[Resolved]  Airtel Broadband — Airtel is not disconnecting the connection.

My airtel account no. was 13773813.
I called up airtel customer care serivce and asked for the procedure for disconnecting the service.
I was told that you can subit your request on the customer care and you will get a confirmation call regarding it in few days and then your connection will be disconnected. I did as i was told by airtel customer care. I made the request for disconnecting my broadband connection somewhere around january. After that i got two confirmation calls regarding disconnecting the connection and each time i confirmed it.
I paid the last bill on 3rd March 2009 and clearedthe acccount. I am not using the airtel connection since january and i have not even connected it once since then. After then the real problem started, next month again i recieved the airtel bill and realized that they have not disconnected the connection. i made a call to airtel customer care and they said it will be resolved. Again i got a conformation call regarding disconnecting it, first of all when i have already confirmed it then why are they doing it again, i am not liable to pay now as i am not using their connection and i have already informed them. Since then i am getting airtel bill every month and there is a lady who calls up and every time i make a complaint to airtel customer care and she asks about the confirmation. I do not know how many confirmations does airtel need for disconnecting a connection. And every month they are sending the bill.
The complaint no which i have got from airtel is 19380668.

When i asked that lady from airtel does they do not maintain a database of a customer, she said she dsnt know and she dsnt have any access. I dont know whats happeining. Now its june and this month also they will send the bll and i am not using it since january. I am totally frustrated. Please Soolve my problem. I cant pay the airtel bill because as i have told them to disconnect the connection and they are not doing it.

AirTel — broadband connection not disconnected

I had a landline no.[protected] and had requested to disconnect it in Sept 2008. But after repeated requests and complaints, airtel did not bother to do the same. It's Marh 2009 and the connection has still not been disconnected and the bill is been generated every month. Now they want me to pay the bill which I had already cleared in Oct, 2008.

I am surprised that Airtel is troubling most of its customers like this. It was no.1 but now it stands no where. It is no.1 in mismanagement of services.

Airtel broadband. — raising bill after full and final settlement

I had Airtel broad band with the lad line No.[protected] for last 6 months, i had never been a defaulter while paying.for some personals reasons of mine i opted to get it disconnected.for the same i had paid 2682/- toward full and final settlement via cheque No 823087 Dt 12/03/2009. the representatives also handed over the certificate of full and final settlement.But still a bill of 680/- had been raised this month.My account No of Airtel is :13966725. and bill no. is[protected] dt 18/03/2008.

Airtel Broadband — not disconnecting the broadband connection

Airtel Broadband — Not disconnected since Mar'09 and Bills keep on coming

This is to bring to your kind notice, how Airtel has been harassing us with their pathetic service.

I am Vaibhav Gupta and this connection is in the name of Vibhuti Gupta. The no. is[protected], its an internet broadband connection with the Account no.[protected].

We requested to disconnect this no. in the month of Feb'09 but it was disconnected in Mar'09, hence we had to pay 1 month extra charges. But the things didn't closed down here. Even till date we are getting calls on daily basis to pay the bills as they say that your connection is still active. I am not able to understand why these people are not disconnecting our connection even after multiple requests from us to disconnect it in Mar'09.

Moreover as i have shifted to Punjab, Airtel's customer care people daily call at my home in delhi and irritate my parents to get the connection restarted and make the payment which has mounted to 1800 for last 3 months i.e Apr'09-June'09, which we have not been using and it was supposed to be disconnected in the month of mar'09 itself.

Kindly handle the matter on urgent basis and get it resolved.

I experienced with Airtel Broadband system, for two years and I feel that it is so expensive, now. I decided to disconnect the line at my office; the Number[protected]. The airtel personnels do register the complaint and issue the number of request for disconnecting the connection and give a deadline to disconnect the connection. But when the deadline of disconnecting the connection passes and they made an excuse that your request no. does not exists and you may re-register your request for disconnecting the connection and your connection will be disconnect on this date. 3 months have been passed and my connection is not being closed by Airtel Personnel. My last request number is 25675902 for disconnecting the connection. I request the Airtel Officers to disconnect my services as i am unable to pay these bill any more coz i do not require the connection any more.

It is not understood why broadband connec tion has not been disconnected. I am having all the mail written to you and all will be produced in the court as I am no longer using internet since 01 feb 2010.

First disconnetion request was forwarded to you on[protected] and you replied that broadband will be disconnected within 07 days. It clearly indicate that connection should have been disconntinued from 07 Feb onwards. The person who ever (your rep) has not done his job will be paying my bill from his salary.

It is really shocking to know that customer executive keep on calling telephonically about same and telling lie that your team has given me a assurance for nor disconnection. Today again reference number was for my no. [protected] was 30311000 as on date[protected]

I am not able to understand what is wrong with you people. Your Boss keeps teeling thay aittel is user friendly ? Please go through my all mail and your reply so that you will come to know how you people are harassing to your customer.

This time you will confim from your record avilable with you that connection is no longer in use from 01 Feb onwards. Now it is upto you whether you disconnect and take payment from the person who has not done his duty properly.

Same situation! I had an account of Airtel broadband with the number [protected], for which i requested discontinuation of services in the month of October, 2009. I got around 15 calls from Airtel customer care to confirm for the disconnection of services. After that i got a service disconnection call and i was in peace that the connection no more exists.

It was in January 2010 that I again started getting calls from Airtel that some payment has not been cleared. I unwillingly had to pay Rs 750 after the Airtel people assured me that it would be the last payment. Again in March 2010, i get a call from a lady from Airtel for still pending amount. Again, with the assurance of it being the last payment, i paid Rs 500. I have the receipts of the same and an application signed by the Airtel representative that it is the LAST payment. Now, on 13th April, 2010, i again got the call for the payment not cleared. I mean is it the way Airtel treats its customers...i have been harassed by the company and it is enough. I never thought of it being such a bad experience with Airtel. I request the Airtel team to show concern towards this and help me get out of this problem.

Airtel Broadband — Billing of Disconnected Airtel Broadband Connection

I have a valid request number i.e., 323571 that my broadband connection no. 13955452 have been disconnected. Despite having acquired the valid request number before 16/4/2010 but Airtel has send me another bill from period of 16/4/2010 to 16/5/2010 in which it was clearly stated that I have not used the broadband services and it includes only monthly rental. I have also fax the same on 20/04/2010. But Airtel has issued another bill of 16/4/2010 to 16/5/2010. Please do take immediate actions.
Airtel is using unethical means to launder money from the customers. They have done the same with me. I raised a request for termination of my connection on 24th July 2010 and it was said the rental will be freezed till 26th July and connection will be terminated within 1 week and I'll receive the pro-rated bill. But the request was not processed at all. When on 12th Aug 2010 i received the bill for the full month of July I talked to customer care and they raised another request for termination and it was processed by 15th August. Now I am receiving messages to pay the full amount for July and the bill for August too. While I am calling Airtel customer care every now and then on this concern they raise new requests and say the concern will be resolved but nobody calls me they just keep setting the requests as resolved.

After getting pissed off I had a word with senior supervisor at customer care. He heard the recorded version and found that Ms. Amrita the customer care executive didn't update the request at all against my account on 24th of July and provided the wrong request number. After that he also told the backend support team who gave call for confirmation of termination of connection updated the comment that I want to retain the connection which was a fake comment. Since I moved out of the city why would i continue with the connection. Infact i was not using it since July 2nd 2010 itself.

He has assured me that my request would be processed within next 48 hours on 27th August 2010. Now see what happens. I am seriously pissed on Airtels exit policies they are following for suffering the customer even if he is ready to pay the amount which was his actual consumption. Unethically charging extra to customer by using such tricks will lead them to Consumer Courts as well as questions under RTI.

AirTel — not disconnect the fixed line as request was already registered and confirmed

on 18-20 sept 2010 we requested for closing of my fixed/broadband connection and the request was confirmed.We have already paid the last bill by m-check for Rs 927/- on 14 Oct 2010 vide receipt no-OC28302679.It is shocking that bills are being sent despite the request for closure of account number.
PLEASE TERMINATE THE CONNECTIONS FORTH WITH AS WE HAVE GOT TRANSFERRED OUTSIDE
INDIA AND WILL NOT BE ABLE TO EITHER USE THE CONNECTION OR PAY FOR IT.
I'm Currently undergoing the Airtel Disconnection torture for the past 5 months.
Numerous calls I made to the customer care are useless, I called their nodal office number, still the harassment continues, paid multiple bills even after the disconnection (which I know I'm NOT supposed to, its THEIR billing problem, each time the customer service answers a different outstanding amount) to get rid of them once and for all, still a new bill outstanding amount crops up out of the blue !

I have been requesting Airtel to disconnect my broadband connection since 6th Jan'2011. This is due to their poor quality but everytime they come up with some excuses and promise me to fix he problem. However, till now (24th Feb 2011) they are not able to fix the problem. They says that they will send a technicial to fix the problem but none has come to my house to see the problem so far.

It is really annoying that neither they are disconnecting the connection and charging me every month and nore they are fixing the problem.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I was availing an Airtel Broadband connection with number [protected] at Ludhiana.

Subsequently as i was transferred to Hyderabad I had to request for disconnection of the number which had done on 19th March 2011.

However even after repetitive reminders my connection is yet to be disconnected.

Further today i have received a call from the customer care that my connection has been successfully retained with my request. I may mention that i have never made any such request and the company is making FRAUD CLAIM that i have made this request.

I fail to understand the fraud claim of the company and the pathetic response given to the consumers.

You are requested to kindly take up the case so that i am not harassed by making me pay for additional period that i have not used.

I fail to understana the reason why resolving the issue is taking so much time.
First the connection was restored without my consent and now the disconnection is taking time.

Matter taken up with nodal office still has to yield any result.

I just wanted that the rental should not be charged from the first request date for disconnection.

I will be joining at hyderabad soon and i will keep it in mind that i never ever take any airtel service ever (dth, mobile or fixed line).

Still i believe the matter can be resolved in short period if looked upon with the intent of resolving.

First of all there is no where to place a dis connect request for Airtel broadband.... I have gone thru their painful menu options multiple times the operators redirect from one to other saying they are not the dept to accept disconnect requests...

Finally I have decided that I stop paying my monthly bills so that they will disconnect...Here started a new story...they call me for my non payment of monthly bill and I ask them please disconnect my connection and I will pay the balance amount...they say that they are not the concerned dept to accept disconnection requests...one nice operator after so many troubles advised me to send an email to [protected]@airtel.in. Even after sending the email there was no response from Airtel and my connection is still not disconnected. I have no other option now to complain here and stop all the payments...
