Airtel DTH — Airtel DTH's pathetic after sales service

I bought two airtel dth, believing that Airtel will provide competitive service as they provide in telecom sector.
I couldn’t be more wrong. It seems they don’t care about customers after selling their product. They’re the last ones to add new channels. Also when my STB stopped working, they took 7 days to get me a new one.
They took Rs 100 as visiting charge and deducted Rs 400 from my dth account as new STB charges, and to my horror the STB they provided has stopped working too. I complained again, but they closed my ticket again. I have lost my will and energy to complain again. I am planning for Videocon D2H, they give all the channels in their bouquet at Rs 290, way cheaper than Airtel and TATA Sky. Also they’re providing the package free for 4 months.
Airtel sucks, they’ll lose customers as they have started taking us for granted.

Airtel DTH — Pathetic after sales service

I would advise everyone not to go for Airtel DTH. They have got the worst after sales service. My customer ID is [protected]. I had book a connection on 1st April'11. For collection the money, these guys came within 2 hours of my request, but post the collection of money, no action has been taken. I have lost the count of the number of calls that I have made the customer care, but no respite.

I had asked these guys to give me a time when they'll come for the installation. I took a leave, but no one every bothered calling on that day. I made numerious calls to their customer care but to no good effect. Finally I got the number of their supervisor. She told me that it could not be done on that day and would be done the next day. I took another leave, but till date, no one has cared to even call me, forget the installation.

These guys have no respect for someone eles's time. I have already taken two vacation for getting the DTH installed but the worst part is, that it has not been installed yet.

I am amazed to see such pathetic service from Airtel, where as the only reason I went for Airtel was their service.

Again, think twice before getting their connection. I have already started the process to get the refund. I would rather go for some other service provider than Airtel.

DTH — Pathetic after sales services

I lodged a complaint , Complaint number 8461629 on 28th May-11 and was given resolution time of 1:57 pm on 29th May-11 .

- I received a message also for the same where a phone number was given . When I spoke to that guy he said my area is not under him so he will not come here to rectify the issue .



- I called many times at customer care and but they were saying this will be resolved by same person whose number is mentioned in the messsage .




- After that I spoke to a lady with the name Angelina who assuared me that the issue will be resolved today at any cost and I will get a call in 15 min to confirm the address , No body called me . I called customer care and got to know that nothing is going on at back end .



- I called at customer care where a guy with name 'Rahul' picked up the call who put us on hold and disconnected the call after some time .



- Worst of all , I received a message at 5:10 pm , That the issue has been resolved . Whereas no body has visited us and issue is NOT resolved yet . There was number in the message that I can speak to this person in case issue is not resolved . I called him and got a reply that " How many times I have to explain you that this is not my area " (Name of the person is PRADEEP - Phone number [protected]).

please let others aware of it and if possible post it in Facebook or other social media sites..that way you can help others from using this crap ...

i completely agree that AIRTEL service is worst in the busines, that is coz there are some irresponsible Airtel DTH officers who are not ready to take the ownership.


in short don't go for AIRTEL DTH.
