We are staying in Anna Nagar Chennai, 5th Avenue, Y Block, We find that the time of 2 hour at power shutdown is always kept at 4pm to 6pm through in news paper the time should be 8 am to 10 am.

By this mail I want to draw attention to the concerned department in TNEB that the time of power cut has not changed from April 2012 whereas it should change every month

    We were told to visit the nearby Royapettah Electricity Board office and meet an official to submit our application to convert from commercial to domestic electricity usage charges. Saturday being the only day we can afford to visit the office, we went on saturday at 11:30am and the person told us to get owner's signature even though we informed that he is bed-ridden and very unwell. Still we managed to get the signature somehow and visited the office and he was missing from his seat, we were told to come back at 3:3pm or so as he had gone for lunch at 12:30pm. When we went again at 3:30pm, after waiting for 30 minutes when we enquired we were told that he has left for the day as he has gone to inspect some electricity problem. This is very unprofessional and very customer unfriendly behavior. We wish to know who we can escalate the problem and submit our application smoothly so next bill comes properly.

      Hi . Tamil nadu electricity board one of the worst electricity board in India. no continus power supply. day time only 2 hours power is there that is from 12 to 2pm. again in evening and night 7-8, 9-10, 11-12,3-4, 5-6 in these hours they are stopping the power supply. useless TNEB. i dont know why you give power at these times. better you dont give power supply at all for 1month then we will forget about the electricity and we will go back to the olden culture where there is no current. useless fellows. TNEB sucks.

        There were frequent power cuts at your residence. #68/92 Kamarajapuram 3rd Street Nungambakkam. For the past 1 week there used to be power cut maintenance from 4pm - 6pm but now for the past 2 days they have changed the maintenance timing from 8am-10am even then they do power cut at 4pm-6pm also when enquired the helpline they just say that it be corrected but its only word in air and has never ever changed. In a day its almost 5-6 hours power cuts happen. Need to rectify this situation

          My TNEB meter is not working. As per TNEB rules I understand from local office, I have to pay average of last 2 payment cycle. But, for June '11 cycle, I was using AC fully. For Aug'11 cycle AC usage was limited due to change in climatic condition. For Oct'11, the AC usage is nil (Asyou know this climate does not need AC at all) Considering the prevailing rule, I have to pay average of consumption for the period till meter is replaced. This is very shocking. Considering the steep increase in EB tariff, it is very unfar on TNEB's part to penalise consumer for TNEB's error. Having a faulty meter is not my problem.

          This meter was newly fitted on Mar'11. How come a newly fitted meter fails in less than 6 months (The same issue is faced by my neighbour in the same flat). I remember, we had meter working in my father's house for more than 30 years. Whose problem is to have such sub-standrad meter? Why TNEB is penalising consumer for their issues?

          I donot want to pay extra for the unit I have not consumed. My average consumption during peak summer will be around 700 unit (for 2 months cycle) & non-sumer seasons around 350 units. I feel, am cheated when I am forced to pay more than what I am consuming. Considering new tariff, from next billing cycle I will be paying atleast Rs 700/- extra. I hope you can appreciate, this is not small amount for a middle class person.

            I am one of the resident of No.98/130, Pedariar Koil Street, Broadway, Chennai 600 001. In our residence, there's a electrical fault for which I complained through your Head Office Number 155333 two month's before. For the same your person's came and given temporary wired line from the neighbour's house (left side) and assured to rectify the same on the next day. But not yet any one came to rectify the same. In the meanwhile, power supply has been supplied from our house to the other neighbour's house (right side). Hence we are facing lot of problems resulting to low voltage. Hence, I hereby request your goodself to kindly look into the matter and do the needful.

            I am Residing at pammal Anna nagar Daily night there cutting the power. Yesterday Cuting power 5 hours .In our area lot of kids are there we are facing lot of problem for us.Suppose Power cut day time means we can adjust.but night time mean how can .

              Respected Sir/Madam,

              My Name is Thulasi residing at 41/65, Anna street, Chitlapakkam.

              I would like to log my complaint against the Electricity Board(EB), Chitlappakkam on charging unacceptable average amount on monthly electricity bill. I use to travel to my daughters' house and rarely staying in the above said address. Last Month June 2011, on the average I stayed only 4 days in my house.

              My son-in-law use to pay the electricity bill thru online payment. When he looked this month electricity bill he really shoked to see Rs.4527.00 has to pay.

              These type of irressponsible billing errors are killing all people of all classes.

              This is not the first time we are facing these type of issues with this EB. If house is locked while the person come for meter reading he is assuming the average bill for that month instead of Minimum amount which is unfare.

              Reqeust you help to resolve this issue.

                Hi,

                I stay in Sarathy Nagar in Velcahery. The problem location is in the 5th street of the Sarathy Nagar main road in Velachery. There is a electricity board post in the corner of the 5th street joining sarathy nagar main road. This post hosts multiple live wires. This post was hit by a metro water tanker while taking a reverse and was damaged . This post is held very loosely and may fall anytime and cause hazard to the residents staying in the place. i have complained over the phone multiple times and no measures were taken. Please do the needful.

                    Sub:-Rectification of VOLTATE FLUXTUATION Electric Supply/ Req. Erection of New Transformer.

                    Iam A.Rathish kumar (Software eng chennai) residing at 40 a, plot no.G2, Ramnagar south, 12 th cross street(KuberanNagar extn), Madipakkam, chennai-600 093, We suffering Low voltage problem for past 2years. I gave a complaint in TNEB Consumer Complaint .And when i viewed the status of my complaint recently, it shows that the complaint is completed.But our low voltage problem is still sustaining. We request a erection of new transformer in our area.
                    Your august office is requested to pass suitable instruction to the EB Keelkatalai for installation of a transformer in Kuberannagar extn so as to retrieve the low voltage problem faced by the residents.The Association has been representing the case for the past five years and EB has assured to install a transformer.However, the residents are facing acute irregular flow of supply during day and night, resulting sleepless nights and causing health hazards.

                      i am one of the person living in tiruninravur near avadi.
                      i dont know why the electricity board is shut down electricity for 2 hours(4p.m-6p.m) daily for the past 2and half years, without any reason they shutdownning the electricity, if we people ask them also they are not responding, somebody do something. i dont know where to complain so only i am posting in this area.
                      due to this school childrens, old age people are getting affected, totally there were more than 2laks people residing in tiruninravur, so pls ask them to stop these thing

                        Electricity board employees of tamilnadu becoming worst.Employees asking Bribe directly from the customer just for doing their work.We have seen many employees from Poonamallee have been already caught by Vigilance.I experienced the same problem with Porur Electricity board employee.The worst thing is even a lady employee asking me directly to pay bribe for Name transfer and Reconnection Charge.
                        Tamil Nadu Government is not taking any action against Government employees and politician immoral activities just because of their Votes and loop holes in Indian Law for Punishing an Government employee or Politician.
                        Iam not sure where to complaint this.If I file a case instead taking effective action against Government employees and Politician, they will close the case by giving earlier example.
                        I feel ashamed to complaint about my countries Government organisation and democratic Rule.
                        Instead of fighting with this stupid democracy I have planned to move out of India.
                        I love India, But I hate Indian Government Employees,Politician,Law and Poor Democracy. I pray the God save my Poor Indian Citizen from this Dogs..

                          Respected sir,

                          This is to inform you that I am residing in 'C' Block, Cheran Street, MMDA Colony, we have been facing power failure/shortage/fluctuation problems for the last two weeks especially in the night times. We have made several complaints to the Electricity Board office situated in MMDA Colony so far but they seems to be not bothered about the problems. The Assistant Engineer (AE) of the concerned area has not even bothered to visit the place to find out the problems from the public rather than telling them not to worry we will take care of the same at the earliest.
                          Through this complaint, i request the concerned area AE to kindly allocate sometime to visit the areas and meet people like us to find out the exact problems. Also, please note in our street there are so many old age people, kids. Surviving without power the whole day will be very difficult.
                          Please look into this matter and resolve the same at the earliest.
                          FYI, the employees (labours) of the EB office is very cooperative but they cannot take any action until they get the instruction from the senior authorities.

                            In Chindathripet, the Unscheduled power cut every day any time specially night 8pm to next day early morning 3am, it was happening from Feb 2010 to till date, its very difficult to live with kids and aged people, it showing TNEBs worst/bad maintenance and irresponsible of their employees, why the govt provide BONUS to that worst employee.

                                i live in the ashok nagar area 79th street off 18th avenue in a flats. we face regular power cut in this area especially only residence living in the left hand side of the street. there are about close to 30 to 35 residence who face this issue especially in the night. they disconnect the power in the nights for more that 3 hour. when we try calling the near by eb office they keep their phone down to avoid calls. we keep trying continously but it is always engaged. there are old people and many small children live this locality. we find very difficult as not able to sleep till min 2pm in the night. the residence of this locality are planning for a complaint via press. need immediate action on this for everybodies benefit. please do take action on this considering this matter very seriously. also request you to take action on the eb office which is unanswered always. we look forward for your immdeiate support as more that 35 residence in which old people and children suffer a lot. the office going people are also afftected due to this. please consider as urgency.

                                  we had to install electricity for our farm. Payment was made but to connection the board delayed untill we had to pay unofficiall to them.

                                  The wire man in Thinaikulam also does not connect the wires ,when challenged that I would report him he to the authorities he is vey confident that no action would be taken.

                                  In another incident he was asked to remove the wire so as we could prune the branches falling on the line.
                                  He stated that his rate for doing that was Rs3000. which my husband had to pay to get the work finished.
                                  This type of corruption is eating into the society.

                                  I hope the authorities will look into these matters.

                                  There should be a time line for appliciotion of services and finalisation.Higher persons are not easily approcable to the public.

                                    I had applied for three Phase line and it has sanctioned but the errection has not done properly acrose
                                    the road the cable on the road I have given the writtern complaint to kodambakkam A.D on 16 .09 .09 there were no response.So kindly to take necessary step to avoid the cable cut and affect the puplic.

                                      Im residing in KK nagar west 10th sector 54 th street. My house is receiving electricity only for 12 hours in a day (that too lot of voltage drop). EB people have divided the hours like DAY-6 & NIGHT-6. The improper power shutdown is not intimated to the locals here.The transformer near by house is useless and often gets burst up that causes more electricity loss. The concerned person is not bothered enough to do their duty as the public cant do anything against them. He gets more bribe for one day solution. It is very difficult nowadays without electricity as many work depends on them. Kindly suggest me whether i can get justification from any people. Also advice me if there is any alternate way to get this solved or this is just to increase count on the topic where there is no solution in it? Please give proper comments

                                        the may month bill is not come my office address i complaints three times for 121 customer care.but u send june month bill .pls send May month bill (05th may to 04th june)u send the bill of may month then only my office give check for may & june month bill. pls send the bill to my email my cell no is [protected].
