The tour and travel company Veena Patil Hospitality Pvt LtD operates with the name Veena World charged me 50% cancellation charge on a trip for 6N/7D booked to begin from 21st May until 27th May on the ground that i am cancelling the trip despite understanding the tragic event of Kashimir Pahalgam Attach that happened on 22 Apr. I booked my women special tour with veena world on 19th dec 2019 for 6th may 2020 travel. However due to current covid 19 crisis we are not able to proceed for tour. When i meet them in 1st week of march they said tour is on we can travel. However lockdown was announced on 25th march 2020 then i asked them this situation is not foreseen by any one o[censored]s, please refund the amount. On verbal communication with them if i want the refund of my tour amount then as per cancellation policy they would deduct 30% of the amount & can refund balance. After so many follows up i get reply today that they will charge rs.9000 /- per person as transfer charges & peak season charges etc & validity of extension can also be limited to march 2021. My question was this was not my will, i have to cancel the tour as its force majeure situation across the world even if you are allowing postpone of tour then give atleast 2 years as we have to plan are family schedule accordingly & situation of covid 19 should come under control & why extra charges should be levied. We are sitting at home due to lockdown & with no earnings are flowing in still this people want to penalize us. Sincere request is i want my full amount refunded right now. They are already enjoying interest on my amount paid in dec 19 then why cancellation charges
