Airtel Broadband Connection — False Promise and no services

HI, I had applied for the broadband connection of the Airtel at my place 92F, 3rd Floor, Munirka 110067, New Delhi. For which the company sent their representatives at my place on 28th of August 2009 and collected a cash amount of Rs. 1000 and gave me the slip.He Promised me the connection within 2 days.I kept waiting unless i gave a call at their costomer support center, only to get a promise that the process is going on and they will install the broadband connection by 11 AM next day.This process took long and it became habit to give me time and fail to respond till that date.After 5th of September 2009, i enquired just to know that connection at my place is not possible due to some technical reasons.I asked why this information was not given to me from their side, but they had no satifactory answers.I logged a complain with their call center and they assured me that action will be taken, but it was also a false thing as their previous statements.Now they are refusing to return my money, and telling me that because of TRAI rules they can hold my money for 45 days, and i will be getting a refund only after this period of time.
I just want to ask the fairness of the rules like this where the service provider takes money, does not provide any kind of service and hold the money without any reason for long period.What action can be taken to prevent this kind of harrasment?

Airtel Broadband Connection — Misleading selling tactics

Airtel Broadband Connection with Wi-Fi Modem was sold to us Airtel Salesperson (Biswajit Dutta,F.S.O)promising us to take care of disconnection procedure of our exsisting B.S.N.L Broadband Connection. He took all relevant documents from us two months ago. Till date he has done nothing and also not responding to our phone-calls.As a result, we are are to pay perforce, monthly charges to two companies.

I had applied for the broadband connection of the Airtel at my place 28C, 2nd Floor, Pocket - I , sec-18 Rohini 110085, New Delhi. The Airtel representatives Brijesh Thakur & Ghanshayam ( [protected] , [protected] )visited my place on 2nd of Jan 2010 and collected a cheque amount of Rs. 1500, Form number 2060701 and gave me the receipt.
They Promised me that they will install the broadband connection by 12:00 Hrs next day & activate the broadband by 20:00 Hrs.
I kept waiting unless i gave a call at their costomer support center, only to know that there will be no installation on 3rd jan 2010 .
I was earliar using the MTNL broadband connection and was not happy with the support service , Airtel gave me the green picture of their fast & good service , Now I feel " AASMAN SE GIRE TO KHAJOOR MAIN ATTUKKE "
I want to know that what action can be taken to prevent this kind of harrasment & demand compenstation for the time without net connectivity all because of irresponsible airtel sales people?

Airtel Broadband — money not refunded after false promise of new connection.

sir,
i have applied for a new broadband connection on 16th march 2010 from airtel.the executive visited my home and took the formalities and the money and promised that the broadband will be activated within 3 days. after that he vanished.now when i called Airtel they say that services in our area is not possible because the port is not free here. i asked for the refund but till now i have not got my refund. and the concerned executive not picking the ph even.The executives name is Rupesh , no [protected]. date of recieving money is 18/03/2010. my application form number is 145040. im really fed up. Please help me.

AirTel — New broadband Connection not provided as promised

Dear Sir,
I have had a very bad experience with Airtel brodband services. I have not received the connection which was promised 6 days back. Instead I get back a message saying your amount would be refunded due to connection being not feasible. Feasibility must have been checked before the representative comes in or booking the connection. This is as per Airtel policy.
I recently shifted from Bangalore to Chennai and my father being an existing customer of Airtel, I wanted to take a new broadband connection from airtel. But unfortunately I now regret for having even spoken to the Airtel people.
I called up Airtel customer care on Thursday, 4th Nov 2010 requesting a new broadband. They told me the representative would call after confirming the feasibility and connection availability in my area. Within an hour, there were two people who contacted me and just as in a race, both of them turned up, though we booked the connection with first person. He promised to give the connection by 8th Nov 2010. On 8th Nov we called him umpteen times and each time he told me connection would come in few minutes and then next day I receive an SMS saying there is no connection in your area.
The area is not a remoteone. It is Anna Nagar, considered to be prime area in Chennai. If your connection is not available at all, then how come in the first place your people came rushing to book the connection? In case you had told me on the day I booked that it was not possible, there would not have been a need to have waited these days I would have opted to go in for bsl broadband. It was a mental torture the whole day stating the connection would come now and then. Which means your aim is cheap publicity stating best broadband and you can get in remote places lke forest etc. And it is a cheating job of these representatives and it has spoilt the reputation of Airtel.

I am not expecting a refund of the amount, I want the connection which was promised. I still do believe some one would look into this matter and get back.
what about the documents that I have submitted to you, since I have provided my passport details.
I am very sorry to say but I think airtel thinks customers are people to be played with like toys. I was given a call on 9th November at 10:00pm in the night stating if you come now, we will give you the connection. We started to get back home and after 15 minutes there comes a reply stating tonight is not possible, please come tomorrow- 10th nov at 8:30 am. We waited till 10:00 am and there was no reponse. We tried calling the repr. which he never attended and later switched off. I definitely want to escalate this issue since this has been a total mental torture. I no more want the connection at all. Even before getting the connection I am harrassed like this. what would happen if i become the customer. Being in the IT company I will put up in my groups regarding this issue and publicize the true face of airtel. And get it known to people in other companies as well through my friends. I hope no body else would undergo this torture henceforth since no more would ppl would be interested in getting the connection.

I would like to appreciate the effort taken by the customer service team of Airtel to get this issue resolved.
