[Resolved]  Aircel / prepaid GPRS — very poor speed of GPRS

Global Packet Radio Service (GPRS) is not regular internet like dialup system available with BSNL. GPRS is for phone browsing, and the computer gets connected through the modem in the cell phone. We should never expect a speedy connection in GPRS.
The connection speed through bluetooth may show to connect at 115 kbps, but the transfer rate will lie within 2 or 3 kbps only. If your main aim is downloading, use download manager softwares, it may be boost the downloading to some extent. But the page downloading cannot be increased, because gprs is shared through towers.

I am also using aircel no.in delhi. I also get speed 1-2 kbps.its gprs is very very slow .

in few rs 100, what u want more. aircel is good service provider. those people who blam to aircel, according to me they are wrong.

MY AIRCEL SPEED IS LESS THAN 1KB/SEC SO PLEASE TELL ME THE PROXY ADDRESS TO INCREASE MY SPEED

aircel gprs is very slow and it cannot be used for downloading.

aircel gprs is flop. speed is not more than 1kbps & difficult even to search single site.

while connecting the laptop it is noy even opening gmail first page also. it is that much slow.cant even check my mail.poor gprs

aircel gprs is very very slow .i have use in sony ericsson mobile and no improved the speed aircel is very poor network

Myself Ajay Kumar Yadav from Allahabad U.P., last 2-3 month i am using Aircel prepaid mobile service. My no. is [protected]. I am a student and i am using this because its give Internet connectivity at very low cost with browsing speed up-to 20 kbps on PC but when i am surfing on my PC the browsing speed max 2 kbps only all the time. I have complaint 3 time to customer care of aircel but their is no sufficient response.

poor aircel speed.it lies between 2-4kbps.and it gets disconnected regularly.

I got a new aircel connection and it rocks .Its just newly introduced in Maharashtra, i got it for Rs99.
It gives me 25kBps speed in morning while after 9am it goes to 6to 9kBps.
But its worth the price.I have downloaded many movies too.How cum u guyz getting so less speed.
I guess that i am the only user in our area
or use this setting in phone and modem option in control panel select ur modem and in extra initilization command paste this

aircel what is this. i think it is something that nearly 25 percent of india can use today for various purposes .But really acc to me all services of its are none o[censored]se like call plans, internet browsing, dialer tunes, recharge coupon etc.like the speed is a slow as a a speed of tortise.

oh actually i bought aircel sim coz airtel recently stopped unlimited plan...and i saw that the surfing speed was slow...bt somtimes it is even faster than airtel...and it actually depends on connections ...so i[censored] want 2 download anything just go 4 IDM software and then download...so that u can create like 8 connections...n i was getting speed of 25-30kbps speed...its good i liked it as unlimited gprs for 3 days or 1 month...it is good and very cheap and aircel are NOT FOOLING us...and for surfing i will advice just go on using google chrome browser...

its fun 2 have aircel gprs at the lovest cost, but not the speed, why r u not increasing the speed, or its just the starting process only.please increase the speed as sooon as poosible...

sir your gprs speed will very slow plese take any desion about this problem other wise your customer will destroyed

aircelgprs speed is pathetic in mumbai & vasai area, they can fool us in the begini'g .probably they learn when user desert them.SO WAKE UP AIRCEL, BEFORE ITS TOO LATE.

I want to say the Aircel chuts.if there is a power in ur .let the consumer give a gud &correct GPRS speed.so we can play youtube videos efficiently.
Bloody chuts take an example of gr8 AIRTEL GPRS SPEED where i can play n number of videos with gr8 speed

Myself Nandkumar Maryapgol, from mumbai . My no is [protected]. i am getting very low speed of GPRS.Aircel customer care told me that our GPRS speed is 40-50 kbps but this is wrong information . the here actual speed of Aircel GPRS is about 1-2 kbps. This is a case of cheating . It is very painful to not only me but also to all the subscribers . The customer care are telling us that it will get well in 7 days. But will they expand their validity. I want some serious step against this fraud. if this problem will not solve within 7 days than i will go to consumer court.
