RPO from morning so I want to talk to him; she told that I can’t talk to him without clearing this.
Sir, please look into it and suggest me some solution as I have to be there in USA with my husband before the end of this month. So that I can apply for H1 VISA, I hope you can understand the situation that at this time living in USA without a job will be a big burden to my husband. Sorry to say this but at this time if I don’t get any help, the only way left out to me is giving a complaint to media people.

I Ashokkumar Seduram Khandelwal, received my wife's passport 0n 23/12/08, unfortunately a printing mistake has occurred in my wife's passport which was issued to us.
In the said passport, In the column of Name on the last page it is wrongly printed as Ashokkumar Seduram Khnadelwal instead of Ashokkumar Seduram Khandelwal. Hence it is humbly requested to do necessary correction and issue fresh passport. So, how can I send passport through Registered A.D. or Courier? Because of very sorry to say that my wife is suffering from joint pain in this time. So, we can't reach at this time. Please reply as soon as possible.

I have applied for my passport from niligiris district Tamilnadu which comes under The regional passport office Chennai.It has been almost 5 and half months from now, as i have applied for it on 16 june 2008 and completed my police verifications successfully on july 2008.

When i happened to check the status of my passport on line it said that my DD was expired and a new DD should be submitted to the office.When i checked it with the bank which has issued the DD They confirmed me that that the DD is valid still and when i contacted the passport office in this regard i couldn't get a proper response or clarification from their side.

This has taken me a long time till now to get a clarification or response from the regional passport office chennai.

I have tried to fill my details for applying for a fresh passport online under tatkal. What I found is I could not enter my full name after expanding my initials. "The online form does not accept a name having more than 40 letters length"

This is a large inconvenience as all my certificates contain my full name and I am denied for applying a passport under tatkal.

If I truncate my name for applying a passport then what about my name in all my certificates and I cannot show my truncated name as proof for the documents to be submitted for applying a passport under tatkal scheme.

When I expand my intials i.e M L N V SATYA KISHORE GUPTA it becomes MUNNALURI LOKANADHA NAGA VENKATA SATYA KISHORE GUPTA and this name exceeds the length provided in the form

Please take immediate action as I need immediately passport as I have to appear for my GRE exam.

My mother had submitted her passport for PCC for New Zealand on[protected] in person at Secunderabad Office, still we have not received the passport back, the file number is M011957, when we enquired at the RPO we were informed still they have not received the Police Verification and we enquired at the concerned Police Station and the incharge at the Police Station informs us that they have despached the report on 26th of May 2008.
Still when we check the status online it says OTHERS..
When we call or visit the passport office we are getting only one answer that still police verification is not received and we will get the passport in next 10 days.
Now it is more than 45 days and still no news and the online status is "Others".
Please I request your intervention to get our worries solved.
